Changing the password warning message
The password component of our credit card statement comprises of upper case alphabets only. However, if i enter an incorrect password, it gives us a warning message that "Please make sure your caps lock is not on by mistake". This is an incorrect message for us since the password works only with the upper case in our scenario. Please help in changing this warning message while trying to open the PDF. Am also attaching the screen shot.
This is just a general 'incorrect password' warning, with a suggestion for a very common mistake. I don't think the checking mechanism actually checks for upper/lower case characters.

Is there a way to change the Pending warning message
I am working on an enterprise wiki site collection, and for the versioning setting i defined that the content requires approval, and any user can see the pending pages. so when users add/edit a wiki page they will get the following message at the top of
the page:-
so my question is how i can modify the message text, because i defined that any user can read the pending pages, so the default warning text become misleading "Visitiors can not see this page until it is approved.."?.
so is there a way to modify the warning message ?Changing that message would change it everywhere in the farm, which is probably not what you want. I would suggest creating a short JQuery script that executes on page load and swaps out the message in the DOM to what you want the message
to say. That way you can do it only within the context of your Enterprise WIKI.

so is there any helping links to write such a jQuery ? as seems this is a bug in sharePoint , as the warning message will not be consistent with the versioning settings (if we specify to allow all users to see pending contents!!) -
I purchased an iPod touch for my husband for Christmas. I am trying to set it up and using his email address but a message says his email is already in use and if we want to use it we must change the password. we did that and it still won't let me do anything. Any ideas on what could be wrong?
delete the email account and try again

I am receiving a message that my ID has been disabled, and I followed the steps to change the password, but still receive the same message. Cannot access app store or do updates.
In what way are you receiving this message? It is very common to get an email telling you that your ID has been disabled, and asking you to confirm all your details so the sender can steal your identity online.....

I have been trying to download items from itunes store, but keep getting the error message "your Apple ID has been disabled. I changed the password and updated billing information, but still get this error message. This involves free apps which I was trying to install.
I am having the same problem. I went through the process to have the ID unlocked (Changing password etc.) and was able to log in here on the website to post this message. Why am I still getting "Your Apple ID has been disabled" as a message after verifying the account here and signing in and out on my Device. This has been issue on my Ipad as well.
Thanks. -
I downloaded a book to my computer when i go to transfer it to itunes i get a message that says Could not authorize this computer because either your user name or password are invalid. Help. I have changed the password and still the same message.
Ok....so I have found a work around....if not a complete solution.
I'm not sure if deleting your music, uninstalling ITunes and reinstalling and adding your music back will actually affect it but I tried it again. Started from scratch.
I checked the box for "Manually manage music and videos"
Then I moved my music to phone via drag and drop, usually just boxing a row of albums at a time.
I went back into my Iphone and began the sync. The message popped up, "1 Item could not be synced" and the sync stopped. At that point, I just clicked sync again and it started back up again. It took a few go's but eventually I got all my music on my phone.
Ironically enough, the only songs that wouldn't sync were songs that I had actually purchased from Itunes....kinda odd -
So my stupid mum decided to change the password instead of waiting for me to get up -_- and now I have lost all my iMessages that were very important and I can't find them I recently tried to back all my iPod up to my laptop but I had a look and couldn't find anything to do with messages can someone help
You only way is to restore from backup if you have backed up after the Messages were on the iPod but before you "deleted" them. iTunes only retains the last backup.

Remove an iOS device or Mac on which you can’t turn off Find My iPhone
If you can’t turn off Find My iPhone on the device, turn off the device so it goes offline, then remove it from Find My iPhone on iCloud.com.
Note: If you have an iOS device, you can also remove your device by first erasing it—just follow the instructions below to remove a device you don’t have. You can later restore the device from an iCloud or iTunes backup.
Turn off the device.
Sign in to icloud.com/#find on another computer with your Apple ID (the one you use with iCloud). If you’re using another iCloud app, click the app’s name at the top of the iCloud.com window, then click Find My iPhone.
Click All Devices, select the offline device, then click Remove from Account. If you don’t see Remove from Account, click All Devices again, then click the Delete (x) button next to the device. If the device comes online again, it will reappear in Find My iPhone. To make sure your device doesn’t reappear, turn off Find My iPhone on the device (follow the instructions above to remove an iOS device or Mac), or if you have an iOS device, you can erase it, then remove it (follow the instructions below to remove an iOS device you no longer have). -
Someone used one of my two gmail accounts to send emails to both of my gmail accounts and one of my yahoo accounts - using all my contacts on the three accounts - saying I was in Scotland and needed money, please send it. I have changed the password on my other gmail and the yahoo accounts but the email account used to send that message to all my contacts I can no longer access, appear to be locked out. Even the security question is different than the ones I established. A friend did respond, was emailed back that I as at the Raddison Hotel in Edinborough and he called that hotel to be told I was not registered there. So - what do I do now? I've been told by yahoo that is it a browser problem. I have not heard back from google. Help!
I gave in and am now using IMAP but I still find the behaviour a bit wierd...

My iPhone 4 screen shattered so I had to buy a new one. I backed up my shattered iPhone to iTunes so that I could restore my new one. When I went to restore it, it said that I had an incorrect password although I know it was right. I tried changing the password and it still told me that I had an incorrect password. So now my new phone has lost all its pictures, its music, its apps.... is there anything I can do to get my phone to restore?? PLEASE HELP!
If you can't get the password correct, you CANNOT restore from that backup.
However, if you've been using your phone as recommended by Apple, there should be minimal data loss.
Your iTunes library is on your computer, so you can synch all your apps, music, movies, ringtones, etc, on to your new phone.
Similarly, contacts should be synched to Address Book, Outlook, or a cloud service for you to easily synch back to your new phone.
Pictures taken from your old phone and not synched to your computer are lost, but you would have been synching those photos to your computer frequently as recommended. Other photos that you synch TO your iPhone are still on your computer.
You won't be able to get text messages back. -

You can no longer change the password
Good day!
I have a problem on a Netweaver 2004s BI server.
When a user tries to change his password at the logon screen, the error message : "You can no longer change the password" appears.
To clarify, user types his current user id and password in the logon screen, then clicks the "New Pasword" button. Then immediately the "You can no longer change the password" appears.
This is not similar to the message that says you can only change your password once per day.
Any help would be much appreciated!
Regards
DerikAh.. that was interesting.. actually you wouldn't know about these errors which do not give u a clue.. in the right direction unless you have faced the problem. Good that the problem is resolved.
Its more quicker to actually help, if you have access to the system.
This error could have been easily sorted out by checking system log entry and audit logs or SUIM.

Trying to change the password on a disc image
I am trying to do this through Disc Utility. The password is not saved to the Keychain. When I select the image and go to Images/Change Password the 'change' button is greyed out in the finder window for any image I select.
Richard
For some reason changing the password from Disk Utility > Images > Convert. (be sure you name the image with a different name for the duration of the process otherwise you will get a "Resource Busy" error message). When you choose convert enable the encryption option and re-save the image. When done you can rename it to its older name in the finder. -
Where is the field for changing the password?
Hello. I went to my control panel today and I can't find any field for changing my password. How do I change? Where? Thanks.
Hi, I am logged in and I can't see any "Account" link
in the upper right side of the page. All I can see
are the Sign out, Your Control Panel, Search and FAQ
links. I clicked on "Your Control Panel" link and I
see I can edit my Handle, Name, Email, etc. but I
don't see anything related to password. Plus, there
is no "Change Password" link in the upper right side
of the page under the "Log out", or the "Sign Out"
link.I agree that Oracle could have made it a bit more explicit. Instead of
To change your password, make sure you are logged on and click the "Account" link in the upper right side of the page.
they should have said
To change your password, make sure you are logged on and click the "Account" link in the upper right side of this page. (This page = the one you are reading when you see the FAQ about changing the password.)
I have to admit that it is strange the Account link appears on every OTN page, every Education.oracle.com, every www.oracle.com page ... but not on a forums.oracle.com page

I am new at using an Ipad. My Ipad was connected to my home wireless. I changed the password on my home router and now I do not know how to change that password on my I Pad. Can someone help me?
Tap settings on your iPad
then tap Wi-Fi
click on the blue arrow which is next to the network
a new section will be opened
it will display the router settings and all ( you dont have to deal with it)
then tap forget network at the top
go back and tap your network
iPad will ask the password of the network just enter the new password and you are good to go
if a message appears unable to connect just go back turn Wi-Fi off then start it again
and try connecting to it again
i hope this will help you if not reply me and ask me for more questions.......do reply if it worked
