Changing target directory of sound effects, DVD templates etc.

My Adobe Premiere 13 works fine but I want to change the target directory of sound effects, DVD templates etc. Default setting is C:\ .... In Adobe Organizer such option is not offered. How can I change this target directory?

and in the Online Folder are the DVD Templates and Sound Effects Folders.
I have found that once deleted the Online Folder will regenerate in the same place from which it was deleted.
So, try it if you must, but I would discourage you from doing so.
Please explain what the Elements Organizer has to do with all this. Are you trying to get Sound Effects and Movie Menus into the
Elements Organizer Create Slideshow feature? Cannot do.
Please give more details and I will think about this some more. My first impression that you are targeting cannot do goals.

I have a XI3.0 running and I'm using the file adapter of SAP Basis 7.00. I'm trying to change the target directory at runtime, as I already did with the file name. The file name could be changed using the DynamicConfiguration, but this does not work for the directory. In help.sap I found the hint to use the variable substitution of the communication channel. I did not get it running, but it also does not solve my problem since I don't want to get the value for the target directory from the message header, but from a SAP IS-U system.
Can anybody help me to solve this problem?

while using variable substitution, did u set the indicator for create Directory:
<i>If the adapter is to create the target directory, if it doesn't already exist then set the indicator Create Target Directory.
If the indicator is not set and the target directory doesn't already exist the adapter returns an error.</i>

Navigating Mac "Bios"/ Change Target directory to boot from

i have tried going into the "bios" (for macs i am not to sure what it is called form macs) and attempted to change the Target Directory but i am unable to navigate around it how do i? is it because i use a standads USB keyoard and mouse rather than a mac one?

It's done from the system preferences/Startup Disk pane.
If you want to change it at boot, just hold down the option key and choose your boot disk.
You don't set this in "BIOS" (EFI).

What does the "Music and Sound Effects", "Photos", "Titles", etc. buttons turn grey and make unelectable?

I'm on into my first steps in iMovie 11 and I try to apply the things from the "Getting started" video tutorials. However when I come to the "import photos from iPhoto" I find all my buttons grey and unelectable. I checked preferences but I didn't find any parameter which relates to that topic.
I'm sure someone knows and I'd appreciate help on this.

Bug: Publish Settings Target Directory resets on open

Using Edge Animate (EA) CC version 2.0.1.268.25632
Windows 8
Reproduction:
Create new file. Save in project folder.
Open Publish Settings and change Target Directory (in my case to a few directories above).
Publish and save file.
Close EA and reopen.
Open file from Welcome screen and check publish settings target directory.
For me it is always reset to .\publish\directory
Is this expected behaviour. If not, is there a way to fix it?

Joe, I can confirm this issue, as well (Win 8.1 / 64bit).
Patrick, I guess for the interim, a workaround is to keep the default settings - publishing to a sub-folder under the project parent folder.

Sound effects at the touch of a button (key)?

Can anyone tell me how, using GarageBand or some other app, you can queue up sound effects, audio clips, etc. for instant replay? I hear this often done in podcasts or even live steams, but can't figure out any way to do it with the Mac. Yes, easy enough to generate GarageBand audio tracks and select them one-by-one for playback, but I'm looking for something with faster access. Ideally I could assign a key to each clip with an onscreen guide showing the assignments. For example, push '1' and you get the sound of a dog barking, push '2' to play back a voice recording, etc.

Great! That's exactly what I was looking for. I need help with one more item... I chose 'Sound Effect', Natural Sounds, etc., How do I get a list of those sounds so I can drag then to the keyboard? By accident, I somehow managed to do that. In the window below the timeline was a list of all the sounds available for that category, with small icons to the left of each. Okay everybody...so I'm on the struggle bus so I'm going from Photoshop cs6 off my old broken laptop to trying to dwn Photoshop Cs2...either way I love PS. Now when I tried downloading it for free from Adobe...succeeded...but when I went to the download folder to install it, it said "Do you want to allow the following program from an unknown publisher to make changes to this computer?" I mean....what would you do? Is it safe to click yes....(Don Don Don...*sound effect*)..please help...

If you already have a license for photoshop cs6, why do you want photoshop cs2?
You can just install photoshop cs6 on your new computer provided both operating systems are the same kind (both mac or both windows)
If you don't have an install dvd for cs6, you can download photoshop cs6 from here and use your serial:

Changing File Adapter target directory - container bounce required?

I edited USPSshipment.wsdl in the FulfillmentESB project to reflect my desired target directory (/home/oracle/usps_ship instead of C:\temp) and then re-registered the project with ESB.
The registration completed normally, and I verified that the edited USPSshipment.wsdl file exists in the deploy and content directories in the ESB home. Also, checking the WSDL file from the ESB console showed the new value.
However, until I bounced the OC4J_soa container, order submissions continued to use the C:\Temp target. After I bounced the container, the next order submission went to the desired /home/oracle/usps_ship.
What is the expected cacheing behavior here? Is there a programmatic way to clear the cache after an ESB deploy. It is too restrictive if I have to bounce the whole container serving ESB and BPEL (perhaps many processes and ESB adapters) just to make a change in one particular project.

However, the next submitted orders continue to be written to the previous target physical directory. Checking the value of the re-deployed USPSShipment.wsdl at the ESB host filesystem and through the ESB console shows the updated value, but the old copy is being actually used to process the message.
Restarting the OC4J container, causes the updated USPSShipment.wsdl to be referenced for messages submitted thereafter.

Some progess I see. To be honest, i would not waste your time with trying to connect using wireless.
You are likely to get poor connections and dropping out.
If its working using a cable, then there is no need to bother with giving me the network settings, bu see how it goes, because sometimes giving the TV a static IP address can give better results.
There is an example of a couple of powerline adapters on the diagram below. Just ignore the network switch unless you want to connect other devices which are near to the TV.

Volume change sound effect won't stop

So I changed my preferences and unticked the "Play feedback when volume is changed" option. Basically all is good for a while then a week or two later I'll realise the sound effect is back when I change the volume. But the option remains unticked in preferences.
Anyone else having this problem?

Simple, the device even if off can pick up signal noise from any other device or items. Stereo speakers have in the past gave off a whirl sound from radio stations, police and cb radios, high frequency pick up is not unheard of. There are cases where radio receivers have picked up cross talk while off.
With computers broadcasting on the 2.4 and 5.0 frequency many times microvave ovens, other electrical items can cause the sound the original poster complains about. (Chirping) Cell phones are just radio transmitting and receiving devices.
You don't need a 500 foot antenna to pick up sounds. Even if the phone is off it has an internal antenna.
interference is quite possible, and frankly there are not many people posting about radio chirping to believe its nothing but interference .

Loss of sound effect when changing volume.

I have just purchased a Macbook Pro and everything was going well until I noticed that when I changed the volume using the F11 and F12 keys, the sound effect would no longer be produced. I have been through Sounds in System Preferences and checked all the settings are correct, even the 'play feedback when volume is changed' option is checked. All I have been doing so far is using iTunes and using the internet. I also loaded djay but I don't think this would have anything to do with it. Please help.

iCloud only keeps photo stream photos for 30 days, even though up to 1000 photos will remain on your devices until deleted. When you re-enabled photo stream you only received photo stream photos from the last 30 days as older photos are no longer in iCloud.
To change your iCloud ID, go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, then sign back in with the new ID. This deletes the account and your iCloud data from your device, but not from iCloud. Provided you are signing back into the same account, your iCloud data will reappear on your device when you sign back in.
However, to avoid losing photo stream photos, before deleting the account save them to your camera roll (if not already there). To do this, open your my photo stream album, tap Edit, tap the photos, tap Share, then tap Save to Camera Roll. Be sure to do this on your other devices first.
To get the missing photos back on your iPod, create a shared photo stream that includes them on one of your other devices and invite yourself as a subscriber (see http://help.apple.com/icloud/#mmc0cd7e99).

I can't find a appropriate sound Effect for motion template.

Like my title say I can't find a appropriate sound Effect for motion template. I am using the template that goes by SATIN and There I choose SATIN BLUE-MENU.
In that Template we can see a blue Sheet flying by. BUt I am totally lost to get a nice sound for that. So far I could not find any sound for that. I never Worked with sound Effect. I appreciate any tip.
What is better only sound or a music playing with it? What kind sound goes with it?

I think you need to give us a little more information. Which program are you currently using? Soundtrack Pro, Motion, what? What does the Satin template do?
It sounds like what you're looking for is a "whoosh" effect -- like maybe a gust of wind or something like that. In finder search for the word "whoosh" and then select whichever drive has your Apple loops. You'll find a plethora of whooshes.
Of course that may not be what you're looking for. You'll have be be a little more specific with what the picture is that you're trying to add sounds to, and even then, it's still your artistic choice.

How to change output directory in Template Builder

I'm using XML Publisher 5.5. standalone. When I use the Preview-Function in Template Builder to generate RTF output with MS Word, I want to change the directory in which the generated Files are located. How can I do this?

The temp files are in:
\XML Publisher Desktop\Template Builder for Word\tmp
I'm not sure why you need to change the preview directory.
You can also use the system-temp-dir property to change the temp folder for run-time (there should be more info on this in the XMLP User's Guide)

Turn off sound effects for iTunes volume changes?

I've started getting audible squirt-noises each time I use the F9 or F10 or F11 keys to raise or lower iTunes volume. How I go back silent changes?
I've checked iTunes help and Googled a few things and unchecked all the sound effects in Apple System Preferences but no luck. I want to keep using the keys, not the slider.

Did you mean to ask this in the Tiger OS forum? Your computer information says you are running Leopard. I can request this post be moved to the correct forum.
In Tiger you can toggle "play feedback when volume is changed" in the System Preferences > Sound > Sound Effects preference pane.

I have the iPad 2 (verizon). The lock rotation is always on (can't change it) and NONE of the sound effects work.

Since yesterday evening, the lock rotation icon is stuck on, and none of the sound effects work. I have factory restored and restored from a backup twice, same result. And I'v checked the headphone jack.
Am I missing something?

Assuming that you havn't turned the volume completely down, then have you got notifications muted ? Only notifications (including games) get muted, so the iPod and Videos apps, and headphones, still get sound.
Depending on what you've got Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to (mute or rotation lock), then you can mute notifications by the switch on the right hand side of the iPad, or via the taskbar (and similarly for rotation lock) : double-click the home button; slide from the left; and it's the icon; press home again to exit the taskbar.
