Changing the user name

Hello
My Skype account is being used both on mobile and computer, but never Auto sign in.
Recently I have noticed that even if I am logged off, my account appear on -line from other Skype accounts. What can I do? I changed my password twice last month because I had a tablet with Skype app on it and it was stolen. I don't see an option on the site to log of all apps for the account, and not sure if it is possible for the account on that tablet to be stuck on on -line even after changing passwords. What do you think?

Changing the user name folder of administrator

I got married and changed my last name. I have a personal use macbook pro and I am the only account/administrator for my laptop. I have read many instructions involving creating a new administrator account and deletign the old one, but I wanted to know if there was any other way to change the name on the User directory folder. I changed my long and short name, and every other name on my accounts last year, but I have been unable to change the name on the directory. I have tried the chown -R /Users/old name /Users/new name in Terminal, but nothing happens after I enter my password. Can someone help? Thank you.

How can I change the user name on a macbook?

I don't mean the accounts, but the actual name of the user of the macbook.
ex. where it says "John Smith's Macbook".

There should be something called "System Preferences" and then "accounts" go to that. There you can change it.

In Preferences you can change it, but in MacHD/Users you can't, and the two were slightly different (Preferences: John Smith; Users: johnsmith) to start with. I need to change the MacHD/Users (the one with the house icon) so that my online backup service can recognize it. If it can't be done I'll have to re-upload 500 GB of data which will take a month and slow my computer to a crawl. ... and I'll just chalk it up to another head-scratcher issue with Mountain Lion. This all started when I had to do a clean install of Mountain Lion.

Hi,
You can do you requirement specific coding in the BADI definition CRM_BP_UIU_SAVE.
In this REGISTER_4_SAVE method needs to be implemented for setting the handler method as ON_SAVE_EVENT. Then in ON_SAVE_EVENT you can do the business logic.

Procedure to change the user name in Metalink Account (URGENT)

i've just replaced my friends position in a company, so i decided to change his previous metalink account to become my identities. (esp for the email address).
i've just successfully done the account verification but when i tried to access the metalink page, it's said that "account setup is still in progress. check back later". since i was in a hurry to create a new SR and i'm quite a newbie here, do you guys know, how long oracle will take to setup the new account ? since i'm just trying to modify / change the email address, that doesnt mean i'm changing also the whole identity, right ? because all the previous SR which already created by my successor is still fully needed by me.

i was wondering how to change my username. the one im referring to is the one that comes under the library icon. it is also the one that shows up under user when i launch my activity monitor application.
this is seemingly a different username that i use when i log onto my computer or verify changes.

HT204053 I changed my internet service provider and no longer have the email that is the user name for my apple id. Is this just anecdotal, or is it going to cause me problems in the future? I no longer receive any of the mail sent to that address.

At first I thought I had to change the user name on my apple id, but I guess that is not possible. If I want my apple id to be linked to my current email address which is a gmail, I guess I am basically creating a new apple id, with all the complications that brings, right?

Roger, thank you. I wish I had sent out this question a month ago, when I committed the folly of creating another apple id with my alternate email address. Since then, I had realized that I didn't seem to need it, hence today's post.
So now what do I do? Is there anyway to delete that unecessary apple id?
And it is even worse than that...the secondary address listed currently in our apple id is a mobile me one that my husband created, but never uses, never checks, and probably doesn't even remember the password for.

if so, select the ipod in the itunes sourcelist. click on it once, and pause for a second or so. you should then be able to type in what you please.

Hi All,
I have a batch job which is being cancelled as the reference user account is locked. I want to update the job with a new user.
How can I change the user for a cancelled job? I am able to change the user for a scheduled job (by right clicking the job >> Change) but not for a cancelled job.
I am getting the error: "<<Job Name>> cannot be changed due to its status" when trying to change the cancelled job.

change the user of a cancelled background (batch) job
1) Goto <b>SM37</b>
2) Select the cancelled job and goto menu bar select <b>Job</b> ) click on change.
3) Click on step tab
4) Select the job and click on change tab. Change the user name and save.
