Changing the label name

Hi all,
I am trying to change the label name and the text in text view, when i do the changes in development system its changing, but when i transport the changes to testing system the changes does not reflect, i tried resetting the OTR buffer, still it doesn't work for me.
Help me in this.

Yeah i do have a transport request, and the changes are captured by the request,
it does not show any error in import log,
but i solved it, i just deleted the label ui element and then created new, by doing this i got what i want,
but i really dont know why its not changing when i change just the name.

Hi,
it looks like you want to change the names of the partner functions.
You can do this in the customizing, for example using SPROScenario Specific SettingsService Desk-Service Desk--Partner Determination Procedure (This one works for both ChaRM & Service Desk).
The standard procedure in your case would be SDCR0001.
The recommended way is to define your own Z partner functions and assign them to your own Z Partner Determination Procedure, which you have to replace in the configuration of your transaction type.

Change the label names in Shopping Cart for LATAM countries..

Hi Gurus,
We are implementing SRM for LATAM countries. The portuguese & spanish language here are different than those in Portugal & Spain.
The translations that are coming for these countries are different than what SAP as a standard is offering.
In view of this, to list some of the issues as below -->
The word u201CSolicitaru201D (which means Order in English) they want to replace it as u201CEnviaru201D, this is more usual in the LATAM spanish language to send for approval.
The other one is u201CTartaru201D (which means Edit in english) they want it to replace with word is u201CEditaru201D.
Can we change these label names without affecting the Portugal & Spain translations which the user there are already fine with.

Hola,
You can do it in the component configuration;
-Goto se80 to the component FPM_OIF_COMPONENT and configuration /SAPSRM/WDCC_FPM_OIF_SC_PROFNL (or what you want, you can see it in technical settings in the portal)
- Choose "Start Configurator" and change
- Choose your button and change the label in the field "Identif"

Changing the label name in a label based menu

Hello,
In my current dashboard, i have been forced to change the front page label name in a label based menu quite late on in the design. However, this has consequently resulted in the front page not showing up until after I have clicked the mouse. Previously the front page just showed automatically. Has anyone had this problem before?

Hello both, i managed to solve this issue by linking the label based menu to entirely new cells. This is not ideal but at least it saved me having to re-do a lot of my work.

What determines whether the Label name and/or Caption appears in the context help window but in other cases, both the label and caption appear in the context help window?

I am trying to polish an application, and find that I cannot seem to reliably control which of the label or caption text appears in the context help window because I don't understand what rules are in place to determine which should appear. It seems like if I reate a named constant, then use it's right click menu command "Create Indicator" I get a control with only a Label (as long as I don't add a caption). This then appears in the context help window as the label name followed by the description text (after entering some description text). But if I add a caption, the label name is shown in bracket
s which is a 'feature' I would like to avoid, because I have certain controls where I would like to use a descriptive variable name on the block diagram side without using so much space on the front panel. It seems like there is no way to avoid showing the Label name in the context help for a control/indicator. Is this true?
I thought the purpose of having a seperate caption was to make the text that appears with a control programmatically controllable, but if that control is not extended to what appears in the context help window, it limits the usefulness of the caption and forces me to re-consider some Label names. However, the problem goes deeper than that because then even when I make the label and caption exactly the same, or if I delete (via a select caption text-backspace or select caption text- delete key .. sequence) the caption for a control, the label name in the context help window still appears in square brackets!

Thanks for your help, actually that option works for the total displayed as the latest row, I mean the label for the total row. However, for the total column, the name stays as the same as the measure label.

Changing the Instrument Name in Score View

I've modified the Orchestral Template to create my own desired orchestral set up and changed the track names of the instruments and also applied these new names to their corresponding regions but in score view the old names (provided by the template) are still the ones that show up. I've had this problem before when not starting from a Logic template. How do I change instrument names i score view?

I too could not rename the actual Midi Instruments in Score View - short of going to the Midi Unit/Environment and bringing up the page with their actual names and changing them ( which I dont want to do).
There is indeed an issue here if you want rename a Midi Instrument from say 'pop piano' to plain "Piano" in Score View and you do want the name on the *actual score* - it would be great if Score View could do this.
However, Logic gives lots of opportunities for different names on the actual score.
One thing that is not perhaps clear to the original Poster is that in order to do this, the best way is to Create a Score Set from Selection and then Double Click in the very top of the Inspector. This brings up all the actual name boxes. You can see the original Instrument name ( ie mid Pop Piano) and then you have the option for Full Name or Short Name which is selectable ... elsewhere in Score Settings> Names and Numbers> Instrument Names

In answer page and exactly in the left side where we have "Catalog/ Dashboards /Manage Catalog and folders" is it possible to change the label of "Catalog" to something else
I tried to change OracleBI\web\msgdb\customMessages\catalogsysmessages.xml.
<WebMessage name="kmsgCatalogSysCatalogTab"> <TEXT>Catalog</TEXT> and restarted the presentation server but nothing has changed.
Any one knows how I can do it?

finally i got answer for your thread after several minutes text search in messages folder
go to *<BI HOME Folder>:\OracleBI\web\msgdb\l_en\messages*
open pickertabsmessages.xml file
You find the *<WebMessage name="kmsgPickerTabsCatalog"><TEXT>Catalog</TEXT></WebMessage>* tag,
now, in place of Catalog in between TEXT tags, you change the name that you want and restart presentation service

I 've just checked my webbeans and the COLUMN_NAME_LABEL property is not use by the EditCurrentRecord, FindForm and RowsetBrowser webbeans.
I had the following line to my custom EditCurrentRecord, FindForm and RowSetBrowser.
So I can set Column display name ones for each webbeans.
It's better than do it with different methods for each webbeans!!!!

In the ViewCurrentRecord something was done but with errors. Oracle Developers used getName() method instead of getColumnName()!!! So I rewrite it.

The 'splash' screen might be of interest to you.
Here is the quick description from the FAQ.

Section 3.5 of the JNLP Spec. has more details on using a splash screen for an application.
(But if you mean changing the very first screen seen when downloading an application the first time, the answer is 'no'.)

By the way - now I review your question, I note you stress 'while jars are downloading'.
There is another strategy you might take. Mark most of the application jar's as 'lazy' download, get the main GUI on-screen quickly, then use the JNLP API's DownloadService to fetch the rest of the jars, after the application is running.
This has the advantage that, then we can have complete control of whatever is shown on the screen during the bulk of the downloads. We might show ..a 'splash screen', or a dialog with the application name on it, or a progress dialog, ..or any combination of the three.

Changing the label of TOC to another language in Captivate 7

I am using Captivate 7 and created a number of English Projects. I have translated these English files to French (by exporting/importing captions), changed the voices, etc, etc. All is now in French in the project except the title of the Table of Contents when enabled. I have already changed the labels in the table of contents for things such as Slide Title, Duration, etc by creating the TOCStrings.ini file and copying it to my root folder - that works as described in other posts/blogs. However, I am unable to change the Heading/Label of "Table of Contents" to French.
Is the TOCStrings.ini file the place to change the label of Table of Contents to French? If so, what string would I add to the file to make this change happen?
Can someone please let me know where the change can be made (if not in the TOCStrings.ini) or if the change is even possible?

If you enter data in the Info fields of the TOC, the indicator 'Table of Contents' will automatically be replaced by the Title field.

This incorrect name appears to be the "Full Name" setting of the email account, but when modifying the properties for the email account in Mail the field for modifying the "Full Name" setting is disabled, not allowing me to make any changes.

my Apple ID used to have my Dad's name because of the billing issues.. now is changed again to have my name, but i keep seeing that my account on icloud.com still says my dad's name, so if i try to send an email through there it says my dad's name and my email address instead of my name...
how can i change the name that appears linked to my icloud account? (note that as i already sayd my Apple ID has my name now, i jsut want to know why is not my name in my icloud account?)

How can I change the "short name" of my account?

I want to change the short name of my account because when my dad bought this computer for me he set up the account with his name as the short name and it has been bothering me ever since.
When I go to system preferences and then accounts my account is listed and when I click on it under password I am able to change my name, but not my short name because it is greyed out and cannot be clicked. Is there any way to change the short name on my account? I can't even delete my account and make a new one because the account delete button is greyed out when I click on my account.
Also, I went to my home folder and changed that from my dad's name to my name. This has reset every program on my computer to default settings! For example when I open my Safari browser a message pops up saying a keychain cannot be found to store Safari and asks me if I want to restore default settings.
So pretty much I've tried to change the short name on my administrative account, I reset everything to default settings and my short name is still my father's name. Can anyone help me out here?
