Changing service location

I just moved and updated my service/billing address online... do I actually have to call and have them turn the service on at my new house, or is that sufficient?

Unless you had them suspend your service while you moved then everything should be ready to go.
If you have a specific VZW device you are concerned about then let us know.

  • HT5467 How to change the location service set up when the icon is not inactive?

I can not setting up the location services and change individual location service for each application since the icon are all in the dead icon and I cannot change anything. Is there anyway to make those icons in active?

Here is what I was referring to - when in Control Center, I have the database locations. (sources, targets, OWF etc). Under a database location I selected the connector/location name under Connectors. When I select Deploy Action to Drop the connector/location name will remain. However, if you were to check in the database or the Repository Browser (Locations Report) you will see that the db link is gone. At this point you can safely modify the Locations info in the Connection Explorer (in Design Center). On the other hand, if you want the location to be deleted all together then now you can delete it in the Connection Explorer panel. If you did the prior drop step then at this point all db link info should be gone from the database.

  • Dealing with changing service wsdl locations  in the ESB

    Hi,
I wonder how you can easily change the WSDL locations for the webservices in the SOAP services of your ESB project. I need this to be able to easily deploy an ESB project on the different OTAP environments.
I have looked for a solution myself, but till now I must conclude that you need to make a new SOAP service each time the WSDL location changes. Also, you need to make a new xslt mapping file in the routing service that is proxying the SOAP service, because the mapping file also contains/needs WSDL location information. I omit the option to manually edit the source files in my favourite text editior, because this is not want you want by default.
BPEL contains a wsdlRuntimeLocation parameter for its PartnerLink definitions, which you can use to change wsdl locations during environment change. I hope the ESB also has a comparable option to make environment changes easy...

  • HT4974 Changing file service location for Groups

Who has found the "separate interfaces" for File Service data mentioned in the referenced article?  I cannot figure out how to get Mountain Lion OS X Server to move away from the /Groups folder for Group Services.
    TIA,
    Tim

    Hi there
I have been looking at this also and am also very annoyed that Apple has chosen not to surface this functionality in the Server administration GUI for system administrators. It must be part of their drive to 'prettify' OS X Server — a terrrible mistake and the persons responsible should be sacked and some people with real (painful) sysadmin experience be put in responsibility. Strong words I know, but read on...
The minute someone decides to install OS X Server they go from being a 'user' to being, whether they like it or not, a 'sysadmin'. It is no trivial thing being a systems administrator, and sysadmins very quickly, with respect to touching systems, become familiar with this sentiment : "Be afraid, be very afraid..."
The functionality to change the location of the File Sharing  — Groups, Server Public (Shared Items) & Users — mount points exists in OS X Server. In fact it can (should be able to I believe — I have not tried it... yet) be changed with one command... if necessary preparations have been done.
To view all the server settings for file sharing issue this command in Terminal:
    sudo serveradmin settings sharing
we will then see the following for Groups (there is more listed for users etc. folders I haven't shown), I have blanked out some site specific information.
    sharing:sharePointList:_array_id:/Groups:dsAttrTypeStandard\:GeneratedUID = "xxx"
    sharing:sharePointList:_array_id:/Groups:smbName = "Groups"
    sharing:sharePointList:_array_id:/Groups:afpIsGuestAccessEnabled = no
    sharing:sharePointList:_array_id:/Groups:smbDirectoryMask = "0755"
    sharing:sharePointList:_array_id:/Groups:ftpIsShared = no
    sharing:sharePointList:_array_id:/Groups:afpName = "Groups"
    sharing:sharePointList:_array_id:/Groups:smbCreateMask = "0644"
    sharing:sharePointList:_array_id:/Groups:ftpIsGuestAccessEnabled = no
    sharing:sharePointList:_array_id:/Groups:nfsExportRecord = _empty_array
    sharing:sharePointList:_array_id:/Groups:path = "/Groups"
    sharing:sharePointList:_array_id:/Groups:smbIsGuestAccessEnabled = no
    sharing:sharePointList:_array_id:/Groups:name = "Groups"
    sharing:sharePointList:_array_id:/Groups:smbInheritPermissions = no
    sharing:sharePointList:_array_id:/Groups:ftpName = "Groups"
    sharing:sharePointList:_array_id:/Groups:smbIsShared = yes
    sharing:sharePointList:_array_id:/Groups:afpIsShared = yes
    sharing:sharePointList:_array_id:/Groups:isIndexingEnabled = yes
    sharing:sharePointList:_array_id:/Groups:dsAttrTypeNative\:sharepoint_group_id = "xxx"
    sharing:sharePointList:_array_id:/Groups:mountedOnPath = "/"
This is based on, in my installation, of having the Groups folder in the original default location of "/Groups". One of the lines shows clearly what needs to be changed to move (change mount point) '/Groups' to a new location...
The concern I have with the way you moved the Groups folder is it may not work cleanly long term because just symbolically linking the folder may not be sufficient.
Also using rsync with '-avvE' options copies the extended attributes (ACLs) but setting/copying the (traditional) Unix owner and group ownership & permissions (which are also used by OS X) are not done. If the command is executed as root then all the copied files & directories will change owner & group to root's. The following rsync switches should be used
    --owner
    --group
    --perms
preferably though the Unix 'cp' command should be used with the '-a' switch, something like this:
    cp -a /Groups /Volumes/VolumeName/SomeNewFolder
N.B. no trailing '/' is used.
Of course this is untested by myself as yet, and you should check and confirm yourself. I have a Parallels OS X virtual machine I will install OS X Server on to try this, I will not do on my production server.
You will note that I have not listed the the serveradmin settings command to change where OS X Server should look for the '/Groups' folder can you see what it should be? I can post what I believe it should be if you wish, let me know.
Of course all of the above relies on the fact that OS X Server will not get 'upset' with us changing a setting outside of a, non-existant in the first place, GUI surfaced settting function. Which again is why I would like to test this on a virtualised server. Of course you can give it a try, I would be obviously interested to hear how it goes — I would do a full backup first though. After making the serveradmin settings change I would reboot the server.

  • How to change Service Item using BAPI_ENTRYSHEET_CREATE.

    Hi All,
There's a requirement for me to upload/ Create Entry Sheet using BAPI_ENTRYSHEET_CREATE from the source file.
The Header was given to me but the Service Item, they would like the flexibility to change the existing lines that was adopted from ML81N.
    Eg of the file.
    Header given:-
    PO NO
    Po Item
    Short Text
    Ext Entry Sheet No
    Service Location
    Period Start
    Period End ....n so on
    Service Item given:-
    Service Line (Extrow)
    Service Order Qty (Memge)
    Ext Service No (EXTSRVNO)
The objective of this file is
    1) Create Service Entry Sheet (using Header)
    2) Adopt the Service Item
    3) Change Service Item (using Service Item)
Could anyone guide me how to do it? If Using BAPI_ENTRYSHEET_CREATE...is actually creating it with full details of the upload file. but given to me, t requrement is they would like to create n change the item.

  • How do I change the location of the coldfusion-out.log and coldfusion-error.log files in CF10

When I change the log location in ColdFusion Administrator it changes the location of most but not all the log files.  I have a requirement from my customer to place all log files on a separate partition on the server.  For ColdFusion 9 I was able to modify the registry settings to change StandardOut and StandardErr for the ColdFusion Jrun service.  This does not appear to the case for ColdFusion 10 which now uses Tomcat 7.
I tried modifying log4j.properties file and was able to relocate the hibernatesql.log, axis2.log, and esapiconfig.log but not the coldfusion-out.log.
I am running ColdFusion 10 Enterprise Edition on a 64-bit Windows 2008 Server.

The location of the rest of the ColdFusion logs can be changed in the ColdFusion Administrator.  Go to the Debugging and Logging section, Logging Settings.  There is a form at the top of the page where you can change the log storage location.

  • How to change the location value after it is registered

    hello,
I want to change the location (A) to a new schema. From what I am understanding, I need to unregister the old locatin(A) in repository browser, and then re-register it in control center, and change the schema name to my new target.
Now, I have unregisted A in the repository browser. When I come back to control center, and click the register, everything is grey out which means I cannot change the value (but i need to change the value for service name and schema), except the password value. and on the top, it says 'this location has not been registered. please complete the location parameters'.But I know on the old version, like owb 9.0.5, the grey out means this location is registered. So I am really comfused now. The location is unregisted, why cant I change the value of this location?
    any suggestion will be appreciated.

  • Gen ws from WSDL: how to fix service location in wsdl to match service?

    I'm using Workshop 9.2MP1.
I tried to create a web service from a WSDL. The WSDL has a service element that specifies a location URL. After generating the service and immediately publishing it, it complains there are compile errors, but it doesn't seem to say what the compile errors are. The only clue is a warning in the Problems view that looks somewhat like this:
"The context path <> specified on port <> of web service {http://...}... is being overriden with ..."
I imagine I have to massage the location URL in the WSDL to match what would the service would require. I'm not sure how to do that. I tried commenting out the "service" element in the WSDL and regenerating, but it says the WSDL is not valid anymore.

I may have resolved this problem, but I realize I still have another problem that may not be related. I tried changing the "location" attribute to just "/<myportname>", instead of a full http URL. I noticed that some examples in the BEA tree used that convention. After storing that, my "overriden" warning went away.
However, I now realize that there was another problem showing in the Error Log that I didn't look at much before. It says the following:
"build/jws/.src/com/... [in <myprojectname>] is not on its project's build path"
This is odd, as when I look at the Build Path section, and the "Libraries" tab, and expand "Web App Libraries", I see "<myprojectname>/build/jws/.src" right in the list.
    I don't get it.

  • Service locator

OK - this may take some time.....
We have an application split across multple projects. We use XDoclet as a start point to generate EJB/Web deployment descriptors.
We do not want to annotate the EJB java source with @ejb-ref and @ejb-local-ref's because of potential future changes. In other words if a utility class were changed to use an EJB, then all EJB's that use that utility class need to have an ejb-ref or ejb-local-ref added to their deployment descriptor, which if you are using XDoclet means updating the EJB java source.
So, we use XDoclet to generate most of the deployment descriptor content, and take responsibility for working out what ejb-ref or ejb-local-refs are required for each EJB as part of our packaging step in our build. We do this by using BCEL to build up a cross-reference of the inter-relationships between classes, and identify which classes have strings that begin java:comp/env/ejb/. Starting at the implementation class of an EJB, we exhaust all classes that are used by the EJB, accumulating all the lookup strings along the way. This may seem like overkill, but it works.
OK, we're getting closer to the question.
It has been suggested that we can remove this step of the build process by enhancing our service locator. Since all of our lookups are routed through this locator, the proposal is to put the actual lookup for the required EJB inside a new stateless session bean that is invoked from the service locator. The cache of EJBHomes is still in the service locator, and the new session bean will implement a local interface only.
This means that effectively all of our EJBs except the new session bean only have to have an ejb-local-ref for the new session bean, and the new session bean simply has all ejb-ref/ejb-local-ref's required by the application.
So my question is, is this an acceptable suggestion? We are talking about returning EJBHome objects from another EJB's context for use in the requesting EJB's context. Can anyone think of a problem with this? Apparently this has been mocked up and seems to work. I just have a nagging reservation about going ahead with this.
Our ref names are consistent across all of our EJB's, so java:comp/env/ejb/Fred always results in the same JNDI name regardless of which EJB is used, and this would not change in the future.
    We are targeting J2EE 1.4/J2SE1.4.2
    Got there in the end....
Many thanks for any views on this.

  • EJB 3.x business delegate & service locater

    Hi all
are business delegate & service locater patterns still relevant when considering EJB 3.x? Why or why not?
Does dependency inversion replaces service locater? was there dependency inversion in EJB 2.x??
    Thx a lot

    Hello,
Business Delegate is still relevant while using EJB 3.0
Business Delegate reduces coupling between presentation-tier clients and business services, that does not change with EJB 3.0.
However, Service Locator can be avoided by the Dependency injection provided by java EE5.
But, remember, Dependency injection works only for object managed by the container, so, Service locator can yet be useful in ejb 3.0.

  • Web Service Location

What is the best way to change the location of a web service?  We have a web service currently pointing to a development server and when we move it to the production server we have to change the URL that the web service uses to the production server as well.  How do I do this in the flex builder?
    Chris

    Hi,
Put your web Serive path in a xml file at the Flex end.Now pickup this path using the HttpService on the CreationComplete or Initialize
    of the Flex Application.
Later on you can change any time the webService path in the xml,it will not create problme whether you will be working Development
or Production Server.Because you can change the path any time in the xml.

  • Rescue & Recovery - changing backup location

I am using R&R 4.2 on a Thinkpad R61. I have three partitions setup on my hard disk - the C:, the service partition and a D: partition. I want to change the backup location to use the D: partition, but I can't find any option to do this. Is this possible and if so, how do I do it?
    Thank you.

I did manage to change the location that R&R uses, but I'm not sure how I did it! It seems that the first time you run R&R, you can change the backup location using the "Set schedule and preferences" The next time you run R&R that option doesn't appear, R&R just uses the same location. To get the option to appear again, you have to change something. I think I reinstalled R&R and deleted any R&R entries from the registry. Once the option appeared again I changed it to the D: partion. It was a long time ago, so to be honest I can't remember exactly what I did.
Do you have the same problem that you don't get the option to change the location or do you get the option, but it doesn't list all of your partitions? You could look in the registry to see if the partition is listed.
