I was looking for a site that offered pictures and step by step instructions for how to change the internal battery. You know the one that keeps the time and date. But if you can help other wise I'm sure it's easy enough but wanted to take a look first without opening it up. Thanks

It won't hurt the iBook to be on all the time. You can do that, or else just reset the time and date when you do turn it on.
There is a capacitor that will keep the time and date for a short while--maybe 30 seconds--enough time to replace the battery in theory. But only a working big battery will keep the date and time all the time. Or being connected to a power source all the time.

You are unable to change the internal order type once an internal order has been created, however you can delete the IO if there haven't been any postings made.
In change mode (tcode KO02), go into the internal order. Go into the following menu: Edit > Deletion Flag > Set. Before you exit the IO, save the master record.
Depending upon your archiving settings, you should then be able to select the menu path: Edit > Set Deletion Indicator.
If the IO isn't deleted, you can "clobber" it by going into the IMG and deleting the IO using the function "Delete Test Data". This should only be done by a technical person to ensure that a mass-delete doesn't occur.
Please note that if the IO was an internally assigned number, you might just want to block it and re-use it later.

Hi,
I would run the script I mention above. Then extract the definition from the database and save it to a flat file.
Running the script will replace all references to the old type in the system, but obviously won't touch anything that isn't in the database (i.e. the .wft file). You could use a text editor to change the .wft file, but it would be more prone to error than running the Oracle supplied script and then extracting from the database.

Changing the internal IP address of a TMG server

Hi, I am moving our TMG 2010 server over to a new datacenter and while the IP subnet will be the same the internal IP address of the TMG server must change.
If I understand it right, all I would have to do it change the physical NIC properties to reflect the new address right? If for example I am changing the internal NIC address from 10.0.0.1 to 10.0.0.2 and the 10.0.0.x network is already defined in TMG as
an internal network then there is nothing that needs to be done from the TMG point of view correct? This is not being used as an outgoing web proxy but for server publishing rules.
Am I on the right track?

Changing the internal domain to a subdomain -- Help!

Hello, so I have a huge project coming up and i was wondering if someone had some experience on this that could give me some advice.
So, started working on this company that has an internal domain called.. lets say abc.com and external alphabetaghama.org .. the problem we have is that we cannot get certs for our internal domain for public access like our exchange
server fqdn for example is exchange.abc.com ... Someone else owns abc.com which prompted my new boss to fix this and now i have a project to change our internal domain to match our external but I know that the best practice is to have a
subdomain as the internal domain and I think that's the route my boss wants to go with.. which brings me to my question.
What will I have to do to get this accomplished... our external domain name is really just a forward zone and i dont have a forest so does that mean that i will have to build a alphabetaghama.org forest and add a subdomain like corp.alphabetaghama.org
for our internal and then migrate everything over?
We currently have exchange 2007 with 2008R2 DC's.. our new domain would be on 2012R2 DCs with the same exchange server..
Sorry if something doesn't make sense, I'm a little new to a major project like this...

This really depends on the requirements. As the Domain restructure is a huge project, we'd better have some experts with good experenses at hand. And if the problem (to get public access) is solved, it is recommended to have a good consideration
if the rebuilding is needed.

Problem in changing the internal table contents of a standard program

Dear All,
I am making changes to internal table LT_PPDIT of standard program SAPLHRPT in the user exit EXIT_SAPLACC4_001 while payroll posting to accounting with tcode PC00_M99_CIPE. But though the changed value of LT_PPDIT is visible within the exit still the value of LT_PPDIT when we come outside exit is the same as what was before entering exit.
Please suggest is there any way of modifying internal table of a standard program in the user exit.

Hi,
I think the internal table is getting refreshed or something like that after the user exit.
Try debugging after the user exit and put breakpoints at clear and modify statements.
Then you ll find out where its regaining the oringinal value after getting changes.
After locating that point try finding some enhancmenent point there and including your code so that your value of internal able gets modified.

How do you change the pram battery on a slot loading iMac?

I'm hopeful that a new pram battery will solve the problems I've been having with my iMac. I just have to put it in, and judging by the correspondence I've seen on this subject, that's not an easy job. (One letter spoke of having to remove 16 screws) Does anyone know of a site that gives instructions complete with illustrations for changing the battery? It seems silly to have to take my set to a repair shop to change the battery, but I don't feel up to removing 16 screws without very clear instructions.

noticed a loose black wire with a metal tip right
next to the battery.

The only thing I could think of that might look like that might be the Airport antenna.
But, it could be something else. Without pictures, it would be hard to really guess at it.
I hadn't noticed it before, so I
don't know if I might have accidentally unplugged it
from where it should be. Anyway, just to be sure, I
wrapped the metal tip with scotch tape to insulate it
in case it comes in contact with a metal part.
Was it attached to the logic board (the main circuit board which your battery was on)? Or, was it coming from somewhere inside the computer's case?
Any idea or description of where it's other end was attached?
I hate to tell you this now, but electrical tape would have been a better choice for insulating it. It's still possible for electrical current to pass through scotch-tape.
A small, white polyethene? part fell out during my
activities. I can only hope that it's not essential.
Without a description, it's hard to say what that might have been.
Does it look like a bracket? If so, it may have gone around one of the connectors around the CD-ROM drive connectors, or one of the other cables you disconnected.
Otherwise, if it doesn't appear to have a function, it might just be a piece of broken plastic.
If it's flat and rectangular, it could also be a cap that goes over the battery. But, those are usually black with a couple of tabs to hold it in-place.
Also, it looks like two small,flat, grayish tabs got
snapped off the bottom panel when I removed it.
That happens sometimes. I was fortunate with my system. I've opened it many times without breaking anything (yet).
I didn't find the job to be easy, but maybe that's
because I was stresed out during the whole operation.

Fear was the problem. I was afraid that I might touch
the wrong part, I was afraid that I might drop a
screw ito the computer, I was afraid that I was going
to break the bottom panel in the process of removing
it, etc. The most difficult step was replacing the
heat shield. For a while, I thought that I would have
to give up and just attach it as best I could.
Glad to hear it all went back together.
Hopefully the extra parts and cable were not important. I would feel better figuring out what they were if it were my machine. But, it's up to you if you want to delve back in there and try and figure it out.

Hi i have a HP g62-b25sa notebook pc and i keep getting the internal battery 601 error

i cannot take my charger lead out as it will only last about 2 mins do i need to replace the clip on battery or is there an internal battery and my fan has stopped working also and my warrenty has run out i love this laptop but is it worth getting these parts replaced or just save up for a new laptop. thanks for any help you can give me.

You have to replace the old battery. The part number is: 593554-001 for a 55Wh or 593553-001 for a 47Wh battery. Search the part number on google shopping or ebay for the best price.

How long does the internal battery usually last?

I keep seeing posts about the date going back to 1969 so I'm wondering what timeframe am I looking at to replace the "watch" battery. I bought my PB back in '04. Thanks.

Until recently, I thought the PB backup batteries simply ran down. While visiting the Apple Store in Portland OR a couple of weeks ago, I mentioned this to one of the techs and he said the PB battery was rechargeable like the ones in the older G3 PowerBooks.
I was given a 2003-vintage PB17 recently that had been in storage (off power) for about six months. The backup would not support the time needed to change from battery to corded operation when running down the main battery. After having the PB on wall power for several weeks, I tried it again and the backup battery was able to allow the power switchover without the computer shutting down completely.
Based on a sample size of n=1, the backup could be rechargeable. My big grip is that the batteries are hard to find and darned expensive. Too many offered online are sold as "used." If it's not rechargeable, what's the point of a used battery?
Even rechargeable batteries have a finite lifespan so, if shopping for one online, get assurances that it is not used. I still have concerns about "new" batteries like this. If Apple has not made new parts recently, then those from inventory could be almost as old as the one you're replacing.

yes, there is a solution. You can do this both in DT or in RT using the APIs.

Tecra S2 - Can I change the mainboard battery?

I have a Tecra S2 and it appears that the motherboard battery may be dead. I have removed the motherboard and it appears that the battery is soldered in. Is it possible to replace the battery or do I need to get a new motherboard, and if I get a used motherboard am I likely to find that its battery is stuffed as well?
I dont want to take it to service centre if it cant be fixed because they charge like wounded bulls here, I will take it a service centre if the battery can be changed

As far as I know the soldered battery can be recharged as suggested by C3PO.
If the battery cannot be charged due to a malfunction then you will need a help from an technician.
There are different motherboards on the market some batteries can be removed and some are soldered as you have suggested in the posting
I your case I doubt you would be able to remove this RTC battery
PS: a new motherboard is very expensive. Its one of the expensive notebook parts beside the LCD screen so you should consider this before you would replace the mobo.

Why is it possible to change the internal bank, but not the account

In a FI Document, the filed BSEG-HKTID (bank account) is not changeable, while the field BSEG-HBKID (home bank) is changeable on a customer line.
The two field are in the same group for field status management: I checked both the posting key and the account field status, and both the field are optional and displayed. The modification rules also allow for the change of HKTID, without restrictions, but the field remain locked.
The result is that it is impossible to change the home bank on the transaction.

I guess you set document chang rule in OB32. But if you want to change BSEG-HKTID Real Estate have to be active, refer to note 953374.
