Changing slide dimensions

I just switched over to mac from pc, so please bear with me I was wondering if in Keynote you can change the dimensions of the slide to be 8.5" x 11" instead of the default setting. I was able to do that in PPT by going to the page setup under file, but I can't seem to do that in Keynote. Thanks for your help.

Yes, open inspector and go to first icon- the page- at bottom of document tab is slide size. Set custom size to 768x1024 (or other equivalent ratio) and the slide show is now portrait mode I just did this to print out on 8.5x11 paper- you'll also need to set print to portrait if you actually want to print out (in the print dialogue box)

Changing text dimensions/proportions

I'm new to Live Type so forgive me if this is a daft question. I'm currently working my way through the excellent tutorials on the Live Type Central website and as yet, haven't found what I'm looking for.
Is there a way in Live Type to be able to select a whole text (word) and 'squash' or elongate the word – something similar to the Adobe Premiere Elements ‘Titles ‘ editing function where you can select the whole word and use the mouse to change the dimensions and proportions of the text. Also like an MS ‘word art’ function I guess.
Also while I am on, can anybody recommend the best place to get additional templates, Live fonts etc. I see that Live Type Central offer expansion packs but they seem a bit pricy if you opt for a few packs.

Regarding the single word. If you drag your mouse over all the letters to select it you can alter its size with the Scale slider in the Text tab of the Inspector.
You may be able to alter the aspect ratio of the letters with the x and y parameter sliders in the Attributes tab.
The x and y sliders are locked together so to use one independently click the lock icon to the right to unlock them.
You may also find that the letters move too closely so you can readjust that with the Tracking slider.

Is it possible to change the dimension order when extracting data from HFM?

When accessing Consolidation/Extract/Data is it possible to change the dimension order of the extract rather than extracting the standard order?
I can see you can change the dimension order visually by going to "Reorder dimensions" but this does not carry through to the actual extract.
If its not possible using this method is there another method? Trying to avoid using smartview for this purpose.

I suspect that the problem is in your router. Do NOT consider your router to be blameless if some other devices seem to work with it.
Try restarting your WiFi router by removing power for 30 seconds. Don't just turn it Off. On many routers that doesn't really do anything but put the router into standby mode. If that does not help check for a firmware update for your router. If none exists which corrects the problem consider replacing the router.
There is a chance that some services turned on in your router could be causing problems. Look for a setting called QoS (Quality of Service). If ON turn it OFF.
If you need more help please give the make, model, and version of your WiFi router and how you have it configured.

Changing ppi changes pixel dimensions but not document size?

I have an image that is W=4.375 H=6.124 at 355 ppi the pixel dimensions area under Img > Image Size indicates it is W=1553 px H=2174
When I change the resolution to 72 px it is only changing the pixel dimensions and not the document size. I'm confuesed.
1. What is the difference between pixel dimensions and document size?
2. Is the document the same physical size regardless if I make it 200 ppi, 150 ppi or 72?

Let me see if I understand all of this:
- If I change the resolution the print dimension will stay the same, though what is it actually doing to the image if I increase the resolution, though it still is the same print dimension? I am guessing you can not just add pixels to a given size image and expect it to print better.
- If I change the dimensions, the resolution will change because there will be either more pixels for a smaller area or fewer pixels for a larger area, depending on how I size it.

When you say chage the dimentions, do you mean crop the image and adjust the size of the image at the same time, or do you mean you want to just resize the image? Can you post a screen shot of what you're trying to do?

Create an mp4 from mov without changing the dimensions

I am working on a project in InDesign that needs to output to DPS.
I take screen capture movies which are saved in the default mov format. These movies are 700 px x 400 px. That can't change.
I need to convert the mov to an mp4 to add to ID for DPS.
I open Adobe Media Encoder but I am confused as to how to set the output controls.
I don't want to change the dimensions.
What setting will convert the mov to mp4 without changing the dimensions?

Ibooks changes the dimensions of cover image

I have been working on an epub using Calibre as the converter platform. I have used the program in the past and it always works until now. I am working on a new book and the cover image dimensions are changed in iBooks. The image looks correct when I view it in an image viewer.
I have revised the cover image several times to change the dimensions, change the file size, modify the pixel count. The current dimensions are 1500 by 2400 pixels which is a size I have used before. The file size is 226kB. Any suggestions on how to get the cover image to show up correctly?

You don't think it would be that hard to get ACR to better match the in-camera engine...
I understand if its not able to read the "special" in camera user settings, such as increase saturation, etc as that may be proprietary...
But it (ACR) already knows what type of camera you are using... It would be nice if Adobe would make it at least set to better match the out-of-box camera settings per camera... it would be a much better starting point than the flat, discolored images I see, IMHO.
Example... the reds in my Rebel XT RAW's always come up orange, both in LR and ACR.

Changing photo dimensions in iPhoto

Is there a way to change the dimensions of a photo in iPhoto to match video dimensions?
I need to make the photo wider - obviously with minimal distortion - to accomodate a smooth transtion from video to photo. I do not have the exact ratio to change to right now.

You can not stretch a photo. You can crop to any dimensions you want. HD TV is typically 16:9

I'm sorry, but I wanna change the dimension of the built-in flash player that we get from installing the FMS.. can i do that?
I need it to fit my web in the center, and on the left & right side there's bar for ads..
anyway, I embed my web with the videoPlayer.swf I got from this folder:
"C:\Program Files\Adobe\Flash Media Server 3.5\samples\videoPlayer\swfs"
then I checked the source folder and i realized that it's builed with Flex, and I'm not proficient in Flex.
After that I tried to decompile the .swf file using sothink swf decompiler and recompile it again, but it gives me error message in Adobe Flash CS3 Professional.
Any idea guys?
