Changing the description field in AP Invoice

Hi is it possible to change the description field in an 'open' posted AP or AR invoice?  I assume you have to credit note the invoice and re enter it with the new line item description which seems a long way around when only the text is being changed and not the coding or amounts.
thanks judi

Hi,
All marketing documents, whether closed/open, do allow the user to change the remarks/narrantion. This field is located in the Footer Fields - left corner of the form.
Pls check out.

  • IOS 8: The textbox to change the description field of the iCloud email account no longer exists

The textbox to change the description of the iCloud email account that existed in all previous versions of iOS, and is available for all other types of email accounts under iOS 8, appears to have been removed.  Without this textbox, it is not possible to change the default description of "iCould", or to change a description that was set with a previous version of iOS.  The description field still exists, as the value that I set on a previous version of iOS is still being used by some of my iOS devices, but there is currently no way to change it via the current iOS 8 UI.  The description field is available to change for all other kinds of email accounts.

Confimed.  And I hope they put it back soon.
I used an iCloud backup to transfer everything on my iPhone 5s to my iPhone 6.  The (modified) description for my iCloud account transferred and appears the way I want it to appear on my iPhone 6.  However, it cannot be changed.
Alternatively, I also have a new iPad Air 2 that I set up as a completely new iPad (i.e. I did not transfer anything from an older iPad).  The iPad shows the description for my iCloud account as the default: "iCloud."  It, too, cannot be changed.
True, this is only a minor annoyance, but it would be less of an issue if Apple had not removed a feature that previously existed in iOS 7.
I'm not sure if the removal was intentional or unintentional, but, again, I hope this gets fixed soon.  In the meantime, I would be interested in anyone can find a workaround.

  • Change the description of the field

    Dear All
I have a requirement where in i have to change the decription of the field " sales district" to "cluster" in the customer master. Can anybody please guide me how to do that??I have tried to go to SE11 against the table KNVV & searched for VKBUR field to change the description but wasnt able to navigate further to resolve the issue.

    Hi,
use transaction cmod.  In the menu point GoTo -> Text enhancements -> Keywords -> change. You will see a pop up Key in your data element. Now you can change the field describtion.

  • Change the description of a field in a SAP QUERY

Can i change the description of a field in a SAP QUERY report in the output of the report.or only the standard descriptions can be displayed.
Edited by: mysap query on May 12, 2009 7:23 AM

    HI,
in query maintenance (sq01) you can change the text of the field at the selection screen (change the selection text in the screen where you choose the selection fields) and the header text in the output list (basiclist maintennace , go to "basic list header", double-click each header field to maintain the text). This change is only for the particular query. No ABAP-er required to do so.

  • How to Change the Value Field Type of a Value Field

    Hi,
How can I change the value field type from Currency to Quantity of a value field? I have tried to do it in KEA6. I can change the value field and its description, but not the value field type from currency to qty. If I change this config, is there any other changes that I need to make so there is no side issue of this change?

    Hi Prem,
Once you created value field as quantity or currency, you can not change this nature of value field. Based on this, system creates lots of data and tables. For this reason system will not allow any changes in quantity or currency.
Alternative way is to remove the old value field and  create a new value field assign to operating concern and put all your seetings.
Please let me know if you require any clarifications.
    Thank you,
    Regards,
    Santosh

  • Which FM to use to change the PO number in an Invoice Document with status = 3

    Hi Experts,
My requirement is to change the PO number  in an Invoice Document. The Document Status (RBSTAT ) is 3. I tried with 'BAPI_INCOMINGINVOICE_CHANGE' but  its not working instead showing a message 'Further processing of document not possible (Faulty status)'.
I guess this BAPI works for only invoices with status  A, B, C, D or E. Please suggest me how to solve this.
    Regards,
    ABAP User

You don't need to as Breakpoint mentioned.  The values are determined by the data you pass to the function module - if you need a different value in your 6.0 system than you have in your 4.6C system, then you need to adapt your call accordingly, e.g., blocking or closing any open items that you no longer need and thus setting the status to 'C' in one of the VBUK/VBUP fields.

  • Pasring multiple fields into the Description field with a carriage return between each in Orchestrator

I have a Service Request that is entered in through the Self Service Portal.  This service request has 4 different prompts in the Request Offering.
This will actually eventually become a Change Management Request.
What I would like to do, is grab the 4 User Inputs, and place them in the Description field of the Change Management Request.  I can get them to show up in the Description, however, I would like to be able to add a carriage return between each User
Input (along with a description of what's being put in).  How can I do that?
Right now, it looks like this Username: Name Manager: Manager
Start Date: Start Date Needs Mail?: Y or N
I want it to look like this:
    Username: Name
    Manager: Manager
    Start Date: Start Date
    Needs Mail?: Y or N

Thank you.  This is what I was looking for.
For those figuring out what to do:
Add the Run .Net Script command to your Runbook.
Under Details, selec PowerShell for the Type, and in the Script $Desc = "Username:
Username field from the Published Data" + "`n" + "Manager: Manager field from the Published Data" + "`n" + "Start Date:
Start Date field from the Published Data" + "`n" + "Needs Mail:
Needs Mail field from the Published Data"
($Desc is just the variable I used, and can be whatever you want)
Under Published Data, Add the field you want to output and make the Variable name what you used above without the $
Then do Update Object and Update the Description with the published data from your PowerShell Command.
I do this, and my data is passed successfully and it shows up in my notifications, however the carriage returns are not there. It looks the same as it did before I added the powershell right before Update Object.
? Anybody else not getting this to work ?

  • Change the description of standard element

    Hi,
I need to change the description of (VBAP-MVGR1 'Material Group 1') field, which system is using in Transaction Code VA01,VA02 & VA03  (Additional data as per item level).  Pls suggest me how to change it's description. Clients wants to add his own description here.
Should i change the description of data element directly with access key?
      pls suggest.
    Thanks in advance.
    Pradeep

    Hi,
gothrough this, it will help you..
Creating Your Own Keywords and Short Texts
You can use the enhancement concept to create your own keywords for data elements stored in the ABAP Dictionary. The system uses keywords on screens to identify entry fields. Data elements can have up to three keywords of varying lengths.
The data element BBBNR, for example, identifies the first part of a customer’s international company number. The standard keywords for this data element in the ABAP Dictionary are:
    Company no. 1
    Comp. no.1
    Company number 1
You might want to change these keywords to reflect your company’s own terminology. Instead of ‘Company number 1,’ you might want to identify the field as ‘Corporate ID.’ If you change the keywords using the enhancement concept, your new texts will appear in all SAP screens where any field directly refers to the data element your altered. If SAP deliberately modifies a keyword on a standard screen, direct reference to the original data element is dissolved. Any changes you make to a keyword with the enhancement concept will not appear in standard screens that do not retain a direct reference to the modifed data element.
You can identify such screen-specific modifications by looking in the Screen Painter. Display the field’s screen attributes and examine the field Modific. If an ‘x’ appears, the SAP developer modified the data element’s key word. Your own keyword will not appear.
The enhancement concept also allows you to alter a data element’s short description (short text). This brief text appears whenever a user calls up online help for that field with F1 . To create your own keyword and short text documentation, proceed as follows:
Enter the Project management transaction by choosing Utilities ® Enhancements ® Project management from the ABAP Workbench menu
Choose Text enhancements ® Key words ® Change.
The system displays a dialog box.
Enter the name of data element.
If you want to see a list of all the screens where this data element appears, choose Ref. to screen before proceeding to the next step. The reference list shows you how many standard R/3 screens your new documentation will affect.
Choose Change from the application toolbar.
Edit the data element’s keywords and short text.
    Save your changes.
If you want to list all the data elements in your system that you have created customer-specific key words for, return to the main screen of the Project management transaction and choose Text enhancements ® Key words ® Display. The system displays all altered data elements and shows which changes were made.
    Restoring SAP and Customer Versions
At some point you may want to restore all standard SAP keywords and short texts for data elements that you may have altered. You can restore the standard texts from the main screen of the Project management transaction. Choose Text enhancements ® Key words ® Restore SAP version. Specify the SAP release from which the texts are to be restored.
The restoration function is carried out by a special program that runs in the background. This program goes through all data elements in your SAP System and restores the standard texts where required.
    Creating Your Own Online Documentation
The enhancement concept allows you to create your own online documentation for all data elements in the ABAP Dictionary. The system displays this documentation whenever a user chooses F1 to get more information about a screen field.
The standard documentation for the R/3 data element BBBNR reads: ‘Here, you enter the first 7 digits of the international location number’. You can enhance this documentation with additional information that your users may need. To write your own field documentation, proceed as follows:
Call the Project management transaction by choosing Utilities ® Enhancements ® Project management from the ABAP Workbench menu.
Choose Text enhancements ® Data elements ® New DE cust. docu.
The system displays a dialog box.
    Specify the data element’s name.
If you want to see a list of all the screens where this data element appears, choose Ref. to screen before proceeding to the next step. The reference list shows you how many standard R/3 screens your new documentation will affect.
Choose Change from the application toolbar.
On the next screen, ensure that the checkbox labelled Make available SAP documentation in the form of an INCL is activated.
    Choose Create.
    Write your own documentation.
    Save your changes.

  • We need to change the description in SVO according to VOA's description manually

    Hi Team
There is diffrence in Desription in SvO (Service Order ) and Vendor outline Agreement. We need to change the description in SVO according to VOA's description manually Please find the below screen Shot. Kindly assist to check the root cause or any setting we need to take.
    T-code: iw33 & me33k
    SVO
    VOA
    Br, Kiran

The same, I am telling. While creating VOA, they might have changed the description.
Also, while creating Service Order, they might have changed the description which is different from VOA.
If you don't want to edit the description, then make both fields in disable mode in all phases (creation as well as change), so that user can't change the description.

  • Who has changed the Custom Field value?

    Dears,
Need to know the information regarding how to fetch that who has changed the Custom field value from PWA/MPP.
    Example:
There is a PDP (say ProjectInfo):
There is a Custom Field added to that PDP (say Project Status = In Progress).
Now for ProjectA, someone has checked out and changed the Custom Field "Project Status" from "In Progress" to "Closed".
I need to fetch the information regarding who has changed that Custom field.
In which direction should I move: Event Handlers, PSI???? Any other stuff?
    Thanks & Regards,
    Shravan

    Hi Shravan,
I'm not a developer but I do know that you can use an event handler pushing the resource name and date in custom fields.
Another way is to use a 3rd-party tool like
    FluentPro Audit Tool.
    Hope this helps,

  • Is there a way to have the description field in a calendar list item to support enhanced rich text?

We have a user who has a few hundred calendar items created in outlook. If you open the calendar item, the description includes tables with borders, shading, etc. It seems that the description field in Sharepoint calendars only support basic rich text,
so if I copy the items from the user's calendar to the sharepoint calendar, the formatting is lost. Is there any way to create a custom calendar with enhanced rich text for the description field?

This is a workaround that is working for us.  I created a new column "Event Description", selected "Plain Text" and then created a basic workflow that updated Description from Event Description.  #160 is no longer showing.
Please be aware that the trick to this is that you must write everything in a string.  In other words, don't use the Enter key.
In my case it was worth it as we couldn't rebuild and the user needed a valid and quick fix.

  • Is there a way to display again the description field by clicking on the gold star near the url (useful to type memos about this site)?

In the previous versions of Firefox, when you click on the star near the url, you can add this website on your favorites. Another click and you can edit some fields about this bookmark, like the url, the folder, etc...
But with FF17, the Description field is no longer there. You can only find it when managing your bookmarks, that is not really user friendly.
Is there a way to add again the description field when clicking on the gold star? It's very useful for adding notes about this website, and it's also synch with addins like Xmarks

Add code to the userChrome.css file below the default @namespace line.
The customization files userChrome.css (interface) and userContent.css (websites) are located in the chrome folder in the user profile folder.
