Changing SID CRM

hi everyone,
We need a procedure to change SID of a CRM system. We want to known the steps to make it. We have a solaris system with an oracle database.
thanks in advance.
Fitto

Thanks a lot for the reply,
Eventually someone got what I mean?
Actually that's the place that I found my answer few days ago and I've done the same thing and endup with this problem.
So when I published my problem, everyone keep telling me use NID.
Now, do you think the problem is in the Listener.ora?
Because, as you can see in the first post, the error is talking about parsing problem.
Thanks again
Amir

  • Rate of exchange gets change at the time of currency change in CRM to ECC

    Dear Experts,
If we create the sales order manually in ECC and doing the
billing in ECC it’s not given any error in create and changes mode.
But in our scenario Sales Order created /changed in CRM and
    replicated in ECC for billing.
The issue is when we change the Sales Order in
CRM it is perfectly replicated in ECC with the same values as in CRM. But at
the time of billing in ECC @header àExchange rate accounting (VBRK_KURRF) instead of
taking the manually entered exchange rate system is updating the same
    maintained in currency table.
    Kindly suggest.
    Regards,
    Shachi

No,not a standard way as a work around.

  • How to Change SID at SAP level

    Hi Teachies
I had backup and restored the development system by brtools,
I want to change the SID at SAP level , i have to note to change SID at Databse level .
What are the changes we need to do at SAP level.
    ENV : Solaries, oracle 10g , ECC
    Thank You
    Haroon

A SID can´t be "changed", you will need to do a system copy according to
    http://service.sap.com/systemcopy
Basically - install the system with a different SID and import the database backup.
It´s not possible to change a SID after installation.

  • Post Processing after Changing SID

    Hi,
    After following the procedure in:
    Change SID
I am able to start msg_server but stuck with the follwing with Java still not starting up.
I wonder about Java instance ID, what happens with the instance ID if the above procedure is followed. I have carefully changed configurations, settings...and am able to logon on ABAP side...but Java being down I cannot release the system properly.
Please advise asto what is still missing in corelation with changing SID in such a way.

  • Modifiable Request Status after changing SID

    Hi All,
I need to change DEV Systemu2019 SID but there is some modifiable change requests (There are many records in TLock Table). DEV System is the Transport Controller.
Should all change requests be released before changing SID or System Copy process doesnu2019t related to this issue.
Is there any possibility for change request loss during this process?
Any Idea will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance,
    Sanaz.

    Thank you for the reply.
I have done a test scenario as follows:
    - SAP Fresh Installation
    - Restore DEV DB
    - System Copy
Now there is no record in TLOCK table.
Does it mean that I had to release all modifiable requests before this scenario?
Any idea regarding this issue will be greatly appreciated,
    Sanaz.

  • Changing SID Server 2012

    Hello,
In Server 2008, to be able to create new VM using same (copied) VHD, we had to use SYSREP to change SID or 3rd party tools, if we wanted to join it to the same domain, otherwise we got an instability on servers.
How can we change/update SID in server 2012? I can't find SYSPREP nor other tool.
Or maybe we don't need to change SID anymore?
    Thanks

I belive you don't need to, it's actually just a precaution...
Though, if you are using domains, you might need to opt the server out of the domain, and then join the domain again.
If you are also using it to connect to your own wsus server, you might need to run a registry script with this:
    @echo off
Echo Save the batch file "AU_Clean_SID.cmd". This batch file will do the following:
Echo 1. Stop the wuauserv service
Echo 2. Delete the AccountDomainSid registry key (if it exists)
Echo 3. Delete the PingID registry key (if it exists)
Echo 4. Delete the SusClientId registry key (if it exists)
    Pause
    @echo on
    net stop wuauserv
    REG DELETE "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WindowsUpdate" /v AccountDomainSid /f
    REG DELETE "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WindowsUpdate" /v PingID /f
    REG DELETE "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WindowsUpdate" /v SusClientId /f
    Pause
    net start wuauserv
Just save it as f.ex. Delkeys.reg
And then register it to get updates from wsus server again.

  • Changing SID Windows 7

    Hi All,
Can anyone help with this - sorry in advanvce as I am not sure where to post the question!
I need to change the SID on some Windows 7 PC's I was tols about a program called NEWSID but this doesn't work in Windows 7.
Is there any other utility that will do this with ease?
    Thanks in advance,
    Chris.

Take a look at the following address
    http://www.brajkovic.info/windows-server-2008/windows-server-2008-r2/how-to-change-sid-on-windows-7-and-windows-server-2008-r2-using-sysprep/
I also quote a sentence from a Mark Russinovich's post in his blog (http://blogs.technet.com/b/markrussinovich/archive/2009/11/03/3291024.aspx) that says
that "...Sysprep doesn’t support changing the SIDs of computers that have applications installed.": so, pay attention to what you do!
    Bye.

  • How  to change SID during sustem copy

How  do we change SID of the sandbox system on which we are going to copy production data, using homogeneous system copy pr.

It is explained in the homogeneous system copy guide. It is not difficult at all but you need to uninstall sandbox system first.

  • Possible To Change SID / Retain Data?

I have a Oracle 11.2.0.3 VM running with a 12.2 GB database size. Currently I would like to take a snapshot / clone of the Oracle database 11g and replicate it. Obviously I would change the Linux OS hostname / IP parameters to avoid conflicts on the LAN however I would like to know if its possible in Oracle 11g (and acceptable) to change the SID on the said cloned machine once the machine has been replicated?
Currently my SID on the above mentioned database is ATL and after I snapshot the virtual machine and get the OS parameters unique, I'd like to make the SID = ORL. Is this acceptable in the Oracle DBA community or is it highly frowned upon to make changes to a SID once there has been data added to the database?

Yes you can change SID for Database after clone .
you can do that by using dbverify or recreate controlfile

  • To set an error while saving the order when the item categor changed in CRM

    Hello SAP Gurus,
As per our current system set up, whenever the order created in CRM once replicated to ERP should not change the item category in CRM .If the item category is changed( allows the system) and saved, it gives an error as u201CItem category should not be changedu201D. We have been encountering  this type of issue since long back
To avoid this type of issue, an error should through while saving the order when the user changes the item category in CRM.
Can someone help me to achieve this.
    Thanks in advance.
    Cheers
    Sreedhar

    Sreedhar,
Can't you control it by Item Category determination?

  • Queue is getting struck for every delta change in CRM 5.0

    Hi Middleware gurus,
The queues are getting struck with status 'READY' for each of these following scenarios:
    1. Individual new sales order upload from CRM to R/3 (CRM - SMQ1)
    2. Individual sales order delta changes upload from CRM to R/3 (CRM - SMQ1)
    3. Individual new materials donloaded into CRM from R/3 (CRM - SMQ1)
    4. Material delta change download from R/3 to CRM (CRM - SMQ2)
    5. Knowledgebase delta changes download from R/3 to CRM (CRM - SMQ2)
I have to manually release the queue everytime, so that the changes can be uploaded. Am I missing something?
By the way individual new sales order created in R/3 and delta changes on R/3 orders are getting replicated into CRM without any problem.
    Thanks,
    Kishore

    Hi Kishore,
We had similar issue before. Do not use the replication scenarios X,Y or Z. You have use the scenario A which will solve your problem for sales order replication issues. Please refer to the note 705200. For rest of issues make sure in both the systems the queue scheduler is running. If not running actively then register the each queue in both the systems using SMQS and SMQR. If still the issue is not solved then let me know.
Award points, if the issue is solved
    Cheers,

  • BP Changes From CRM to R/3

    Hi everyone,
We performed an initial download from R/3 to CRM.
Delta changes are working fine. Changes in R/3 are coming to CRM.
Our problem: we don't want any changes to be transferred from CRM to R/3, which sometimes cause inconsistencies.
    How can I stop that?
We have the same situation in materials so please advise also for materials.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Nigne,
The solution in case of BP only:
Changes from R/3 to CRM will take place if you tick "Transfer to ERP".
Do not tick the same, and data will not flow from CRM to R/3.
    Also check your middleware settings.
    Regards,
    Anirban

  • Changing SID

    Hello everyone,
    I use Oracle 10g R2 on Fedora Core 4.
I was trying to change the SID of my test database.
    What I did was:
    1- Shutting down the Instance
2- changing ORACLE_SID Environment Variable (I also changed the oracle user's .bash_profile, cause I set all required variables in there)
3- changing the PFILE's name and content (I use SPFILE, but I've created a PFILE from the SPFILE and I've changed its name and content)
4- changing the content of tnsnames.ora and listener.ora
5- creating a new password file with a new name
    then:
    sqlplus "/ as sysdba"
    startup;
    and database started successfully.
but then, when I was trying to startup oracle's listener, I couldn't..
    Here is the error:

The error is talking about an error in parsing the listener file.
But the file looks alright. I thought maybe something else causing this problem.
Someone in another forum has mentioned that I had to use NID. But NID is just for changing DBID and DbNAME, not SID.
    Any Idea, Please?
    Thanks in advance
    Amir Gheibi

Thanks a lot for the reply,
Eventually someone got what I mean?
Actually that's the place that I found my answer few days ago and I've done the same thing and endup with this problem.
So when I published my problem, everyone keep telling me use NID.
Now, do you think the problem is in the Listener.ora?
Because, as you can see in the first post, the error is talking about parsing problem.
    Thanks again

  • Status Profile : Status not changing in CRM

    Hi Gurus
Created order with  header status as  as " In process" ,  item status is defaulted  to  " open"  and  order  replicatd to ECC ,  billed aswell .  But  when I checked in  CRM still status  not changing to completed  but retains with In process  at header level & open at item level.
I would expect order status should be completed at header level & Item level.
Is there any thing wrong with status profile settings at header  & Item level? , I have created  status profiles with following settings.
I have  copied standard status profile  " CRMORDER" and assigned to  trasaction type  and made following settings:
Under Open :   following transactional contorl selected
To be distributed   :  Selected options "Forbidden " & No active
    Under In process:
In process : Selected options " Allowed " & Set
Undo Rejection :  Selected options " No infulence " & Set
    Under Completed:
    Complete :  Selected options " Allow " & Set
Created status profile for Item  i.e. copied standard CRMORD_i  and made following changes:
Under Open : No transaction control selected
    Under In Process :
Edit :  Seleted options " No influence" & Set
Undo Rejection : Selected options " No Influence & Set
    Under Completed:
Completed :  Selected options " Allowed & Set"
Rejected :  Selected options " Allowed & Set"
Actually we are using material which is non deliverable but should be billed, while creating order , I can see staus at item level is open and remains open even after billed in ECC. And also we are mapping  Business activity reasons to order reasons in ECC.
Is any thing i am selecting wrong options in status profile at header level & item level?  Much appricieated for solution.
