Changing some text

Hi, please help
I'm new to DW . I have an DW application that i've inherited,
it requires some small text wording changes, The application
lauches from a database icon on a Lotus Notes Client. One problem
is I don't which version of DW was used to create the web site. Is
there any easy way to find out?
Also I'm downloading a trial version of DW V8, is this
backwardly compatible with previous versions? i.e. if I make the
required changes using with DW 8 will the web site will still
function?
And assuming DW8 is ok to make the modifications do I need to
create a new site or FTP the original site back to my local
workstation and make the changes. Any guidance would be
appreciated.

DW4/DMX is the demarcation line. DMX templates don't work in
DW4.

2) new a FileInputStream(file) and call read()
3) modify text
4) new a File newfile
5) new FileOutputStream(newfile) and call write()
6) delete file

Changing Some Text in TextField

Curious if you can change only some text in a TextField rather than all of it...
Like simple example:
The Ocean has alot of water...
And make Ocean blue?

Do you mean the text is there in one way and then changes via some actionscript, or you edit the text in a static textfield to have that one word a different color? For the latter, just do it.
To do it via actionscript you would need to use htmlText property of of a dynamic textfield to make the ocean a different color. If you wanted it to change via some actionscript from one color to another (just that word), you would have to rewrite the sentence, just add the html tags needed to color the text as desired.

Changing OTR texts

I need to change some texts in a standard Web Dynpro.
I think the easiest way is to change them in the OTR, but after changing them they continue to appear as before. What do I have to do for the changes to appear?
I've noticed that when editing the texts I have to provide a country and an "Industry", and the only option I get for Industry is /0CUST/.
After saving the changes, in the OTR list I still get the old text, but if I select it and press the Contexts button,
I get a list that looks like this:
Ctry          Indust.          C          Text
                    X          Original text
ES          /0CUST/                    New text
What do I do for the Web Dynpro to show the new text?

Unable to change group text name or add person to some group texts in iOS 8

I really like the ability to change group text names as it helps me separate work group texts from personal especially when I have coworkers that have separate business phones. I'm unable to change the name of some group texts as the option is not there when I go into details. I'm also unable to add contact to the same group texts that I'm unable to change the name on. Is this a glitch or am I missing something?

If you are having issues with renaming and adding users to group texts, you may want to try some things to troubleshoot.
First, quit all running applications and test again -
iOS: Force an app to close
Next, I would try restarting the iPhone -
Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset
If the issue is still present, you may want to restore the iPhone as a new device -
iOS: How to back up your data and set up your device as a new device

If the PDF that you converted already has searchable text, please try disabling OCR as described in this document: How to disable Optical Character Recognition (OCR) when converting PDF to Word or Excel. (If the PDF was created from a scanned document and doesn't already have searchable text, disabling OCR isn't a great option, as the text won't be searchable/editable in the converted Word doc.)

Make sure People Sending you via iMessage are sending their messages on your PHONE number not on your EMAIL addresses . My sister had the same problem, thats how i managed to solve it!

Changing Label text color based on some conditions

I have these labels and I would like to change the text color IF the text has some specific value (coming from an XML created by a program); for example the default text color is red, but if the text value is "Yes", the text color should be green.

Is there a way to change the texting rington on the Palm Treo Pro to something other than the few items they allow you to choose from.
I want to set Alarm4 as my text alert and it only gives me a few. Alarm4 is allowed in a few other notification options, but not on the text message one. Can I move a default alarm for one time to another item?

I have the 800w, but it's the same version of Windows Mobile, so I think the following might apply to your phone, too.
Alarm4 is a .wma-format file, while the old-style alerts are MIDI format file. I don't know why, but some of the notification drop-downs list both, and some list just MIDI files. But they all list some ring tones that I downloaded from Microsoft. Hmmm...
In File Explorer, my downloaded ring tones are in My Device\Application Data\Sounds. So if you were able to copy Alarm4 into that folder, you might be able to assign it to any notification.
I can't see any way to copy files in File Explorer. You might need to do it through ActiveSync or a third party file manager.
If you experiment with this, let us know how it goes.

How to change default texts in OSX dialogue windows?

I'd like to change some of the texts that appear in the OSX dialogue boxes.
One example: I have set my Mac up to ask for the password after N minutes of sleep. I would like to change the text in the box/window that appears when the Mac is woken up and where you are told to submit your ID and password (I'm sorry that I am not sure what exactly it says in English because I'm using another language).
The closest thing to what I need I have come across is this:
sudo defaults write /Library/Preferences/com.apple.loginwindow LoginwindowText 'Hands off'
However, this applies only to the first login window you see after you have started the computer. I'd like to change other default texts as well.
The default texts in different languages must be stored somewhere. How do I find them and how do I chage them? Any advice would be appreciated.

What are you doing that's different from the example?
When you say you just want to change the text of the main
menu without changing the submenus, do you mean you want to do so
dynamically, at some later stage after the page has loaded?
If so, you could try retrieving the main menu elements you
want to update from the DOM and updating them from your script's
event handler for whatever event it is that you want to update them
in response to. This presumes the widget will detect this and
update appropriately, which I can't say for sure since I haven't
actually tried it.

How to change the text in Logon Page in NWDS7.3/EP7.3

Hello Experts,
I am using NWDS7.3, & there is a requirement to change the text "User authentication failed " to some custom text. The message generally comes when you use wrong used id and password while logging portal url.
I have downloaded the WAR file and extracted the Jar file(tcsecumelogonui_core.jar) to change the text under logonLabels.properties file but i can't see the key with respect to the message "User authentication failed". I cannot find the message in the .properties file.
Can any one please help me to fix the issue.Any help will be rewared with points.

Thanks a lot for your valuable answer. I have found the text for the "User Authentication Failed" , done the changes and depoyed the Jar file . This is working.
But the same when i try to do for "Authentication failed. Password locked" this message comes when i do multiple failed login. I need to change the text , i found the text in the u2022sap.comtcjesecurityimpl.jar file, i made the changes in the JAR file ,replaced with the server jar file and restared.
But the changes did'nt get reflected. Can you please suggest if i am chaning in the correct JAR file?. I am working in NWDS7.3
