Changing the Skin

A long time ago the info on how to change the photoshop elements background "skin" color from the grey to black. I can't find it anymore so I was hoping someone could help :)

I would not recommend changing it - neutral grey is the best background colour to use for colour images. But, if you must ...
Set the foreground colour to be what you want to use. Select the Paint Bucket tool. Shift/click on the background.
BTW, I believe that the default is 192/192/192 grey.

  • How to change the skin dynamically

    Hi
    I have six projects in my application.so each project has trinidad.xml file for Skin configuration. My problem is if I changed the skin at one project it should reflect in all other projects .
    When I moved from one .jxpx in a project to another one .jspx in another project within the application the skin need to be set in Trindad-config.xml file
    Can u plz post your ideas?????

    Thanks for your reply Frank,
    Actually Im following the steps you have mentioned,
    1.I used selectOneChoice in a .jspx file in the 2nd project to set the skins in the database using the managed beans
    2.In the managed bean itself I tried to set in the trindad-config.xml file by setting in the following EL #{sessionScope.skinFamily} and used to refresh the page by redirecting to that particular URL.I have given the following code used in the managed bean
    String skin;
    public void changeSkin(ValueChangeEvent valueChangeEvent) {
    this.skin = (String)valueChangeEvent.getNewValue();
    int result = 0;
    CommonAppModuleImpl appModuleImpl =
    (CommonAppModuleImpl)BackingUtils.getApplicationModuleForDataControl("CommonAppModuleDataControl");
    result = appModuleImpl.updateSkin(this.skin);
    FacesContext context = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
    if (result == 1) {
    ELContext elContext = context.getELContext();
    ExpressionFactory ef =
    context.getApplication().getExpressionFactory();
    ValueExpression ve =
    ef.createValueExpression(elContext, "#{sessionScope.skinFamily}",
    Object.class);
    ve.setValue(elContext, skin);
    } else {
    System.out.println("*****Skin value did not change in DB*****");
    String currentView = context.getViewRoot().getViewId();
    String actionUrl =
    context.getApplication().getViewHandler().getActionURL(context,
    currentView);
    try {
    ExternalContext eContext = context.getExternalContext();
    String resourceUrl = actionUrl;
    eContext.redirect(resourceUrl);
    } catch (IOException ioe) {
    System.err.println("Problem trying to reload the page:");
    ioe.printStackTrace();
    3.While Im moving from some1.jspx file in the 2nd project to some6.jspx file in 5th project,
    I used the following steps,
    In the beforePhase() of the some6.jspx, I called a managed bean and retrived the skin value from the database and set it in the EL but It will not reflect in the trindad-config.xml because when we hit any URL in the project then only the xml files configured.
    But while Im trying in the __onLoad()_ in the pageListener controller class_ it works.
    this works fine..
    this works fine..
    this works fine..
    But now my problem_ is In my some2.jspx file in 2nd project Im using four panelBox ,in these panel box they used to call the some4.jspx file in the 4th project as inline frame by some URL[] methods.As a beginner I dont know about that.can you please give me Idea about this method
    the follwing InlineFrame is used in the panelBox
    <af:inlineFrame id="iframe1"
    shortDesc="#{bindings.PanelTitleList.items[1].label}"
    source="#{url[bindings.PanelUrlList.items[1].label]}" //please note this source url[] method
    styleClass="Panel"
    partialTriggers="refreshLink1"/>
    can you please give me information about this url[[] method
    Thanks in Advance,
    Felix

  • Can I change the skin of the interface?

    Congratulations Apple on your new phone and watch.
    I've been using your products for over 25 years now
    However...
    At one of the firmware upgrades, Apple chose to change the user interface in my iPhone to something that can only be described as minimalistic. The effect on my connection to my phone was that I became totally lost in the new interface.
    My first impulse to this change was to throw the phone out of the window of a very tall building.
    But since I had just shelled out USD 1000 for it I decided to hang on and try to get used to the desert in my phone's interface.
    About a year later I still feel the same and now the desert is spreading to applications on my computer as well. The new version of calender is really giving me the creeps. If this stuff wasn't so expensive the tall building would indeed be a very compelling option.
    After Google maps decided to have problems finding the server it wants to connect to, my use of the phone has shrunk to making phone calls and taking the occasional picture.
    ===
    So, is there any way to change the skin on the interface to something more comfortable?
    There is by far to much white in the current approach.
    TIA
    Hans

    And since I seem to be unable to edit my reply as well I'll repost my reply.
    I know...
    I've been on this forum or its various incarnations for over 20 years.
    My question is indeed addressed to the users of this forum and not to Apple.
    And since I can no longer edit the original message I'll rephrase:

  • Want to change the skin of tab , where i need the Graident mix to be used .

    Hi
    1. want to change the skin of tab , where i need the Graident mix to be used ... is it possible ?
    2. how to use Cool Animations( Fading of Old Panel to New Panel) while switching to next tab.

    Click the heading of the left-most column of numbers in order to reveal the current Play Order. When sorted on this column you can drag tracks up or down the list.
    When using another heading for sorting you can right-click on the playlist name and click Copy to Play Order to set an initial order which you can then manually refine.

  • How to change the skin at run time

    I am using jDeveloper 11.1.1.3 for ADF.
    My UseCase: i want to give a dropdown for skins. User should be able to select the skin at run time and it should be loaded. Please let me know how can i achieve it.
    Zee

    As per usecase, looks like you have the LOV containing the different skins.
    You can ensure that the application is skinned according to the selected value in the LOV.
    Ensure that you have a session scope variable that is set, whenever you change the LOV.
    For more details, look into this link http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E14571_01/web.1111/e10140/skinning.htm
    Thanks for your reply, but then...... what will be the skin loaded by default before the user selects the skin - drop down. Do i have to set something default before hand .?Define the LOV such that there are no empty elements. i.e the first element in the LOV is selected.
    In the Managed bean, if the session scope is not set, return the skin family for the first element. This would be the scenario when the application loads.
    Thanks,

  • How do I change the skin in the new message pane?

    The newest release just doesn't look right. The message To: and Subject: fields are harder to see at a glance. Is there a was to roll back the way it looks, graphically speaking, to the old look without rolling back to the previous version. I personally like a look that has more contrast.

    Yes it can be changed but you need to follow the instructions written by 'Anje' comment''' 8''' at this link:
    * https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1051638
    '''How to locate Profile folder'''
    make hidden files and fodlers visible:
    * http://kb.mozillazine.org/Show_hidden_files_and_folders
    In Thunderbird
    Help > Troubleshooting Information
    click on 'show Folder' button
    a new window opens showing profile folders - It will look similar to first image below.
    Close Thunderbird now - this is important - before you start to do what it says at the link.
    Then create a new folder called '''chrome''' - note the spelling. So it Profile folder looks like the second image below.
    Open Notepad
    Copy paste all the contents shown at the link into notepad and then save the file as''' userChrome.css''' (note the spelling) in the '''chrome''' folder.
    Restart thunderbird.

  • Aggregator CP4 Changing the skin and tips please

    Hi
    I have been creating a large CP4 project which is spanning over 80 slides. It has now become corrupt and I have followed advice on here to split the project into smaller chunks. I now have 4 smaller sections which I was intending to aggregate using the Aggregator tool.
    I was however disappointed that when the agg project is run it has now taken on the default Adobe skin and branding.
    Is there a way to customise this Skin for Aggregator?
    Also, I do not my users to be able to view a TOC. Is they a way of disabling this?
    Ultimately, I would like to publish to our LMS. Can anyone make any recommendations of preferences or settings when adding a agg project to an LMS. I remember seeing something about setting the way each individual project ends in an agg project.
    Any help would be grately appreciated.
    Many thanks

    Hi RKR,
    Homepage icons are taken from the current skin. If you duplicate a whole skin folder (and register your new skin so it can be selected in the user personalization), you will have a copy of the homepage icons which you can then modify.
    The tray pictures are picked in class CL_THTMLB_TRAY, method IF_BSP_ELEMENT~DO_AT_END. If you specify a type for the tray (most homepage trays have a specific type), the pictogram will automatically be picked from the current skin, via a call to CL_THTMLB_UTIL=>GET_PICT_INFO. If you specify a pictogram URL directly, then the pictogram will be skin-independent.
    I hope this helps!
    Best regards,
    Alex

  • How can i change the skin on ical in Lion? Its so ugly

    http://stu-bot.com/2011/07/21/lion-annoyance-6-fix-for-the-fugly-new-ical-appear ance/#comment-125
    Download iCal_fugly_fix.zip or iCal_fugly_fix_silver.zip depending on preference
    Quit iCal if you have it open
    Navigate to your Applications folder, Right click on iCal icon and select ‘Show Package Contents’
    Navigate through to Contents -> Resources
    (If you want to take a backup of the original ugly version take a backup of the ‘Resources’ folder first!)
    Copy the files from the zip archive you just downloaded to this location.  You’ll be prompted to replace the existing files, and enter your password.

    Hi - is this available anywhere else now Mobile Me has gone?

    I take photos of clothing for a on-line seller.  I have been using a Nikon D-200 which seems not to like the various blues of jeans. When I adjust the color of the the jeans, it of course changes the skin color. How could I isolate the skin for color correction. Any ideas would be much appreciated

    Subject: I have photoshop CS2, wanting to adjust the skin tones
    You've almost answered your own question.  You'll need to "isolate" the skin areas in your photograph(s).  This is a tedious process that takes some getting used to.  I tend to use the "lasso" tool, but you could use something like the "magic wand" tool.  If it's the jeans you want to manipulate, you'll have to "select" them separately.  I'd get the selections and then save them separately ( Selections > Save Selections ).  You might want to post this in the Photoshop section of these forums and see what they come back with over there.  Up until now, it sounds like you're color correcting the entire photograph, so nice blues, but not so nice skin tones.  Makes sense to isolate them from eachother, no?

  • How can I customize the skin of my AIR app

    Hi all,
    I have created an AIR app from my RoboHelp v7 WebHelp.
    Works and looks quite nice. Great. It's just that it did not use the WebHelp skin I created. It uses some default skin.
    How can I customize the skin of my AIR app? When I run the RH Packager for Adobe AIR, I get a dlg box come up, called, "General Options - RoboHelp Packager for Adobe AIR" and it offers me a few default skins, but it does not offer me the skin I made for my WebHelp.
    I also heard that if you learn FLEX you might be able to change the skins.
    TIA
    avi

    Heya,
    In order to change it alle just set it up as ordinary html webpage so heres and example of css:
    style.css - In the main directory of your app.
    body {
         margin:0;
         padding:0;
    #wrap {
         margin:0;
         padding:0;
         text-aling:left;
    #header {
         padding:2px;
         background:#000;
         color:#fff;
    #content {
         padding:1em;
         margin:0;
         background:#ccc;
    #footer {
         padding:2px;
         background:#000;
         color:#fff;
    Now for the html file:
    <html>
         <head>
              <title>My App</title>
              <link href="style.css" rel="stylesheet" media="screen" />
              // Scripts go here
         </head>
         <body>
              <div id="wrap">
                   <div id="header">
                        My Application title
                   </div>
                   <div id="content">
                        bla bla bla lorem lipsum.
                   </div>
                   <div id="footer">
                        Copyright'n stuff
                   </div>
              </div>
         </body>
    </html>
    If you need more help or examples I recomend that you go here and read some stuff on a lot of it all , you can also download theese samples it contains a lot of good stuff which makes it all A LOT easier to understand, the way I learnt most of what I know even though I am still missing some things.
    Hope it helped!

  • How could I change the heade in Flash Help

    Hi everybody,
    I am pretty new to this forum, that is I just began to probe
    with RH7, and it is going well so far, because of your help and the
    technical service's help from Adobe.
    I tried different layers to see which one is the most
    appropriate for my project, and the Flash is very interesting.
    However, I would like to put a logo or a text in the header
    (the coloured one), and I have no clue how, and what tool I should
    use.
    Is anybody familiar with Flash Help tweaking?
    Thank you,
    Bogdan

    I'm not familiar with the .fsw file type. Where are you
    finding that file? Is it named skin_background_tb?
    Try searching for skin_background_tb.fla in your project's
    source files. I think .fla is your best bet.
    It's been long enough since I've started a brand new
    FlashHelp project that I can't remember if the "FlashHelp Default"
    skin is included in the project automatically or if you have to
    generate the layout with a skin from the gallery before any Flash
    skin files appear in your source files. If you haven't done so
    already, open the FlashHelp layout dialog, select a skin, and
    generate the layout. Once you've done this, you should see a folder
    within the !SkinSubFolder! directory that has the name of the skin
    you selected. That skin folder should contain all the .fla and .swf
    files for the skin. Those .fla files are the ones you would edit to
    change the skin. (Whenever you edit a .fla file, you then export it
    as a .swf movie to that same skin folder, then generate the layout
    again to see the results.)
