Changing service if this does not get remedied.

I have been a loyal customer for many years and pay a good amount to you each month for our family plan. I am in the Boeing discount plan and have always gotten excellent customer service.  But today I am LIVID.  I spent 2.5 hours yesterday trying to add my son as an account manager so that my son, who was standing at a Verizon store, could upgrade his phone that had been stolen.  Of that 2.5 hours, I spent about 2-1/4 hours on HOLD. Seriously?  So you've behaved like every other large corporation, reduced your number of employees and now expect the remaining employees to each do the work of 5 people?  I tried to make the account change online but was unable to, even after jumping through stupid hoops having a text message sent with a secret PIN number to use.  Still didn't work. After waiting at one point ON HOLD for 45 minutes I finally reached a nice woman who tried to help me but was unable to because of your policy changes.  I would get a text message sent to my son's phone (not the one trying to upgrade because he had his phone stolen, and your system would not let it be sent to me.....really?....) then I would have to contact my son at work to try to get the code and by the time I got the code back to the system and/or rep it would no longer take the code and I'd have to start over.  Meanwhile, at the store my upgrading son was waiting at - Seattle - University Village - there was one person who tried to help my son but could not without the manager's assistance, and  the manager refused to try to help him.  Seriously???? I know **** well she sure could have helped him if she had been so inclined.  In the past all I had to do was give them my identifying information and they would authorize an upgrade.  I know she could have solved the problem if she had tried. During this time  I managed to get my car from the park & ride, drive to the grocery store, get groceries, load them in my car, drive home, leave home, drive to an appointment 1/2 hour away and REMAINED ON HOLD THE ENTIRE TIME between the 2 calls I had to make.  Absolutely unacceptable.  When I finally was able to talk to the 2nd customer service person by phone, she was kind enough to call the store where my son was waiting and then the manager at that store put HER on hold for another 15 minutes.  My son told me later that the manager was completely unprofessional in the store in terms of customer service, not only to him but to others in the store as well.  I do not fault the telephone customer service reps for this - they did their best to help me. However, clearly you do not have enough employees to handle the call volume and clearly you need to change the systems you have in place so that they are customer friendly.  I am so angry at the waste of time you cost my son and I trying to make a simple change.  LIVID. You need to make some changes or you are going to lose customers in droves and I will be the first in line to go.

    The first thing I would suggest is for you to go to the folder containing your catalog, using your system browser. There will be a folder that has the extension .lrdata. Delete that folder, and then try to start Lightroom. If that doesn't work, replace your catalog with your most recent backup.

  • In iGoogle with firefox 4 I am unable to get the tabs to change down the left hand side or get any response to selections made to items like calender or weather this does not happen in Explorer 9.

    After loading FireFox 4 all worked OK for a while. Now when trying to change the tabs on left hand side (Home etc) or change selections on the apps (Weather or Calender) nothing happens. I am running iGoogle with FireFox 4 but this does not happen when trying the same thing with Explorer 9.

    Having the same problem, but not only can't change tabs, but cannot open links on the page. I thought that by reducing my iGoogle page to one tab, and putting what content I could into app tabs that would solve most of the problems. It did some. For a while I was able to bypass this with the iGoogle Tab Remover add-on but it stopped working last night and I've not been able to get it working since.

    Back up all data before making any changes. Please take each of the following steps until the problem is resolved.
    Step 1
    If Adobe Reader or Acrobat is installed, and the problem is just that you can't print PDF's displayed in Safari, you may be able to print by moving the cursor to the the bottom edge of the page, somewhere near the middle. A black toolbar may appear under the cursor. Click the printer icon.
    Step 2
    There should be a setting in its preferences of the Adobe application such as Display PDF in Browser. I don't use those applications myself, so I can't be more precise. Deselect that setting, if it's selected.
    Step 3
    If you get a message such as ""Adobe Reader blocked for this website," then from the Safari menu bar, select
    Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Security
    and check the box marked
    Allow Plug-ins
    Then click
    Manage Website Settings...
    and make any required changes to the security settings for the Adobe PDF plugin.
    Step 4

    If you don’t like the results of this procedure, restore the items from the backup you made before you started. Relaunch Safari.

    In our production solution manager transaction solution_manager, self diagnosis we are getting a warning message on our development solution manager. 
    Solution Manager XXX does not get service definitions from SAP.
    The production Solution Manager is the master in SDCCN for the test Solution Manager.  In the test Solution Manager, the scheduled task REFRESH SERVICE DEFINITIONS has task System ID of O01.  It is pointed to RFC destination SDCC_OSS, not the production Solution Manager system.
    It gives the same warning if I point the task to the production Solution Manager system.
    Has anyone seen this before?  Any ideas?

      i guess have you activated SDCCN from your solution manager system too?
    if not please activate. since that setup helps solman retrive the service definitions used in SDCCN from SAP (SAPOSS).so this ultimately allows you to set solution manager system as Master, so all the satellite system get the service definition from solman and do not need a direct SAPOSS connection.

    no, and i have spent my entire spring break with a dead iphone 4s, no access to my iphone mail accounts, can't get into my text service app, and can't get into notes. oh yeah, all of my music is gone. thanks a bunch for this wonderful upgrade.
    i am never upgrading again until i am sure all the bugs are out. this is a waste of my time and what's the use of having a cellphone if it only stays charged for two hours?
    one of the apple forums said that iox is "expanvie" and gave us tips on how to lengthen battery life. i was already doing all that stuff. so it seemed to me that apple was just taking the stand that  ios is just more "expansive." this is lipservice hogwash. if that is the case, then we need to get new phones with batteries strong enough to accommodate running these power apps and updates.
    my iphone makes a **** good coaster though. right now i am just ready to start sending smoke signals!

    You have to look at the email protocol being used.  the Apple email system uses IMAP, does Tinyworld use IMAP or POP?
    Does the email system permit delivery receipts to be requested?
    Just some of the things one needs to determine from the information provided by the email service provider.

    My location service on Google does not work. It will not bring up my location. Also nothing is getting saved in my history folder in my bookmark.

    I have the same issue, I think. If I open Safari and search Walmart (google is my default search) it doesn't give me location results, and there is a little button at the top that says 'Use Precise Location.' If I tap that button nothing happens. Very frustrating. I've checked all my settings against my wife's iPhone, and my iPad, both of which work, and I can't find anything different.

  • I have Sun Life Financial bookmarked and when I click onto it, as it is trying to get on the site, the https tool bar goes wonky.  Then the pinwheel comes on and I have to force quit.  This does not happen on our other apple computer only on my new one

    I have not used this app before so please excuse me if I am duplicating my question.  I am trying to get onto one of my books marks but when I click on it, it starts going all wonky in the https bar.  Then the pinwheel comes on.  When I force quit and then go back into Safari it comes up on that company website but a different section that is asking me to check the date on my computer and some other things that could be a problem.  This does not happen on our other mac only my new lap top.  This problems only started this weekend.  Any ideas?

    I attempted to remove cookies, but I can not identify any of the cookies on the list with the PrimeVest web site. No PrimeVest, no PVs, nothing that looks like it came from them.
    I have also reported the problem to PrimeVest and their tech did answer. He suggested erasing the browsing history (temporary internet files), which I did with no effect. He also had me check for the correct starting page address, which was OK. He stated that they are aware of a problem and it is on their list. No indication of how far down that list though. His only cure was to use IE for now, which I was already doing. Perhaps he can tell me which cookies to remove.

    OK, we've got it!
    What is happening is that when you use Microsoft's save as PDF in Word, the font isn't embedded even though the font is tagged to allow embedding. Furthermore, Microsoft doesn't properly put the font name into the PDF file such that Acrobat or Reader can readily find the font installed on your system such that the text can be properly displayed and/or printed. Acrobat and Reader attempt to display and/or print the text using a “substitution font” and of course, as they say, YMMV (“your mileage may vary”)!
    I personally submitted the report of this problem (both the embedding and the font name problem) to Microsoft. They acknowledge the bug, tried a fix and provided me a build with it, but it wasn't right. Maybe they will ultimately fix it, maybe they won't. We don't know yet. We do know that if it is fixed, it will be fixed only for Office 2013 (problem occurs with all Office applications since they use the same PDF generation code) and thus such a fix won't help you.
    Adobe Acrobat Standard and Acrobat Pro  both provide an Adobe PDFMaker plug-in to Office applications (including full support for Office 2010) that adds an Acrobat Toolbar as well as a Save as Adobe PDF menu item. The resultant PDF file fully supports embedding of OpenType CFF, TrueType, and Type 1 fonts and in many other ways produces much superior PDF with a full range of PDF generation options not available with the Microsoft PDF. (Note that beginning with Office 2013, Microsoft does not support Type 1 fonts in Office documents at all, even for existing documents!) The Acrobat Office functions are widely used and respected in the end user community and whatever “issues” there are (all software has “issues” of some type - it is a matter of how many and how severe), you should be in much better shape for PDF production that with what you currently are using.
    Good luck and let us know if this resolves your problems. (Note that you can download and install a free fully-functional 30 trial of Acrobat Pro to assure that it meets your needs! You can then buy a license and activate what you already have installed.)

    Plug your phone into the wall charger for at least 30 minutes...make sure you have a sim card in the phone...then:
    Leave the USB cable connected to your computer, but NOT your phone, iTunes running, press & hold the home button while connecting the USB cable to your dock connector, continue holding the home button until you see “Connect to iTunes” on the screen. You may now release the home button. iTunes should now display that it has detected your phone in recovery mode, if not quit and reopen iTunes. If you still don’t see the recovery message repeat these steps again. iTunes will give you the option to restore from a backup or set up as new.
    Make sure you have no anti-virus software running or any firewalls...turn all of that stuff off.
