Changing Start time of Set Analysis

Post Author: izhar
CA Forum: Performance Management and Dashboards
Hi all group members working on BOXI R2, I have to ask that, How to change the "Period Start" time for sets while creating it. The data i have in repository on previous years whereas while creating "set's application is picking up current date as a "Period Start" date.
Can anyone tell, how to change it so that i can view the data under the "Membership" tab of Set AnalysisRegards Izhar

Add it "Scaled" to a Selection (Edit menu).
Open the .png file, select all and Copy.
Switch to the video, create a selection (i and o keys set in/out points). You can move one frame at a time by using the arrow keys.

  • How to dynamically  change start time in calendar

    Hi !
Is it possible dynamically change start time attribute in calendar. Let's say I'd like to have start time = sysdate through 24 for display

    Hello Johann,
If you created the calendar region using the wizard, it should have created a page item 'P#_CALENDAR_DATE' (# being your page number). Look at the Default setting for that item and it will likely be:
return to_char(localtimestamp,'YYYYMMDD');This is the default date for the calendar (current date), in 'YYYYMMDD' format. Any code that sets this item to a date in 'YYYYMMDD' format should tell the calendar to display the calendar for that date. For example, I just changed it to this:
return '20080101';And it displayed the calendar for that January, 2008. To test further I created a submit button and a branch, and in that branch I specified to set my P1_CALENDAR_DATE item to 20080601 and when I clicked the button it redisplayed the calendar for June, 2008.
    Hope this helps,
    John

  • Movie Audio After Changing Start Time

I've searched the forum and I can't find any info about this.
If I change the "Bar Position plays at SMPTE" setting in Song Settings-Synchronization, I can make bar one start at the appropriate place in the movie.... but the audio track I exported to the arrange window is now out of sync. Other than dragging that long track around for every cue, is there an easy way to have the audio re-sync?
I tried re-exporting the audio, but it didn't work. It will slide the audio back to measure -8 but no further, so I have to trim the front-end of the region then slide the region back until it is eventually in sync with the movie.
Any info on some shortcuts to this process?
    Thanks,
    Richard

You are doing everything right. Unfortunately, Logic isn't "smart" enough to extract audio from the QT movie based on where your movie start time is set.
And you really, really don't want to be working in the negative bar areas of Logic. This is a sure way to develop a corrupt song.
The best way to get audio in sync is as follows:
Disable the "hide windows of inactive songs" pref.
Create a new song and load up the movie.
Set the correct frame rate for the song file.
Ensure you're at the proper sample rate (usually 48).
Turn off contiguous sync (accessible in the movie window -- click/hold).
If your movie starts with a timecode burn on the very first frame of the movie file (not first picture, but the very top of the file, even if the file starts with academy leader), set the movie start time and SMPTE start time to agree with that very first frame of the movie).
If your movie starts in the black with no timecode burn, adjust your movie start and SMPTE start to a point where Logic's timecode display is in agreement with the picture's timecode, but ensure that when you're at bar 1 1 1 1 that you're seeing the very very very very first frame in that movie file.
Next, extract the audio to the arrange window. SMPTE-lock the region (a safety precaution) and save this song. It will become your master audio reference.
Now, if you're working on a cue where your movie start time needs to be set to a point other than the very start of the film you're going to get the audio from this reference file each time. And to do so with absolute precision requires the following steps:
    1. Determine the first frame of picture that you will be working to in your cue. Make absolutely sure that you've adjusted your movie start time in this file so that bar 1 1 1 1 starts on the leading frame of the picture. Not in the middle of the frame, not at the end, but the very start (this is done by adjusting the bits value until your 'target frame' changes to the previous frame. Then you move the bits value in the other direction until your target frame appears. Rock the bits value back and forth a bit to ensure, within no more than +/- 2 bits that you're setting movie start to = the leading edge of the frame).
    2. Write down that timecode number (or copy it to the buffer). DO NOT MOVE THE SPL or do anything else at this point other than...
    3. Open your audio reference file. Your cue file will go to the background.
Scroll to that location in that song (or copy the timecode location into Logic's locator from the value you copied into the buffer and hit RETURN). Rock the bits value IN THE LOCATOR (not movie start) to ensure that you're at the leading edge of that frame. Click on (select) the extracted audio region and SMPTE-unlock it if you've locked it previously. Use the SPLIT REGIONS by SONG POSITION command to cut the file.
    4. Select the part of the file to the right of the cut and CMD-C copy. Close your audio reference (save it if you want, cuz if you mess up you won't have to do the whole thing over again).
    5. With that song closed you will now be seeing your actual cue song file. Select a new audio track and CMD-V paste.

  • Process Chain changing start time?

hi guysm i have 76 process chains that run every day in BWD system, so i removed all the timings from the start variant and in the infopackages, but it seems some process chains are still running, i did do the following steps on chnaging the time from a particular time to immediate, Save, Check and activate, i didnt schedule it as i dont want it to load right away .
do i have to hit check , save , schedule once i change the time from a particular time to immediate load or activate will work as well.?
what else could be the cause of process chains still loading even there are no events, or time given to any process chains at all.
i went to sm 37 and i can see the bi process are all running at the time they were orignially set up on.
    so any suggestions would help,
is there any way from sm 37 i can tell which process chain is triggered off?
    thanks
    Dante(devils never cry)

Dante, the start conditions on the infopackages do not affect when they run in process chains.  The process chains have their own start job.  If you want to change the start time of a process chain, then you need to go to maintain the process chain, right-click on the Start process and select Displaying Scheduled Job(s)... .  Here you will see a job called BI_PROCESS_TRIGGER.  Change the start conditions of this job.
The start job for all process chains is BI_PROCESS_TRIGGER, so using SM37 may be difficult to identify which BI_PROCESS_TRIGGER job is associated to a particular chain.
Also, to let you know, each process in a process chain has an associated job.  All jobs called BI_PROCESS_xxxxx are jobs associated with a process chain.
    Eg.
    BI_PROCESS_LOADING is an infopackage.
    BI_PROCESS_TRIGGER is the start job
    Does this help?

  • What's up with this awful new calendar?  Cannot change start time!

Ever since "upgrading" to Mavericks 10.9 I cannot change the start time on an event.  It's not clickable.  Only the end time is.  If I click the start time nothing happens.  If I click the end time I can adjust it easily.  What's up with this?

If you give no time it will set to the default start time.
Delete the entry and include your preferred start time.
One short cut is the + in the upper left; include the date and time and event here.

  • Change start time on finished DVD

    Hi,
I have a burned DVD on which I would like to change the start time by a few seconds. Going back to the original mpeg-2 files is not an option.
Is there a way to avoid demuxing the VOB file, editing to the GOP, and then remuxing / recompressing it?
    Thank you,
    Marco

    Marco:
You can add a marker to your track in your new IN point and set the jumps to that marker in place of the real starting point.
But you cannot place a marker exactly where you want, just in a GOP frame:
Placing Chapter Markers Exactly Where You Want Them
Adding markers in Final Cut Pro, Final Cut Express, iMovie, or Compressor offers the potentially large advantage of allowing you to position them on the exact frame where you want them to appear.
When adding markers to a track in DVD Studio Pro, you can only place them at GOP boundaries. This means that you will often not be able to place them exactly where you want them. When you place the markers with a video editor, the embedded MPEG encoder automatically forces an I-frame at that position, placing a GOP boundary exactly at every marker and providing perfect marker placement. Markers placed in Compressor before using it to encode the video are also perfectly placed.

    Hope it helps !

  • Change default scheduled defrag start times on Server 2012

I think it's great that by default Server 2012 is going to defrag all my drives on a weekly basis.  But how can I access the scheduling portion?  Is it possible to change start times, or give a window that it can start in?  I have some drives
where the data on them is only not used during certain hours, so it would make the most sense to have it start the defrag during that window.

  • Event start time sets automatically to 19:00 and can't be changed

New Events are automatically given a start time of 19:00 and cannot be changed. In addition, all my previously entered events, both single and recurring, have had their start times set to 19:00. My iMac had been unused for almost three months and upon returning to the machine, an update was available for Max OS, which I allowed to be installed. I'm now running 10.6.2, but I don't know if that has anything to do with this problem. Something changed, and that's the only change I know of. Thank you.

    Bob,
One of the first things to try is "refresh" the com.apple.iCal.plist file. You will find the com.apple.iCal.plist file in your Macintosh HD/Users/yourusername/Library/Preferences Folder. Quit iCal, drag the .plist file to your Desktop, log out/in or restart and check iCal for normal behavior.
Also open System Preferences...>Language & Text>Formats>Region and set/reset the appropriate region. Then set/reset "Customize..." in "Times."
    ;~)

  • Need a script to change the start time of meetings set by someone else...

    Hello,
I have a series of events that someone else created and the start time is off by 1 hour in my timezone. Is there a script available to run and change these times or do I have to delete them and manually create them myself?

What I ended up doing John is just simply deleting the original events from iCal then I went in to Outlook and manually changed the start/stop times of each event then went into the IMAP Calendar folder, clicked on that event and added it to my iCal. Thats sort of the process I use for getting my events to from Exchange to iCal anyway (can't wait for Snow Leopard) but that did the trick for me for these few items that were off. Fortunately I don't expect any changes from the author.
    Thanks for responding!

  • CO01 - system changes sch.start time given by the user (fwd sched., no cap. check, no shifts defined)

    Dear Experts,
I am facing a very strange issue. Whenever I am trying to manually create and schedule a discrete production order  in ECC 6.0, with 1-forward scheduling (in CO01 transaction), by giving scheduled start date and time and pressing the "Schedule" button; the system changes the start time given by me (the date remains) and executes the scheduling with that start time.
For example, when I want to produce 12072 PCs, and I give 08:00 as shceduled start time, the system changes it to 15:59, adds the operation times correctly and defines the 'correct' scheduled end date (again, with fwd scheduling type!).
There is some logic on how the system changes the scheduled start time given by me. Below a certain production quantity, the issue doesn't come up, lead time scheduling is carried out, as it is expected. So the problem only occurs, when the order qty exceeds a certain limitation. In that case the order cannot be scheduled to a certain time phrame (between 07:59 and 15:59), so the system changes the scheduled start time given by me (whenever the order falls into the mentioned period). Depending on the order qty the mentioned period (to which the order cannot be scheduled) is changing.
I made the following checks in the system:
production calendar is set correctly, it is not blocking the production
all the applied work centers are available from 00-24 hrs
no shifts has been defined on any of the WCs, production is enabled in 00-24 hrs
there is no other production scheduled on any of the work centers, capacity load is 0% on all of them, as it has been checked in CM03
order scheduling was performed with '1-forward' scheduling type
anyway, capacity check is switched off in the system
formulas on the work centers are all correct, the processing time calculated based on them is also correct (No queue, wait, setup, etc. times are set in the system, we are only using processing times.)
    no error messages
As far as I know, in the above case lead time scheduling must be carried out, the system is simply 'not allowed' to change the start date given by me, just add operation times to the start and define the scheduled end date.
    Thank you in advance,
    T

    Jiaul,
    please find the screenshots.
1.Mark for Relevant finite scheduling in scheduling or capacity tab - yes
2.Can be used for multiple operation - yes
3.Capacity Planner Group set up - yes
    Caetano,
in my case the order scheduled start date is exactly the same as the operation start date. The problem is that this date cannot be manually scheduled to a certain time interval, the system changes the scheduled start date specified by me. (Like there was a "blocked period".)
    Thank you,
    T

  • Set up Start Time

    Hi,
I am trying to set up the start time at 0:00. I have changed the value in every possible place, restart the program and create new document.
Does anyone know the way to do it?
    Thanks.
    W.

If you're talking about the first pause before track 1 - you can't. Red book CD standard requires that 2 seconds. After that, you can have as many or as few pauses as you like,.

  • Can't change timecode start time

    Hi,
I'm trying to change the timecode generator start time from 00:00:00:00 to 01:00:00:00. but the field can't be entered in the inspector.
    Please help.

I also need to change the start timecode. (Compressor 3.0.2)
I assume you are talking about the actual timecode and not the timecode filter that burns it visibly into the video.
A similar function is available in DVDSP if you let it do the encoding for a DVD, but not Compressor.
For those who may ask why it is needed, my closed captioning starts at 00:00:00:00, but my video timecode is at 00:59:59:00 for some reason. The captioning needs the numbers to match. DVDSP will adjust starting timecode for you, so I can make them match up, but I'm trying to make a m4v for podcasting in Compressor. ITunes and Quicktime now support Closed Captioning, but it has to be encoded in Compressor.
If anyone finds a simple solution in Compressor, please post. I may have missed the setting somewhere.

  • TA38641 Changing the calendars event default start time

Is there a way to set a default start time for new events in calendar? For some odd reason my event start time always is 3am,and I'd like to change it to 8am ...

Unfortunately not. The start default start time is usually the next hour, when entering an event.

  • Setting the starting time for multiple podcasts

How do I set starting time for a group of podcasts at the 30 second mark. Mostly the beginning are all repetitious which I heard before.
I know, I can do that individually by going to info and set the slider. But how can I do this collectively?

I don't think you can do it on multiple files at once. Probably the easiest thing to do is to select the first one and change the setting. Before you close out of that window, copy your start time from the field and then click next at the bottom of the window and paste into that one and so on until you're done. It's not pretty, but the quickest way I know of to do it. Otherwise, you might Google Doug's Scripts and see if that site has a script that might do this.
