Changing the install location in the applaction manager.

When i click to install my programs from applaction manger it wont let me install them on any other hard drive, I've tried changing the location in the prefences and still doesn't work, I've changed to default location and it didn't work either.
Can anyone help?

I'm unable to change my install location for my apps. I changed the preferences to the harddrive I want the apps to download to, but they keep trying to download to C.I don't have enough room on that drive

Fixed. It seems like for whatever reason it took a good 10 - 15 minutes for it to recognize the changes in the preference menu

To modify an existing calendar, go to Enterprise > Calendars. Then click on the calendar to modify and hit 'Modify', and make the desired changes.
To assign a different calendar to an activity, click on that activty, go to the General tab in the Activity Details on the bottom of the screen. Under the General tab, on the right hand side, there is drop down menu for Activity Calendar. You can change the assigned calendar for that activity with this menu.

Changes to properties that appear with a star symbol in KM Configuration need a server restart, so that these changes apply.
So no way except to restart.

My firefox isn't starting and I've tried changing the profile manager but that wouldn't open either even when I closed it out on the task manager

I've followed all the steps in the "Firefox will not start" and it is still not working :(

I'm also having this problem. The firefox.exe ins't even shown in my processes, but the profile manager still won't open. Neither will firefox internet. These days, many people running a Windows 7 Pro 64bits version are likely to have a SSD where the OS is located (I understand that people with Mac computers can have hard times realizing it).

Photoshop and Illustrator will be installed both in 32 and 64 bits versions...
months have passed since we yell in users forum
we presume many things... but not that you listen to your customers, nor that Adobe's looking for any solutions... nor that people who test your apps really own a real computer (no: anything running natively MAC OS is not a real computer... it's a toy for hipsters, a start for children or the only way for old people to keep in touch qith reltives via Facebook, but it's not a computer... I run a computer... nothing to compare).

Changing the Resident Management Point on SCCM

All my clients have stopped downloading software packages even though they recieve the advertisements. Everything else works in SCCM but that one critical part. It was all working fine before. After snooping around I find that clients have the correct Assigned Management Point but their Resident Managment Point is the old SMS2003 server. I am not sure how that happened. I am assuming this is the cause for the packages not downloading. How would I go about changing Resident Management Point to the correct one?

Check the clientlocation.log for detailed information about the MP used by clients. Make sure you have boundaries and a MP assigned to the clients. The best resource for these procedures is http://service.sap.com/instguides. Every installation guide normally has a section near the end that describes the uninstall procedure. In a Windows environment, it is done through Control Panel -> Add/Remove programs. In a Unix environment, it is done using SAPINST.
The difference between Unicode and non-unicode during the installation is the check box that appears during the parameter entry. By default, it is normally checked to indicate that this will be a Unicode installation.

yes , I have installed both OID and OIM in same Middleware.But since last one month it was working fine. Now I resolved that error.But again i got one new error.

Changing the default file manager in XFCE

How would I go about using Nautilus as the default file manager in XFCE instead of Thunar? I know it can be started up with 'nautilus --no-desktop', but how do I make this the default when opening folders from the desktop, menus, etc..?
The main reason I want to do this is because Thunar doesn't seem to remember a folders last setting. For example, there are folders which I would like to permanently view as a list, sorted by date; but there are plenty of other folders where this is not suitable. Nautilus remembers settings for each folder, Thunar doesn't, and it gets annoying changing the view mode each time. Also network browsing is easier in Nautilus, and I also like the way it tells you how fast file transfers are going.

Well, it might be considered a dirty hack but it has worked for me in gnome before so it should also work in xfce. Just edit the thunar.desktop file in /usr/share/applications and replace the Exec=thunar to Exec=nautilus --no-desktop and save the file. Then any time thunar is launched, nautilus will be launched instead.
Otherwise, you can edit the menu with the menu editor and change the File manager command and do the same in the panel icon properties. Both methods will work.

Changing the System in the desktoplaunch/InfoView Log in

We are on BO XI SP3 (Windows) and recently installed the BO application on a new server. We did copied our old respository over. So the "System" on the login screen shows our old server information and I would like to update this. Can you tell me what config file this is stored in.

You cannot use the cluster name for Java. You can only change the explicit machine name to another cluster member. The cluster name (@clustername) is only for use with COM and .NET SDKs since name resolution with the cluster name relies on a lookup in the Windows registry. However, Java application servers do not use the Windows registry.
In addition, the Java SDK variable that holds the list of CMSs is an internal variable that is not exposed to the end user.
Fault-tolerance and load-balancing with Java is achieved after a direct connection to one of the cluster members has been made. This loads the cluster member list and the Java Virtual Machines uses a round-robin principle to handle requests.

Changing the name and currency of a parent entity.

Hello Experts,
Just looking to confirm the impacts of changing a parent entity name as well as the default currency. I am assuming since it is not a base entity I will just need to reconsolidate all historical years across all scenarios and unpost and update any PCA journals as well as any report, dataform, grid changes and if the entity is mentioned in the rules. Updating metadata child parent association. Are there any other items I am not considering such as Process Management, etc...?

changing the reporting currency has realy quite an impact. So the biggest recommendation would always be to use a test-system first :-)
I think, that you mentioned most of the items.
- yes, reconsolidate, because all [Parent], [Proportion], [Elim], [Contrib] items will be los
- all journals on other elements than <Entity Curr Adjs> --> thats important! Even if you change back the currency to the original one will not enable the journals again!
- P-Mgmt --> if you change the reporting currency of an entity, you cannot change the P-Management if it is different than "not started". So you should reject all periods, where the P-Management of that entity was started. (there, if you miss one, you can load MD with the old currency and it will work again).
- please also consider if you have somewhere historic rates which you might need to adjust as well.
