Changing Service Providers and will lose email -- help!
Hello,
I'm switching service providers and cannot take my email address with me. 2 Questions:
1. If I stop synching with my current provider, will NO email show up in my email box for that account, or will it save the current emails.
2. How do I extract the email addresses/address book so that I can send a mass email to my contacts that i'm changing my email address?

Generally speaking, witnin 30 days this will be so.

Those should remain in AB, as all eMails should depending on account type... is this old one POP or IMAP?

I recently changed internet providers and thus had to set up a new email account. I managed to change my Apple ID but my I-phone 4S is not recognizing it. It still brings up the old user ID. I am also unable to retrieve Windows Mail (also wants old info) I synced my phone. What else can I do?

If you port out a day or two before your bill closing date, you owe nothing more to Verizon. If you port out say 3 days after your due date then you lose 27 days of service.
Plan accordingly.

Apple ID has my old email address. It will not allow me to change the address and will not accept my password or ID questions. I recently upgraded to OSX Yosemite 10.10.1. I also have an Apple ID that works with iTunes and would like to keep it as my primary.
To change the iCloud ID on your devices you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted (if using iOS 7), then sign back in with your current ID.
If you don't know the password for your old ID, or if it isn't accepted, you will have to temporarily recreate it in order to delete the existing account. To do this, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password. -

You cannot change to the US iTunes Store unless you move to the iTunes Store and get a US credit card or prepaid iTunes card. Are you indeed planning to move?

I used my husband's email for my apple ID. I just got him a new ipad but can't use the email to register. If I change my ID now, will that email be available for him on his ipad?

Thanks for the question. The short answer is Yes. Once you change your Apple ID primary email address, the previous email address will be freed up for use with another account:

I can't Archive as that takes space alos on the server.
What is the best way to do this and still access/read the old emails on my iMac, 10.8.4?You can just drag the emails to "On My Mac" which will save them locally. Or you can use a third-party archive utility. If you're using Mail, you might look into MailSteward which will archive all your mail, including attachments, into a database:

I have been blocked from using my Apps on my iphone 4S for two weeks. The error message I get is "Apple I'D Disabled". I've written three or four times to support for help and still locked out. How do I enable my account once again? I changed my password and that did not help . . .

I'm unfamiliear with the proper terms, but I need to change internet providers and don't want to use the new provider's address. I understand that I can use an Apple address for 3 addresses. Help!
Heard it in conversations. I'm tryinng to set up e-mail communications for my husband to his computer and 2 for myself (computer and phone) and also would like to use one that's set aside for e-mail ordering, etc. so if my address is sold I won't get so much junk on my regular e-mail.

Read the following in its entirty before doing anything.
Note that a "Restore" could take well over an hour! Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow the on-screen directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore (or it doesn't help), go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here. You WILL lose all of your data (game scores, etc,) but, for the most part, you can redownload apps and music without being charged again. Also, if you have IOS-7, read this. -
I have just updated my Ipad mini the latest version (so I am told) but it has stopped my I pad from working and it says that I have to restore it back to factory settings etc. and will lose my data as I dont know whether I have fully back up my photos which I dont wont to lose what do I do??????????????????
If it's in recovery mode, the data is already gone. Why did you never back up your important data?

i just plugged my iphone in to download some pix to my computer and my phone is now showing a plug with the itunes icon and its telling me I have to restore my phone and will lose all my data. *** is going on and how can I go back?

Correct. it does not magially appear in other places. It will only be where you put it.

Correct as well. Iphone will sync with one computer at a time. Syncing to another will erase the current content.
You need to copy everything ( itunes library/contacts/pics/calendars/files/docs) from the old computer, or your backup copy of the old one, to the new one. -

Changed apple id and need further icloud help
My question was not clear. I changed my apple id this weekend and the technician I spoke to told me that in 24 hours I could change my icloud to my new apple id. When I attempt to do that, I have to delete the existing apple id and the message tells me it will delete everything from my phone. Is that in fact going to happen? If so, can I recover my photos from icloud to my new apple id?
Thanks to anyone that can assist.You only need to save your photo stream photos to your camera roll. The rest of the data is only deleted from your device, not from iCloud. If you only changed your ID and didn't create an entirely new ID, your data will download back to your device when you sign back in.
If you created an entirely new ID, you'll need to migrate your data to the new account. To do this, start by saving any photo stream photos that you want to keep to your camera roll (unless already there) by opening your my photo stream album, tapping Select, tapping the photos, tap the share icon (box with upward facing arrow), then tapping Save to Camera Roll. If you are syncing notes with iCloud that you want to keep, you'll need to open each of your notes and email them to yourself so you can later copy and paste the text into new notes created in your new account. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password to turn off Find My iPhone and choose Keep on My iPhone when prompted. Then sign back in with a different Apple ID to create your new account and choose Merge to upload your data. -

ThanksThe only thing I did was I went to the Apple.com , logged in and changed my primary e-mail since I will be losing the old email soon ( I have a different job). I said update info and verified the email was correct. I just went to settings on icloud and logged out and tried to log in and now it won't take anything. I don't even know now which e-mail they want the primary one or recovery, it won't take any of the 3. Not sure what else to try at this point, I guess I can't buy any more music.
