Changing servers

Were switching two servers and I was wondering, what's the easiest way to move a scheduler and then associate the scheduler with the new server name?
Thanks,
Isaac Bonds

Hi Isaac,
If this is the CPS integrated version, then you can simply rename the ProcessServer (only if it is a OS Process Server). If it is an SAP Process Server, you only need to change the connect string for the SAP system.

Anton.

Just changed servers. Changed Apple ID to new email but having trouble with iCloud. Although I followed directions for changing the Apple ID, iCloud ID didn't change. Thought about deleting old iCloud and adding new, but got warning that I'd lose everything in iCloud when I did that. Help!

    Problem has been solved.

I have moved my @me mail to icloud and now i am unable to log on through my mail on my mail. Do i need to change the servers or something?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Delete your mail account from Mail preferences and set it up again using the Mail Server Information.
Some users have apparently encountered issues using this information in pre-Lion set ups (I haven't), Roger Wilmut has kindly provided instructions for those who find themselves with this problem.

  • Radius errors after changing servers

    Hi,
I'm still trying to get access so I cannot relate the exact error message, but after changing a 5508 to use a Server 2012 Radius server (from Server 2008), the 5508 is showing error messages about it cannot contact the Radius server even though it can ping the Radius server and authentication is working from the new radius server.
The 5508 is running older 7.0x code. Is that the cause of the messages?
    Thanks.

Software version shouldn't affect it. Have you checked the necessary ports (1645,1646,1812,1813) and the Shared Secret? And have you checked the new RADIUS box has all of the correct rules,, EAP Types and Certs that you need?

  • Changed servers now need to change new email ID on ICloud but can't?

After changing service providers and new email addresses, I have been going through the process of updating my programs.  I have created a new ID in ICloud (new email address) but can't seem to be able to transfer (and get rid of) old ID email?

I'm with JC4567, I have my old email turn up when going into my iCloud settings. It won't let me change the email to my new one (this new email and password are already updated on my PC. Why can't it just automatically update all other devices with it???), it's grey'ed out so I can't click and edit. I read somewhere that if we delete (older ios) or log off (newer ios) iCloud in the Settings then we can log in with the new AppleID and password. When I tried that it brought up my old AppleID and demanded my old password to my to turn off the "Find My iPhone" part in the iCloud. So I couldn't delete/log out of iCloud without turning off Fimd My iPhone. Catch 22. How do we fix that?

  • Changing servers/admin computer

Hello. I need to move everything from my server to a new server before getting rid of the old one. At the same time, or close to it, I need to change the computer that I'm using for server admin and workgroup manager. The server is staying in the same place, and the static IP can stay the same. I mainly use the server for hosting websites, mail and open directory. I am not worried about transferring over documents and things like that (easy peasy) but I am wondering if bringing over the mail and open directory will be as straightforward. Any suggestions on how to make this go smoothly will be greatly appreciated. I will also need to bring over all of my mysql information. I am concerned about whether the admin tools will be compromised, so to speak. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know. This is my first time transferring everything to a new server, and I'm a little nervous about it. Thanks in advance.

I need to change the computer that I'm using for Server Admin and Workgroup Manager.
None of the Server Admin or Workgroup Manager data is stored on the computer you use to run the Admin programs. It is ALL on the Server. Change your admin computer seventeen times a day if you like. All you need to do for that part is to install the about six programs from the server admin CD onto whatever Mac(s) you want to use for server admin.

  • How to change servers/webhosts

We are running 4.5 and changing webhosts.  Is there a doc somewhere that could help us with how to go about it?  We plan on upgrading to 5.0 after we make the move - trying to eliminate as many variables as we can.

    man changeip
Run changeip first and then change the IP in System Preferences

  • I've just changed servers for my email and have automatically installed it on to Thunderbird but can't work out how to get the Sent, Junk, Trash boxes to show?

All that's showing is my Inbox and a Deleted box under it. I don't have a Sent, Drafts or Archive icons showing and when I send emails they go but they don't save to either Sent or Drafts.
How do I get these boxes please?
    Kim

Note; if you did not get a copy of the emails off the old server into your Local Folders and you move away from the old server to a new server, you will not have any access to those emails on the old server.

  • Changes to Contribute Connections - a howto?

    Hello all...
have one client who we host for that uses Contribute - and
we're about to change servers for them, but I've no idea (and they
don't either) as to "what" to do to allow them to connect to the
new server. They do have a pretty simple connection key, so what
I'd like is a how-to on how to change that for the new server.
Perhaps it's as simple as changing the IP or some such item...but
as we dont' own same I've no idea on how to accomplish this. Is
there someone here who can provide a short quick stepbystep guide
    to same?
    Jim

I have exactly the same problem. It seems like I can't edit
    the connection
key and that I have to create the Publisher settigns all over
    again.
Furthermore, after doing that (I administer the site from DW
    2004), the new
role settings won't stick. They are gone the moment I close
    the dialog.
What I would like to do if possible would be to:
    1) Just change the connection settings to the new server in
    the old
    connection key.
If that's not possible, I would like to:
    2) Import the old Publisher role settings. It seems however
    like they are
stored on the old server to which I no longer have access,
    and the domain is
moved of course, so the http address and the ftp address
    don't match any
    longer.

  • Default Domain Policy Not Applying Settings to Servers or Clients

I have 2008 R2 DC's with a functioning level of 2003.  Our domain servers are a mix of 2003, 2008, 2008 R2, and 2012 and our clients are a mix of Windows 7 Pro and Windows 8.1 Pro.
I recently made a change to the Default Domain Policy located at Computer Configuration -> Policies -> Windows Settings -> Security Settings -> Local Policies -> Security Options
For the Security Policy setting called: Network security: Configure encryption types allowed for Kerberos
The change was to enable DES because of a specific need that I have with an application that I work with but enabling DES and leaving the other options such AES unselected caused other applications to not work right.  I decided to revert the changes
back to "Not Defined" but those changes did not reflect on the servers even after running the gpupdate /force command.
In order to keep the application working that broke, we enabled all of the encryption levels such as DES, AES, etc. on the server that's running the application via it's Local Security Policy as a temporary fix.
Now, I want to make sure all servers receive the settings from the Default Domain Policy and have their Local Security Policies reflect the "Not Defined" setting but it's not applying.  It seems like they worked when I first applied them but
when I try to remove them it does not work.
If I change the setting directly on the Local Security Policy on the server or clients it shows "No minimum" instead of "Not Defined" which I've heard can be fixed by identifying the registry entry for that setting and deleting it...so
help with the location and how to identify that key would also be helpful.
My goal is not to manually have to change servers and clients to revert back to their default settings...I want the Domain policy to apply and override the servers and client's Local Security Policy.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated and thank you in advance.

    refer:
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj852180(v=ws.10).aspx
We needed to implement a similar scenario a few years ago (when we introduced Windows7 into our estate).
We had an SAP/NetWeaver implementation which always worked on WinXP, but failed on Win7.
We had to enable the DES ciphers, since those were disabled by default in Win7. We discovered that we also needed to enable all the other ciphers (those which are enabled by default[not configured]).
i.e., when we changed the setting from "Not Configured", enabled DES, and left the RC4/AES stuff untouched by us, the RC4/AES stuff attracted a status of disabled.
So, we had to set the DES ciphers to Enabled, and, also set the RC4/AES ciphers to Enabled - this gave us the "resultant" enablement of the default stuff and the needed change/addition of DES.
When you set a GP setting "back to Not Configured", depending upon the setting *AND* the individual Windows feature itself - one of two things will happen:
    a) the feature will "revert" to default behaviour
    b) the feature will retain the current configured behaviour but becomes un-managed
In classic Group Policy terms, condition (b) above is often referred to as "tattooing", i.e., the last GP setting remains in effect even though GPMC/RSOP/etc does not reveal that to be the case.
(This is also a really good example of not doing this sort of stuff in the DDP. It could have borked your whole domain :)
What I'd suggest, is that you re-enable your ciphers for KRB settings again - this time, enable all the ciphers that would normally be "default", let that replicate around, and allow time for domain members to action it.
Then, set the setting back to Not Configured. This way, the "last" settings issued by GP will be those you want to remain as the "legacy".
Note: the GP settings reference s/sheet, has this to say:
Network security: Configure encryption types allowed for Kerberos
This policy setting allows you to set the encryption types that Kerberos is allowed to use.
If not selected, the encryption type will not be allowed. This setting may affect compatibility with client computers or services and applications. Multiple selections are permitted.
This policy is supported on at least Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2.

  • Which ntp servers should i use for oracle enterprise installations

i see that the default oracle enterprise ntp servers installed are the red hat rhel ntp servers
    [enterprise install ntp|http://www.flickr.com/photos/osde-info/5393087522/]
    0.rhel.pool.ntp.org
    1.rhel.pool.ntp.org
    2.rhel.pool.ntp.org
but should i change these to ntp servers from a local pool ?

These servers do not really exist. They are DNS trickery. So, it does not really matter what their names are. Everything to the left of pool.ntp.org is largely just for uniqueness at the client (your) end. There will be no issues if you continue to use them.
Visit http://support.ntp.org/bin/view/Servers/WebHome to find a list of public sites willing for you to use them as time servers in case you want to change servers.

  • Links Broken after server change

My Company changed servers recently (Including a new Server name) and all links to that server have been broken.  I can manually re-direct these to the new path, but was wondering if any one knew of a batch edit/search and replace tool as after the server name everything remainds the same.

[ moved to the correct forum ]
It's not possible unless you use a custom plugin (i.e. write one). Scripting and automation inside Acrobat can create new links but cannot read the destinations of existing ones.
