Changing Safari's default mail app...
Anybody know how to change Safari's default mail app??
I don't use Apple Mail, I prefer Entourage and I would love to have it as the default mail app in Safari. When I hit command + I or command + Shift + I , I want Entourage to open, not Mail. Is there any way to do this?
Methods that don't involve going under the bonnet (hood for you Americans) would be preferred.
...but if I must go under the bonnet/hood then I wouldn't mind setting the google bar to go to Google.co.uk not .com
Any suggestions?

It never ocurred to me that I might set my default mail app from within Mail... because I never open it except for when Safari opened it by default (grrr).
I thought I might have to use a hack or Terminal (that's what I meant by going under the bonnet (hood)really) but it turns out to be so simple if you only know how - and that's the absolute joy of these forums.
I suspect changing the default localisation for the Google search bar in Safari would be more complex however...

Edit: For anybody anybody else who sets Entourage as their default mail app; be aware that it doesn't permit mailing a whole webpage from Safari (Command + I) only the link to the page (Command + Shift + I). Try it and you'll get an alert recommending you use Apple Mail. lol

This is probably not the answer to all your questions, but I am sure it answers some.
Unlike Word and InDesign, FrameMaker's anchored frames, which hold graphics, "hang" from their insertion points, typically at the end of the paragraph. An anchored frame that follows a paragraph is set to be below the line, the line being the last line in the paragraph. If you turn on View > Text Symbols, you will see a marker that indicates the point from which the anchored frame is hanging.
If the anchored frame is taller than the available space, it is moved to the next page ALONG with that last line. If the paragraph style/tag has a widow/orphan lines number that is more than 1, then that number of lines are also moved to the next page, because the paragraph tag says to keep that many together, EVEN if there is space at the bottom of the previous page.
So, you can set the widow/orphan lines number smaller OR as you have done put a blank line before the anchored frame, which now holds the marker for the anchored frame, and set its font size to 2 pt (the lowest FrameMaker allows) and its line height to zero. This is the standard workaround UNLESS you use the line above the anchored frame as the title/caption of a figure, which is also a typical way of dealing with FrameMaker's ways.
To my knowledge, one cannot change the default of the checked cropped box. Maybe others know of some way to change this.
There is no page break in FrameMaker, hence there is no symbol for it. In the paragraph designer for the paragraph, you set to Start of the paragraph to Top of page. Top of page is FrameMaker's equivalent to a page break. To "remove" a page break, set the Start of the paragraph to Anywhere.
Since you are new to FrameMaker, I suggest reading throught the User Manual that comes with FrameMaker. You will likely find the answers to most of your questions there.

I am unable to Send E-mail via Default mail app in my iphone. IOS7, i have account of icloud, Gmail, Microsoft all the account are well added, i can recieve e-mails but the massage i send is never sent
Turns out this was a simple set up error for me, although i'd set up mobile me to sync my e mails I had never set up my outgoing message server. Therefore, if I received a message from me.com I could reply no problem, however if the message came from aol.com I couldn't reply.

How to log into gmail with default Mail app
So my gmail has a 2 step verification option to have it more secure, but the default mail app on my iphone 5S does not give me the option to give a second verification so I can't log in.
They continuously say my password is incorrect because of this...
Any way to fix this please?

You have to go to the double verification setup in browser https://accounts.google.com/b/0/SmsAuthSettings and generate an app specific password, this is the only way it'll work. -
Changing Preferred Language leaves Mail.app's FLAGS menu showing the last non-English language
After changing the System's Preferred Language to FRANCAIS, then back again to BRITISH ENGLISH, I've found that the FLAGS menu of MAIL.APP will not change back to ENGLISH.
e.g.
- I change the Preferred Language setting to FRANCAIS,
- I restart Mail.app.
- I change the Preferred Language setting to BRITISH ENGLISH
- I restart Mail.app.
The Flags menu is still in FRANCAIS. Every other menu is using the correct language
- I then change the Preferred Language to ESPANOL
- I restart Mail.app
- I change the Preferred Language setting to BRITISH ENGLISH
The Flags Menu is now in ESPANOL.
It seems I can change the FLAGS menu to anything other than ENGLISH or BRITISH ENGLISH.
Rebooting between changes and/or leaving Mail.app open or closed seems to make no difference.
It's quite annoying as I make extensive use of keyboard shortcuts to flag emails....!
Any clues?I should point out that every other menu is changing correctly to reflect the Preferred Language. It is just the FLAGS menu that is not changing to english.

Safari Browser and Mail App cannot be opened.
After I turn off my iPod Touch and start up again, Safari browser and my Mail App crashes every time I open it. I tried to reboot the device again, and it did not work. I'm going to have to restore, but my question is:
What are the reasons for this? This has never happen to me before.
Replies appreciated.Almost all the times things like that just happens and they seldom return. If i keeps recurring after restoring to factory defaults/new iPod then you likely have a hardware problem.

Default Mail app not working with yahoo mail. Won't update.
Default Maill app not working with Yahoo Mail.
It stopped working the other day. I tried everything but it wouldn't update new mail. The yahoo account itself is fine because I can see new mail on Yahoo or a yahoo app.
I tried deleting the account and putting it back on, but now it has 0 mail in any part of it. Nothing has synced.
What do I do?
iPad 2 latest OS.A lot of people have been unable to access Yahoo e-mail on their iPhones or iPads. My wife’s iPad was not downloading Yahoo mail, although her iPhone was. Both used IOS 8.2. We tried deleting the account several times and troubleshooting all of the other settings. The problem appears to have been that allowing the IOS to automatically create the account on the iPad resulted in the wrong settings for the incoming server. The following procedure, pieced together from two websites, fixed the problem for us. So far, so good.

My system keeps thinking that the default mail application is Gmail (I have google notifier installed) when I have my preferences set to Mail.app. Mail.app's preferences say that it's Mail.app and Google Notifier says that the default mail composer is Mail.app. Can someone help me resolve this problem?
Sorry, but I don't use GMail. Since you use GMail to receive mail then it is the default "reader." GMail simply uses Mail for composing email. OS X Mail is already set up as the default mail program for both reading and composing email if you have it set as the default.

I'm struggling to work out why; when you click on the "Contact" link/movie clip on my home page, it No Longer launches my Entourage default mail application. The action script is below. I've tried implementing loads of different mailto: as3 codes into my existing code, however none of them seem to be working with my existing code. I'm not an expert coder and could really use some idiot proof instructions/code here, what the code is, where to place it in the existing code and what other buttons/movie clip/instance name I'll need to create? Default mail app and gmail issues
Hi, I recently got fed up with Google denying us the possibility to switch off the dreaded conversation view. So - I switched to using the default Sony email app connected to my gmail account. Two issues:
When I delete a mail after reading it will often (not always) reappear in the inbox later. Gmail has two options for what will happen when deleting messages, both produce the same error. Didn't happen with the gmail app.
Scrolling when reading a mail is horribly slow.
Anyone have any tips?The Gmail app is a direct link to Gmail so deleting from the Gmail app will delete said email however from the default email app that is simply put a forwarding address so the email will not be deleted - It may be deleted or made exempt from future sync'ing but you often find that if the email hasn't fully loaded then it will be seen as unread and will reappear

I'm running Safari 5.1.4, and Mail 5.2 on a system running OS 10.7.3.
I am trying to send a link to a page from safari using CMD+SHIFT+I. When I attempt to do that, I receive a message that Safari cannot find an email application. I checked Mail's preferences, and it is listed as the default mail application.

I get this message when I try to send a link (or page) from safari +"Safari couldn’t create an email message to send the link because it couldn’t locate an email application."+ I believe my problem stems from trying out the mozzilla mail app. I don't have the install disc as I bought the computer used with the OS installed. I tried removing the p.list from the library preferences, without success, is there anything else I can do?

Invoking default mail app. from forms

We want to invoke default mail application by the click of a
form's button. We also want to pass on a default textarea of the
form into the body of that e-mail.
Any help in this regard will be appreciated.

nullI haven't tried it yet, but can you use the web.show_document
built-in to invoke a WEB link of the form
'mailto:name@location'? If not then to generate a static HTML
page on the server containing the mail link and all the
appropriate text to pre-load and then use show_document to
invoke this. The WEB browser would need to be configured to
launch the appropriate mail client.
