Changing Report Title format in Discover 4i Viewer

I have been reviewing the style sheets for configuring discoverer 4i viewer and have been able to change logos and remove copyrights etc. but I am having difficulty changing the format of the report title. the current title concatinates the discoverer report owner, name and description. ex:
SYSADMIN.Search_Pending_and_Approved.DIS - Search Deals and Opportunities
which frankly looks aweful to an end user, much less an external end user (we are pushing reports out to partners via Partner Management partner portal).
I think that I found the place to change this in the gui objects style sheet, but it appears that there is only one parameter passing this whole thing. Is there a way to just display the description. ex:
Search Deals and Opportunities
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Right click on the date field -> choose textbox properties -> choose number -> choose Date -> and choose the format you want or choose a custom format "YYYY-MM-DD"

Change Report Title

Hello Guys,
I have an editable ALV in which the user is able to change the entries by clicking a Change Button. For this purpose i have used the class <b>cl_gui_alv_grid</b>.
I need to change the Report Title from 'Display Report' & 'Change Report' when the user clicks the change button in the ALV.

Change Report Title for an RDL

I have deployed an SSRS report to Sharepoint 2013 that has a name I do not want to display to the users. I tried entering the desired name of the report in the Title field of the properties page for the RDL but it did not make any change to
what the end user sees. Is this not the purpose of the Title field on the Edit Properties page? Is there a way to change the name without changing the name of the RDL itself?

The RDL - report definition is operated by SharePoint as any other common file inside the Document Library. The only difference is the opening behavior and context menu actions. The same as in common Document Library is also the naming of the file which
consists from Name ( the name of the RDL file ), Title and Description. If you need to show to the users only Title, you have to create a custom view for the Report library and set it as default. On the other hand by no means of customization ( except of programming
of custom Report Library ) you can achieve hidding of report file name at all places ( i.e. Display form, Edit form, Listing ... ).

Formatting date of Presentation Variable in Report title

I have the following presentation variable, @{PR_WE_DATE}{Week End Date}, in a report title. However the date format shown in the title is different from the format in the prompt.
In the report title the date format is YYYY-MM-DD however I want to display it as DD_MM_YYYY
Can anyone let me know if it possible to format the date format for a presentation variable?

I've tried this and all this output to the title is 2009-12-03[DD_MM_YYYY]
Any other suggestions? Maybe I can change it when I set the variable in the prompt, did try {variable}[DD_MM_YYYY], in the prompt but it didn't work

Changing Oracle Report Output Format at runtime

Dear All,
I've custom Oracle Report in Oracle Apps., and would like to give the users an option to select the output format (XML, TEXT, PDF, etc.) whilst submitting the request.
As a SYSADMIN, we can modify the Output Format value of the concurrent program(Oracle Report in this case) to one we like.
But I would like the user to select this output format option at runtime, rather then hard coding at SYSADMIN level. For that I've to create a Value Set with the desired report output format options, and attach this to the concurrent program.
My question is, how we can make the desired output format to work at runtime?
If any one can help?

I'm running an Oracle Report in Oracle Apps. release 11.5.9
The default output format of this report is TEXT, which is defined in its concurrent program.
This report is submitted using standard request submission screen, and after successful completion we can view the output by pressing "View Output" button on "Requests" screen. This will open an another window and we can view the output page by page. Using "Tools>Copy File..." menu option, we can view the same output in IE window.
Now, how does your resolution fits here and how can I view the same report in XML format?

Report Title and Text Area issue when exported to pdf using Viewer

Hi there,
We are using OracleBI Discoverer Version 10.1.2.55.26
We have reports that displays Report title containing the following
- Report Title
- Runt Date and Time
- Page No
And text area which displays 'Last Page'
Following properties are set at the worksheet level using page setup
Report Title --> 'Print on every Page'
Text Area --> 'Print on last page'
The report when exported to PDF using Discoverer plus works fine and displays report title and text area as defeined.
But when we try to export the same report to pdf from Discoverer viewer, it displays
- Report title on first page only.
- text area on all pages
All our users accesses report using discoverer viewer so we cannot open discoverer plus to them.
Is there a solution which will enable us to export the report in pdf using discoverer viewer and displays the same output as discoverer plus.
Please let me know... If you have any questions then please feel free to ask.

Well, if typographic objects are colour managed, the colour appearance is dependent on the source ICC profile that describes the colourants in the typographic objects and the destination ICC profile that describes the colours the display is able to form and the RBC colourant combinations that will form those colours.
In general, typographic objects should have special treatment, since the expectation is not that typographic objects should be colour managed, but that typographic objects should simple be set to the maximum density of dark. On a display, that is R=0 G=0 B=0 and on a seperations device (a lithographic press) that is C=0 M=0 Y=0 K=100.
If for some reason typographic objects are colour managed, and if the ICC profiles for the displays are off by half a mile or more in relation to the actual state of the display system, then the colours will not be the same. On the other hand, if those displays are calibrated and characterized, then the colourants will be converted to form the same colours on the displays.

When printing using ReportDocument in Visual Basic .NET program to a printer, the Document name is "document".

You can only do it using RAS I believe by using the PrintReportOptions objects JobTitle property.
This is only available using Enterprise or CR XI R2 SP2.

In su01 if we go and change the date format from MM/YYYY to MM.YYYY for a particular user ex:ss11 , if another user ex:bst55 try to run the web report he/she may get same error .If we make the change in su01-> default tab->under date format for a particular user , is it work for other users?
Can u tell me step by step where exactly we need to go in AWB and where need to modify.

Changing BW report title

Dear all expert,
My user request me to change the BW report title. I changed the description at Query Properties, but when i run the report, the title still remain as old title, but if i refresh the query, it will only update the query title to the new title.

You better dont disturb that query which you want to changes the desc. better you copy the query to a new name in query designer. and execute the new one.Assign points if it is useful.

Hiding report title in Group Tree View Pane

In a .rpt file, if I provide a Group Field, it is displayed in the "Group Tree View" when I preview the report.
The Group Tree View pane also contains the name of the report - actually the title. Is there a way that I can choose not to show report title on this pane?
Here is my requirement:
I'm localizing the report file and that includes localizing group names too. I've also localized the report title by using a formula and displaying the formula in the report header. But this pane - Group Tree View - uses report title from "Special Fields", which I'm not able to modify. So I'm always getting the non-localized report title displayed on this pane, which I want to avaid somehow.
If I remove report title from the report properties, this pane shows report file name instead, which again i do not want to be displayed.

After removing the report title from the report properties try to place a space " " in the report title field in summaryinfo so that a blank space is shown in the group tree.
