Changing Song formats
So I just got a new cell phone. And I am trying to put the songs from my itunes onto the memory card that I can put into my phone. However, it won't let me put some of my songs onto the memory card, something about the format. So how can I change the format so that I can put these songs onto my memory card? I know this isn't a question directly relating to Itunes and Apple but I thought maybe someone would know.

It depends on what format you want it to be in. iTunes has a built in convertor. If you right click on the track you want to convert you can click "Convert Selection to (format)". I think by default it is AAC. But if you want different formats click
Edit -> Preferences
Then click on the advanced tab, below that there should be an "importing" tab. And one of the options is "import using:" you can change that to one of the preferred formats.
I think most cell phones support MP3, but I'm not sure. I've never put songs on my cell phone.

How do you change the format from Windows to Mac
Does anyone know how to change the format from Windows to Mac? When I first bought my iPod I had windows but now would like to change this. Also is anyone aware why some tracks pause for 2 seconds and then carries on.
Restore the iPod in iTunes for Mac. Restoring will erase and reformat the iPod's hard drive, reload the software with the Mac version and put it back to default settings. Once the restore is complete follow the on screen instructions to name the iPod and automatically sync your songs and videos onto the fresh installation. Press Done and the iPod will appear in iTunes and start to sync. If you want to sync using selected playlists uncheck the box beside the sync automatically instruction and press Done, it will default to manual mode and you can choose whatever setting you like: Restoring iPod to factory settings with iTunes

I made a new playlist on ituns and changed the format to MPS, but I still cannot get it moved to my SD in that format...help?
Ok, so you said you've already right clicked on each song and "created a MP3 version?"
If so sort the library's music by "Date Added (if it is not there right click on the other sort bars and add the column "Date Added". The mp4 versions are the ones in the playlist. You will have to find the newly added mp3s by sorting by Date Added. Hope this helps! -

I have 3,276 songs on my 30 gig pod. I've used half the space. My friend says I sholdn't have used that much space for that many songs. He said I should check the format of the songs that are being downloaded. How can I check for that, and then maybe change the format to allow me to use less when addding new songs? Thanks
Go to iTunes and right click on one of your songs, choose Get Info>Summary and look at "Kind" to see what format you are using. Alternatively, right click at the top of any column in the iTunes library and choose Kind from the menu: iTunes: About import settings and hard disk space
The figures quoted by Apple assumes that the songs are exactly 4 minutes in length in AAC format encoded at 128Kbps; if your songs are longer, encoded at a higher bitrate, or encoded in a format such as AIFF or Apple Lossless, fewer of them will fit on an iPod. -
Using Adobe Photoshop CS2 version 9 and have updated it, but when stacking photos, it comes up with PSD, whereas I want Jpeg, and I change the format to Jpeg and the box then comes up with cannot save as there is a program error. Be very grateful for help with this, please.

Will u plz tell me how can i change the date format at reporting level?
I want to display date in dd/mm/yyyy, but by default its showing mm/dd/yyyy.
Delta is already loaded in the system, so i don't want to disturb regular data loading.

I need to store a date into a flexfield. We have enabled the Flexfield and there is NO value set attached to it.
This attribute is already in the VO as a varchar, so we have just added a new column into the page as data type Date and link it to the flexfield column.
In this page we have a table layout so the user can enter 10 rows before saving them. And this page it just used to punch data into a table, which means, once the user press apply the page saves and clears. The user can not query on that page.
When entering the first row, we can open the Date picker and we can choose the date and then it populates the column as “DD-MON-YYYY”.
The problem is:
When we entering the second row after entering one column the pages changes the format of my date from the previous record to “YYYY-MM-DD”, then after entering any second column the pages clear the date from the previous row.
Running the page from JDev it shows the following message before clears the flexfield:
java.text.ParseException: 2011-01-28
Note we have not extended the VO and not extended the controller.
My questions are:
1) Why the Self-Service is change the date format to YYYY-MM-DD even if the profile ICX: Date Format Mask (31-DEC-1999) and my preference is set to DD-MON-YYYY?
2) How can I avoid this to happen? Is there any way to keep my date as DD-MON-YYYY?

I cannot change song order on playlists (old or new) with highlight and drag. I have turned off shuffle and highlighted the far left column (up/down arrow) of playlist. My mac pro is running 10.5.8 and am using itunes 10.4. I can't drag and drop "music" to "playlist" but can right click and get the option to "add to playlist." No such option for moving song within playlist, only the up and down arrow which moves song from top to bottom list, so if it is #4 from top it will move to #4 from bottom. Stupid I know. I spent over an hour with Apple support, reinstalled itunes, restarted and rebooted computer. Networked with my laptop which is running 10.6.8 and itunes 10.4 and it can drag and drop. The final Apple support solution was to reinstall my operating system. I would prefer not to. Any other ideas?
After looking at other people's posts, I think it's official: there is a bug. Itunes support said I should not have lost the drag/drop tool and I haven't on the laptop that is running itunes 10.4 and operating system 10.6.8. I chatted with someboby who lost both his drag/drop and side scroll and what we have in common is a wacom tablet for a mouse. My laptop is a wireless mouse. I reinstalled whatever updated driver that wacom has out there, shut the system down for night, hoping for magic, but alas none to be had. So if I want to change song order, I network the laptop and desktop, share the screen on the laptop, drag and drop to my heart's content and curse Apple for making me work this hard to find the tool that was once at my fingertips. Apple also let me know that if I want to share songs in household that the hundreds on songs that were purchased for .99 need to be repurchased for another .30. Maybe Apple is holding my drag/drop tool captive til I pay up the money or Maybe the next update will fix the problem, I for one give up for now.

How to change the format of a cell in a web report
Hello experts,
Is it possible to implement this in a Web Report/BEx query?
We have a list of products grouped into Company A and Company B. One key figure is for example Net Cost Price.
We need to highlight the lowest net cost price in every company but with a different colour depending on the company assuming prices are sorted in ascending order.
We have been recommended to use Web Design Api for Tables but we understand that in order to format a cell content we need to know the axis position of the cell but we don't know how many rows the query will display for every company. Is this kind of requirements only possible with "static" reports where we know exactly the number of rows and columns that are going to be displayed?
This is an example.
COMPANY PRODUCTS NET COST PRICE
Company A Product 1 <b>5</b>
Product 2 10
Company B Product 1 <b>10</b>
Product 2 20

If you have already not solved your problem , you can try the following solution with table interface class.
Table interface class generates HTML table row by row so it first process the charecterstics and then KFs .
You define a attribute(type public) in class and set that attribute to X (In CHARECTERSTIC menthod)when ever the company code changes.
Then make use of that flag in DATA method to change the format of cell (Assuming you sorted by Ascending).

I need to change the date format for a whole column. At present i can do MM-DD-YYYY. I need to change this this to DD-MMM-YYYY.
I know about the to_date function, i tried to apply it to change the format of my whole column by doing the following.....

I'm not sure you hit the right forum, as this doesn't seem to be a problem with APEX.
Anyway:
You can't use that function on a table like that, and as you already suggested, the to_date-function expects a string value.
It seems you also have a misunderstanding of the basic datatypes in the database. DATE is such a datatype and is stored an internal format you don't need to care about. Each time your request the value, the database will give you a string representation according to either your locale or you give a certain formatting mask.
The same applies to insert or update operations: you hand in either a variable of type DATE or use a function like to_date to create an "object" of type date.
