Changing the text in Adobe Acrobat Professional 8

I have tried everything... and have spent hours over the past few weeks seeking help from google searches, to no avail. I am trying to fill out a PDF doc that has multiple sections in which text needs to be added. However, I cannot change the font or the color of the text. The only thing I am able to do is "size up" or "size down" the text on my typewriter toolbar. There are only four items that I can click in the Typewriter toolbar: The size up, and size down options and the two line spacing options. There is noting pertaining to font or color. Do I just have a version that is incapable of making the necessary text changes or am I missing something?

You'd need to add form fields to the document. It sounds like you're using the Typewriter tool now, which is very limited in terms of customization. You could try opening the Properties Bar (CTRL +E), though I can't remember if Acro8 lets you change the font/color of the Typewriter tool.
Otherwise, using the Form tools to add text fields to your document will give you the control you're looking for.

I was testing the preciseness & efficiency of Adobe acrobat x professional's doc conversion capabilities. As i have to take a document editing project in future which is going to need lot of pdf to word and vice versa conversions . What I did was I created a test word document converted into a pdf using a pdf maker in my word 2007 , Acrobat did convert the document from word to pdf keeping everything in the source file intact , However when i tried the other way round and attempted to convert the same pdf to word 2007 file format I lost my formatting ?So the font that I used to create the pdf are the ones taken from word 2007 which i believe is using the fonts that are installed in my computer. Any suggestions on how to preserve the formatting of the document after converting it from pdf to word file format?

Hi,
I had a similar problem and found help for it. Go to the "Advanced" menu and select Extend features in Adobe Reader. That will enable rights which may resolve your problem. If that doesn't work, there is a really helpful guy in here, Robert Levine. You may want to ask him directly.

I can't uninstall the Adobe Acrobat Professional 7.0 from my computer. It shows saying "C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Local\Adobe\Acrobat\7.0 Get last Error:5." It also can't be re-installed. How to do it?

If you still want AA7 running, then open Acrobat and use Help>Repair. If you cannot open Acrobat, then in Windows go to Control Panel>Programs & Features, select AA7 and repair. If you do uninstall AA7, it is likely you will not be able to successfully reinstall it without a new download. If you are to the point you have no choice but to complete the uninstall, then use http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html.

I own Adobe Acrobat Professional 6.0 for the Mac and no longer have my Mac machine. I would like to send my original copy along with the serial number / license key (24 digits) to a friend in Australia. Can I do this and will it install fine for him. I am not sure if the key can be re-used.

You can download Acrobat 9 Pro from: Download Acrobat products | 9, 8 and use the purchased serial number to activate the software.

Problem in creating PDF of Website using Adobe Acrobat Professional 8.

I am trying to create PDF file of full website using "Create PDF from Web Page..." option, in Adobe Acrobat Professional 8.
It is creating PDF but the page alignments/text/images alignments are lost and doesn't look good.
Can any one help to create the PDF same as webpage look and feel.

Acrobat 8's HTML->PDF engine is quite old and doesn't work well with modern web pages. I'd recommend trying the same page using Acrobat X (trial available) where the engine has been replaced and modernized.

Justify text in Adobe Acrobat 8 Pro

Hallo!
I have Adobe Acrobat Pro v 8.1 and I ask is it possible in Adobe Acrobat while editing justify text just like in Microsoft Office Word? I tried every options and solutions but nothing found to do that. I googled on internet about this topic and I found some picture (look below). On that picture see opened Adobe Acrobat (I don't know which version) with text toolbar just like in MO Word.
Which version of Acrobat could be with that text toolbar? Is it possible at all justify text in Acrobat?

To make it appear, press "Ctrl+E". It's known as the properties toolbar and can only be active when you interact with an element (e.g., form field, text box) that allows you to edit. The properties bar changes depending on what type of element is selected and the context.
When creating a new PDF from a blank page, Acrobat allows you to use it, but as yoiu've found, when you save the document and reopen, it is no longer available. This is a special case and it will not work to change the text on a page with other documents.
