Changing the frame size of a Quicktime image sequence

I need to create an image sequence of a short piece of video. I know how to make an image sequence using the Quicktime conversion, but I can't get it to export in widescreen 1920 x 1080. It keeps exporting the frame size of the images as 1440 x 1080. How to you change the frame size?

the original clip has a frame size of 1440 x1080 hence that is how it exports ... you must set the pixel aspect ratio in your image processing app to 1440x1080 then the footage should appear normal.
(in Photoshop that's the HDV Widescreen 1.333 pixel aspect ratio setting)
edit: or you could export a tiff image sequence using compressor and do the resize in there

  • How can i automatically change the frame size

hello everyone and have a nice week!
I have diary with many text frames per page and i want to change the frame size automatically on some of them because i change the font size. I tried find/change but on the object section there is everything but the frames size.
I hope someone has the answer to that otherwise its hours of work...

Frame fitting only works onthe last frame in a threaded set. I'm not sure that the auto fit feature in CS6 would help, either.
I'm not sure that I understand what it is you are doing, now that you've said the frames are threaded. Can you give us more of an explanation, perhaps some screen shots (blur the text if it's too personal, or add placeholder text for a sample).

  • How do i change the frame size in FCX?

I create short videos for an ecom website and and need the frame/canvas size to be vertical.  It was no problem in FC7, I'd just customize the frame size in the sequence settings.  There is no option in FCX that i can find.  Someone told me that apple was telling people to use one of the standard sizes and then export it in compressor using the correct size - that makes no sense, as i need to edit the videos in a vertical format, including cropping and keyframing, to make sure that the project stays centered.  Is there really no way to create a custom frame size?  im just thinking about all of those web banner videos out there, and how they can no longer be created in final cut...

i actually initially tried this last week (creating a 'preset' in motion), and it basically 'works' but am i able to do everything with a compound clip that i can with a project?  It seems like a strange work around and are there any downfalls to editing using this workflow?
the one thing i cant seem to do is select all of my compound clips from an event, and batch export them or send them simultaneousy to compressor.  will i need to export each clip separately?  that will tremendously effect our workflow as we generally take a batch of 50-60 movies and batch export them overnight.
Also since most of the videos are shot similarly each day, we always use 'paste attributes' to apply all filters, size and movement - but i dont see anywhere to do this in FCX.  I see that i can copy and past individual attributes (a single color correction) but is it not possible to apply all of the characteristics of one clip to another?
    thanks for your help!

  • Is there a way to change the frame size in a sequence?

I'm using Final Cut Pro 4 and I've looked through help and through the threads in this forum and I haven't found anything that really relates to my problem. I have edited 3 videos. One is 352x288 and the other 2 are 320x240. Is there a way I can change the first video to 320x240 so it will match up with the others?
Also, if a video is in widescreen, can it be changed to fullscreen?
Any help would be extremely useful to me! Thanks in advance!

    Hi
Try to use Quicktime Pro. When you export your file with Quicktime Pro, you can use Movie to Quicktime Movie Settings in the save as menue and change the size easy.
Regarding wide screen to full sscreen. You have to zoom in and loose left and right. This you can do in FCP and export then. But you loose quality.

  • Export to Web: Framed, can you change the frame size/color?

I like the new back forth arrows with the framed feature but would like a smaller frame and maybe black. Is there an option for this?
I can also change it in dreamweaver if someone has a hint on that.
I wish the same front back arrows were on the non framed exports.

If you know HTML you can take some of the controls of the framed version and apply them to the plain version. As far as the frames, they are created by individual files for each side. You would have to modify each frame component in the Resources folder that is created along with the html files.
    ADDENDUM:
Have you considered using iWeb to create a photo page? With iWeb you have the option of nearly 80 different frame types as well as any color background.
The standard IWeb has only 24 frames for applying to photos. This application changes the preferences file for iWeb to make available nearly 80 additional frames: Frames and strokes installer for :iWork ’08, iWork ’09, iWeb ’08 et iWeb ’09.
Be sure to keep the install package as upgrades to iWeb, Pages or Keynote, and possibly updaters, will remove them and you'll have to reapply it go get them back..

  • How do i undo my changes in sequence settings? (the frame size)

I have ran into a very frustrating problem. I have FCP 7 and my footage i am editing is HDTV 1080i. With this footage i have to change the frame size to 1440 by 1080 and in another instance i change it to another frame size. The problem is that i made a mistake with one of the frame sizes and i dont know how to undo the mistake. If i enter in a new frame size, the video will only add on to my mistake frame size instead of replacing it. The only way i see fixing this is redoing everything...but there has to be an easier way...any help?! Or am i unclear?

Select the clips that aren't filling the frame correctly, and then right click on one of them to select "remove attributes". From the dialog box that will open, select "basic motion" then click OK. This should take care of your problem if I'm reading this correctly.

  • Is it possible to define the frame size when capture from MiniDV?

I am editing a series of tapes which I did not film and don't have the original camera. I am capturing it using my Canon ZR500. When I capture it the frame size is 720 by 480 (3:2). Is there any possibility that by using a different camera I could be inadvertently changing the frame size? (I can't see where I could but someone in this project thinks the aspect ration should be 4:3 - I can't see anywhere I could be changing it.)

I have just given this a quick browse but I think it just explains how to make slides match the frame size. I used keynote to make the slide - probably not the best but I don't have photoshop. But the principle should be the same?
But using an incorrect slide size shouldn't affect the aspect ratio of the final video should it?
After I create the .mov file from FCE I use MPEG Streamclip to produce an .mp4 version to upload to the internet. If I use Streamclip to view the stream info it still shows a frame size of 720 by 480.
    Am I missing something?

  • How do I change the font size on the menu bar in Quicktime?

I have to squint and put my nose to the monitor to read it.It looks like it's about a 3 point font size.  I don't see anything in the preferences for changing it, and I'd rather not change the resolution on my monitor.
    Thanks!

To change the font size in PDF forms, one needs to have Adobe Acrobat rather than Adobe Reader.

  • How do I change the pixel size of my photos?

    Hello,
Please give me step by step instructions on how to change the pixel size of my photos from the time I log in.
    Thank you.

    There are basically two ways.
Image>Image Size... This will adjust the quality of the image, allowing you to adjust the pixel dimensions and keep the full image.
In the tool bar on left side of screen 5th icon down looks like a sliding picture frame. That is the crop tool, that will adjust the pixel size of a document by removing a portion of the image, allowing you to get rid of portions of the image you do not want.
There are some other ways to accomplish the above, but these are the basics that everyone needs to know. I recommend playing with these tools on a copy of an image, that way you won't be afraid of destroying an image.

  • How can I change the frame around a title created with the Rectangle Tool?

In PrE 7, I have been creating titles (e.g.: Title > New Title > Default Still, etc.) for a long time and using the many ways to manipulate the text (type, color, size, animation, etc.). Today, I tried to use the Rectangle Tool (or the Ellipse Tool, or the Line Tool) and they created a beautiful 'frame' (like a picture frame: artistically designed and colored) and I can change the background color within the frame and place any text (also background picture, etc.) in it. However, I couldn't find any way to change the 'frame' or the general style of these title objects. Is there any way to do this, or this is the only design that can be created with these tools? I would greatly appreciate any help (couldn't find any in this u2u site). Thanks, Laci.

    Laci,
Yes, you can apply Styles to several Rectangles (or other Shapes), to simulate a "frame." The Styles should appear as Text in the Styles Panel. Since you are working with Shapes, but viewing the Styles applied to Text, it is not perfectly intuitive as to what those Styles look like with the Shapes.
Personally, I find that doing things like "frames" in Photoshop and then Importing the PSD's into PrE is far, far easier. In that case, I would place the PSD on Video Track 1 (unless I wanted it to appear superimposed over my Video (like a PiP), and then do the text in a PrE Title, and place it above the PSD.
    Here is an example:
This is a simple "picture frame" created in PS. I used a still image, instead of text in this case. These could be "wood-grained," "granite," etc.
Much more control and tons of Effects and Filters that can be applied.
    Good luck,
    Hunt
PS - that is from PrPro, so the GUI will look quite different, but things work the same way.

  • How to change the logo size on all the pages?

I have some 125 pages and i need to change the logo size of every page .Is there any method to change with one click that reflects on all the other pages ? Rather than i do it manually open every page and change the logo size? The logo is in the div. I want to use it as html rather than using as css div background image. Any help will be highly appreciated am using DWCS6 on win xp pro.

If the code is the same on every page, you could use the Find & Replace function within DW...
    1. Make a backup of your site files, just in case
    2. Make the necessary changes to one page to get what you want (make sure you know what the original code for it was/is)
    3. Hit Ctrl + F to open the Find/Replace Dialogue
    4. For "Find In" choose Entire Current Local Site
    5. In "Search" choose Source Code
    6. For "Find" put the line(s) of code that contain your background image on all pages (the original code mentioned in #2 above)
    7. For "Replace" put in the newly changed line(s) of code from step 2.
    8. Hit Replace All
DW will go through all of the pages, replacing whatever code you put in Find with whatever code you put in Replace.

  • How can I change the frame rate mode?

Adobe Premiere Pro exports my videos with a variable frame rate. Because of this long videos are asynchronous. How can i change the frame rate mode? So Adobe Premie Pro exports my videos with a CONSTANT frame rate? The original video  has a constant frame rate...

Sorry my mistakes. I am from Germany.. so...I mean with asynchronous that the video file and the sound file are displaced. In the beginning of the Video it's normal, but if the videos is very long it goes VERY "asynchronous"

  • How can I change the font size and placement of photo descriptions in an  iPhoto slide show?

With an iPhoto slide show, how do I change the font size for titles and descriptions and position the text when preparing a slide show?

to change the pixels crop to 100x100 and export with maximum dimension of 100 - see the user tip on exporting foo details on Export options - Exporting From iPhoto
As to DPI - digital photos have no DPI since DPI is Dots Per Inch and digital photos have no inches hence no DPI - when you print a photo then DPI is a mathematical calculation - dots divided by inches - it is not a setting
    Print a 480 pixel photos as a 1" square and the print it 480 DPI (480 / 1 = 480) and print the 100 pixel image as a 1" square it will be 100 DPI (100 / 1 = 100) - print a 480 pixel photo as a 4.8 inch square and it is 100 dpi (480 / 4.8 = 100) - just a calculation - not a setting

  • How do i know or change the inch size in iPhoto?

How do I know and/or change the inch size of a photo in iPhoto?

There is no inch size of a photo in iPhoto. On your computer your photos are measure in pixels. Inches only come into it when you go to the real world - i.e by printing.
The question then is what quality do you want in your print? That's the dpi or dots-per-inch
Short answer: the dpi is set when you decide what size you're printing at.
Long Answer: Dpi means nothing in the digital world of your computer. There are no "inches" to have "dots per..." Size is measured in pixels. That's the same on your camera. It doesn't take 10 x 8 or 6 x 4 shots. It takes shots measured in megapixels. For instance 4,000 x 3,000 is a 12 megapixel camera.
Using that example, that shot from that camera has 12 million pixels. So that's how many "Dots" there are. To decide the ratio of dots per inch, you now need to decide the "inches" part. And that's printing. Print at 10 x 8 and the dpi will be 4,000/10 or about 400 dpi. At 6 x 4 then it's 4,000/6 or 660 dpi. Work the other way: Print at 300 dpi and the resulting image will be about 13 inches on the longer side.
So, your photo as a fixed number of pixels. Changing the dimensions of the print will vary the dpi, changing the dpi will vary the dimensions of the print.

  • Pages are not scaled correctly, if you change the font size in browser (Fireworks export in CSS)

I created some simple pages for my website with fireworks. I only used images and text and exported the pages in CSS and images. The Problem is that if you change the font size in the browser text and images or text and text often overlap each other. So what can I do that the page is scaled correctly?

Yep, the "Font Size" option under Setup / Display is certainly not what it should be.
Perhaps Menu or Fixed Font size would be more accurate.
This problem extends to much of the device; the Browser, e-mails and the lock screen.  Lock screen certainly looks like it was thrown together.
