Changing the default number of rows displayed in a interactive report

Hi,
I have a sql query based interactive report but i cant change the default number of pages i.e 15.
is there any way to change the number of rows displayed.
Thank you,
rakesh

Hi,
That was very useful document that you shared, yes that is correct we can so it this way but there is another way doing it where in if you go to the report attribute section and in that there is Layout and Pagination and under
that you can fix the number of rows, and over there we can also accept values from page item such as if the page item value changes the number of rows displayed in the report changes dynamically.
In my report i get only pagination but not a option for layout.
Any help will be appreciated.
And also where i can get the links to the similar document that you have shared ?

  • How to set default number of records shown in an interactive report table?

How can I set the default number of rows shown on an interactive report?
The default seems to be 15, I can't find where this can be changed.

    Hi John,
When you're logged into the development interface, run the page with the IR. Set the rows from 15 to 5 (for example) and click "GO". Now click on the Actions Menu icon (the green gear), click "Save Report". "Save as: As default report settings". Click Apply and your rows will be set.

  • How to change Default number of rows displayed in a Briefing Book

    Hi,
We have a requirement to deliver a dashboard containing 7 dashboard pages to the business users.
To achieve this, I have created a briefing book by adding all the required dahboard pages and scheduled an agent to deliver the briefing book in PDF format. However, the briefing book delivered by the agent shows only 25 rows for all the analysis (reports) included in the dashboard pages.
I have already made the following settings:
    1. At the report level, edited the table view property to show 150 Rows Per page.
    2. At the dashboard page level, edited the PDF and Print properties to Print All Rows.
    3. Edited the instanceconfig.xml file to include the following tag under <Table> tag: <DefaultRowsDisplayedInDelivery>15000</DefaultRowsDisplayedInDelivery>
Please advise if there is any setting which can help in increasing the default number of rows in a Briefing Book (OBIEE 11.1.1.3).
    Thanks & Regards,
    Sumit

    Hi,
This is a bug in 11.1.1.3
Bug 12671370 - BRIEFING BOOKS DO NOT SHOW ALL ROWS
As a workaround, you may want to click on the "Display Maximum(500) rows per page" button on the dashboard page before you download to Briefing books. This will work for reports with less than 500 rows.

  • How to set the number of rows displayed in a classical report at runtime?

    Hi,
Our customer has several standard client hardware configuration and would like to enable end users to choose their 'display profile' at login time. This 'display profile' would contain predefined values for these hardware configurations and supposed to set various paramters that should define the number of rows displayed in a classical report region.
I tried to provide parameters on the report region but it refused to accept anything but numerical values. Is it possible to do this?
    Regards, Tamas

The link is to the closest linkable point in the documentation to the description of the Number of Rows (Item) attribute.
It sounds like you have been trying to enter&mdash;unsuccessfully&mdash;an item name or substitution string into the Number of Rows attribute. The Number of Rows (Item) attribute is the one that actually allows you to do this. Click on the flashlight icon beside it to get a list of items from the application.

  • How do I change the Default number of pings?

I know that using -c will temporarily set the number of pings issues for example:  "ping -c 5 192.168.1.50" would issue 5 pings.  My issue is that if I don't use the -c option (i.e. ping 192.168.1.50), my terminal issues an endless number of pings and it continues to do so until I manually stop the command.  I'm not even sure if it would ever stop or just keep going.
In most cases this is not a big deal because I can easily use -c to set the desired number of pings.  However when I try to issue a broadcast ping for my LAN which is "ping 192.168.1.255" the command pings the First host that is connected, and continues to ping that same host over and over until I stop it and it never pings any other host besides the first, and my broadcast ping never works.
I really only use the broadcast ping to update the Arp cache before issuing an "arp -a" or something similar, however, it would be nice if I could change the default to something low like between 5 and 10 pings, so that even if I don't use the -c option the count will be low!
Does anybody know how to make this adjustment?

    ComputerG,
the ping command in OS X does not have an option to change its default  count. If the -c count option is not provided on the command line, the unchangeable default count is infinite (i.e. keep pinging until interrupted).

  • Number of Rows Displayed in a SQL Report Region

    Hi,
Just wondering whether it is possible to control the 'Number of Rows' displayed under the 'Layout and Pagination' section within the Report Attributes page.
Basically need to know if I can programmatically control this or even better, can it be customized by the user as the user may want to see say 15 rows, 200 rows or 'All' rows of a certain region on the page. FYI, I have three different report regions on one page and want to give the user the flexibility to modify the number of rows displayed per region.
    Thanks.
    Tony.

    Tony,
you can find that in this how-to document:

  • How can I change the default number for a contact when using Siri

My husband has one mobile for work, one for home, both are in my favorites. When i'd ask Siri to dial his number, it would always ask me which one to use. Recently when calling him Siri asked if I would like to use his work number as the default and I mistakenly agreed. Now Siri never asks which number to dial and always dials the work number. How can I change that? I would like to make the default the home number.

    Thanks all for your responses.
I tried to "order" Siri to change my husband's default number and whatever syntax I used for my request Siri responded with a web search on how to set favorites.
So I ended up deleting the work number from my husband's contact information and I used Siri to call him a couple of times. After 24 hours (random time frame) I added his work mobile back to his contact information, but not in the favorites.
SIri now dials his home number because it's the only one in the favorites.
I'll add it to the favorites in due course.

  • How to change the max number of member display in Target Group

    Dear Experts,
We are using 2007 CRM Marketing.
When I search and open a Target Group it displays me maximum of 100 entries of members over 11 pages. how do I increase or decrease the max number.
    Appricate you help.
    Thanks,

    Hi,
you can set the number of members that will be displayed in target group.
Go to any profile group -> open the graphical modelling -> open settings.
Here you can ajust the displayed number of members in a targetgroup.
These settings are user-dependent and saved in table CRMD_MKTTG_PERS.

  • 0ANALYZER Web Template - increase number of Rows displayed

    Hello All,
Is there a context menu command / popup value  that will allow an end-user to increase the *default* number of Rows displayed at a time (25)  when we are using the 0ANALYZER Web template?
We have about 100 characteristics anyway, so setting the displayed "chunks" of Rows to say 50 at a time would be quite reasonable.
We do not want to customise 0ANALYZER web template (and therefore any solution to add any extra buttons/JScript won't be acceptable)
    Any ideas 0ANALYZER experts?
    Thanks
    Ian

    Hi Ian,
My suggestion is that you make a copy of 0ANALYZER_PATTERN web template say ZANALYZER_PATTERN and make this your default web template. Now in the properties of your analysis grid of ZANALYZER_PATTERN, you can change the number of displayed columns and rows. But again this will be appplied to all web queries using this template.
If you want to change number of rows and columns dynamically, why not ask SAP netweaver team.
    Thanks.

  • Classic Report limit the number of rows displayed

    Hi All,
In my application I have a classic Report which show the data of a simple query. For lay-out reasons I want to limit the number of display to 5 instead of the default 15. I've looked in several forums and they told me that I have to set the number of rows in the report attributes.
But it did not what I want. I'm Using APEX 4.1.0 on a Oracle 11G database
My question is: How can I limit the maximum number of rows in a classic SQL Report.

However, pagination settings get cached for the duration of the session. For this change to be instantly visible, either log out, restart the brower, and log in again, or manually re-request the page from the browser address bar, adding 'RP' in the ClearCache position in the URL.

  • Interactive report - default number of rows

I am using APEX 3.1.1 and can not find a way to change the default of 15 for the "number of rows" returned when initially displaying an interactive query. Have I missed something?
It is certainly easy enough using "Layout and Pagination - Number of Rows" for a non-interactive report region.
    thanks Peter

    Hi Peter,
In the report definition, there is a section headed Default Report Settings. This shows the instruction:
To create default report settings, run the report as a developer, modify the settings (like hiding columns, adding filters, etc.), select Save Report from the Actions Menu and then save As Default Report Settings.
The default row count is one of those settings - make sure you Run the report before saving.

  • How to increase number of rows displayed in Essbase drill-through report?

    Hi
By default, the maximum number of rows per Essbase drill-through report (via Integration Services) is set to 1000. Could anyone tell me how to change this limit please?
    Regards
    Chandra

Is this for an EIS drill through report that drills through to get RDBMS data, using spreadsheet add-in for example? If so check and see if "Maximum rows per query" in EIS is currently set at 1000 and try to increase it. (I don't recall hitting a 1000 limit in the past, perhaps your report is set at that? or if this is through Web Analysis maybe WA is governing it)
To set/change a query governor in EIS:
1     In the Drill-Through Reports dialog box, select a report name.
2     Click Edit to open the Report properties dialog box.
3     In the Report properties dialog box, select the Governors tab.
4     In the Maximum time per query (in seconds) text box, enter the maximum query time.
For example, to stop a query that takes longer than 100 seconds, type 100.
5     In the Maximum rows per query text box, enter the maximum number of rows to retrieve.
For example, to stop a query that retrieves more than 200 rows, type 200.
    6     Click OK.

  • Changing the Default No.of Copies in Print Window

    HI All,
How to change the default number of copies while printing in Print POP Up box for Standard Transactions for some specific users.
    Regards,
    Sudhir

    Hi Neeraj,
Thanks very much for the info! Unfortunately, when I get to the "MemberSelectionRowsPerPage" tab, I'm not able to change the default from 20. The "20" appears in blue numbers, and while I am able to modify the field, as soon as I click away from it, or click enter, or click refresh, it reverts back to "20". I've also tried modifying the number, and closing out the screen, but when I go back to the tab to check, it has reverted back to "20".
Is there a way to save this setting that I'm missing? Has anyone else seen this before?
    Thanks in advance!

  • Change standard rows (15) in an interactive report

    Hello,
I want to change the default value for rows in an interactive report (15).
It should be displayed in principle always 50 rows. I have unfortunately found no setting which I can change that.
A search on the net and forum brought no help.
    Can someone help me maybe?

Ah. Try this -- it was a surprise to me.
Edit the report but this time click the "Saved Reports" tab at the top. Select your report. Click the report checked box -- I don't know if this is necessary. Then in the "Actions" > "Rows Per Page", what number is highlighted? Highlight 50. If the selector doesn't go up the 50, increase the Maximum Rows Per Page back on the "Report Attributes" tab. The saved report should now be set to 50 lines per. Login in again and restart your report.
    Finally - maybe,
    Howard

  • How to change the default window size display font size on Lync 2013 main window?

    Hi champs,
Just a simple non-technical question: How to change the default window size display font size on Lync 2013 main window on Windows 7 desktop?
    Thanks,

    Hi,
Did you mean change the Lync: Change the Default Font and Color of Instant Messages just as Edwin said above?
If not, as I know, there is no natural way to change it.
If yes, on the latest version of Lync 2013 client, there is a new option “IM” on Lync client “Options” list. And you need to change the default Font and Color of IM in the interface of “IM”.
