CHANGING TIMECODE FOR QT EXPORT?

Hey,
A closed captioning company just asked me if I could export them a QT from my fcp project file so that the timecode in the quicktime starts at hour 1.
I understand what they want, i'm just not sure how to do this.
Any help?
THANKS!!!!!

You can set this in the sequence settings for your project timeline.

In File | Export | Media the Export Settings always show the wrong Output Name, from a project I did several days ago. If I change it for this export, the wrong path just comes back again for the next export.  I don't know how I accidently  got it set for the earlier project.  I don't see any way to set it. Could someone tell me where this is set?  I'm running PrPro CS4.

  • Export and import change document for user master data

    Dear Gurus,
I have two queries on change document for user master data:
    1. Are there any approaches to export and import change document for user master data?
We often do system copy from PRD to QAS for UAT and troubleshooting. Before system copy we export the user master data from QAS and then import after the copy process. We would like to keep the change document for user master data on QAS from being refreshed from PRD for security reason.
    2. Change document for Role change in QAS
When the role is created or modified in DEV and then transported to QAS, the role change document doen't include this change log. The role change document in QAS only records those role changes directly made in QAS.
Could you advise this is by SAP design or are there any approaches to record this transported role change  in the role change document in QAS?
    Thanks
    YBY

    1. Perhaps you want to consider a system copy to a "virtual system" for UAT?
    2. Changes in QAS (as with PROD as well) will give you the delta. They should ideally be clean... You need to check the source system.
Another option is to generate the profiles in the target system. But for that your config has to be sqeaky clean and in sync, including very well maintained and sync'ed Su24 data.

  • Exporting Sequence Timecode for QT Movie - Not Working!

    Hello,
I need to export a film I have been working on to a Quicktime file, but I need the QT film to keep the timecode in the sequence I have been working on. The film is going to a broadcaster in the UK, so I need the film to start at 10:00:00:00, with countdown leaders/colour bars appearing beforehand etc.
I have been trying to export a normal, self contained QT file (not using QT conversion) but every time I do, the QT film has a starting timecode of 0:00. I have adjusted the sequence settings so the timecode is appearing as it should in the FCP sequence. Am I doing something wrong or have I missed a step? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
    George
P.S. I can export to tape also, which I tried, again with no luck (TC starting at 0 again!) If any of you know of a method to export to tape while keeping the sequence TC please let me know!

I'm using Final Cut Pro 7.0.2.
I'm checking the timecode of the exported file both by looking at the timeline at the bottom of the QT movie and by viewing the movie properties on QT. Both the video and audio tracks start at 0:00:00.
They haven't asked for burnt in TC (this means actually having a timecode display burnt onto the film itself right?). They they just want the film as either a data file or printed to tape with the timecode settings they specified. So far I have been unable to do either.

    Hi all,
How to set a particular Field in table control either as display only or

  • How to preset the filename for an exported file?

    Hi all,
Generally, the exported file name will defaulted to report name. However, anyone know that can i change the exported file name to another specific file name which different as my report name? The exported file naming as following:- Let said i would like to export my report (dailyreport.rpt) into excel file and the exported file name as below:- dailyreport_<Report_Run_Date>.xls **<Report_Run_Date> will be a field which is retrieve from my stored procedure.

    Hello,
If you've not already solved this, let me ask a couple q's:
What tool are you running this report through for the export (it sounds like you're wanting to automate the process)?
Is it Business Object XI or Crystal Enterprise or simply manually exporting it using the CR designer program or...?

  • In Lightroom 4, is it possible to change the resolution when exporting to Facebook?

Is it possible to change the resolution when exporting a photo to Facebook using either the regular plugin or Jeffrey Friedl's plugin?  I can't seem to do it; I only have control over the image dimensions, not the resolution and the dimensions, as you can see in the screen shots below:
I have control over both when I export to my hard drive (or a flash drive, etc.), as you can see below:
I can't find the option to control the resolution when I try to export to Facebook.  Before I got Lightroom 4, I would create whole new low-resolution files of images I wanted to post online using Photoshop.  The image size settings I would use are a longest edge of 10 inches at 72ppi, and I would like to continue doing this.  If I can only set the longest side to 720 pixels (I can't even seem to set the longest edge to an inches value - I can only choose a pixels value) and not change the resolution from 300ppi to 72ppi, then my photos' longest edge will only be less than 3 inches long (right?).  Thus, I really want to be able to upload low-resolution photos to Facebook via Lightroom with the ability to change both the resolution and the image dimensions.  Any idea how to do it without having to export to my hard drive first?  Thanks!

    Rob Cole wrote:
I'd be inclined to set it to zero so it obviously doesn't mean anything
You can set it to whatever you like, and it makes no difference. Most of the time (depending on how you saved it), it will still open as "72".
When you save an image for web, the resolution is usually stripped from the file. It's simply not there anymore. That's probably what happens in the Lr facebook module, and that's why there's no entry for it.
But when you open that image somewhere else, that default of 72 ppi is assigned. Most apps need to know what to do with a file if asked to print it out. So there is a default, and that's usually 72, mostly by convention. With that default ppi, it prints out at a comparable size to what you see on screen at 1:1 display.
And when people see that, they think "hey, web images are 72 ppi". But they're not - that figure is just inserted there by the opening application.

  • Option for MAPI export destination missing in CRViewer

We have an application developed in C++ which includes the Crystal Reports XI RDC and previewer component.
The application is installed at a customer on a Windows Server 2003 machine. Users are working in Terminal sessions connected via Remotedesktop.
For all user accounts the CR report component in our application is working fine, especially they are all able to send documents using the MAPI option in the previewer's export function. Outlook Express is configured as the default mail handler.
There is one exception: One user doesn't have the MAPI option in the export dialogue box. We checked user rights and MAPI configuration: all seems to be the same like for the other users. Especially he also has Outlook Express as default mail client and it is possible to send documents via MAPI out of other applications (for instance the "Send..." menu item in MS Paint).
We investigated the situation with Process Explorer and found out that the "u2dmapi.dll" is not loaded when the report is opened in our application - in contrast to all other users. All other export format and destination options seem to be available for this user (and the corresponding DLLs are loaded by the application). So we believe the issue is related to the u2dmapi.dll which is not loaded.
What can be the reason? Any hint to find a solution is very appreciated!
    Thanks in advance!

Here are some results of my "ProcessMonitor-Session". I took a look what happens when I open the export dialogue in the CR previewer under two different accounts - one account where the MAPI option is available and the account of the user who doesn't have the option.
    1) There seems to be no difference when CR is browsing for the export DLLs: There is a "QueryDirectory" in the folder "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Business Objects\3.0\bin" with filter "u2d*.dll" and under both accounts the query finds the "u2dmapi.dll". So I'm guessing there is not really a problem with that DLL or its location.
    2) The only difference I saw (it's hard to compare all messages line by line because I got more than 3200 event messages only for opening a single modal dialogue): CR is also querying for the "win.ini" file in the user's homepath folder which is on another shared network server. Now I found out that the user with problems has no access to this folder while the other users have access to their respective home folders. (CR queries for "
server\users1\username\WINDOWS\win.ini".) Consequently due to the missing access rights Proc.Mon. says "PATH NOT FOUND".
I remember that the "win.ini" has an entry whether MAPI is enabled ("MAPI=1") or not. Is it possible CR assumes by default that MAPI is disabled in case it doesn't find the "win.ini" and therefore doesn't offer the MAPI option in the export dialogue? (On the other hand there is also a query for "c:\windows\win.ini" on both user accounts and this win.ini has the "MAPI=1" entry, but maybe the win.ini in the homepath has higher priority or whatever ???. In the end it's the only difference I can see so far.) Perhaps CR behaves here not the same way like other applications because - as I said in the first post - mailing via MAPI is possible at least out of MS Paint.
But well, that's a lot of hypothesis and perhaps the problem has nothing to do with the missing access rights to the home path. Anyway, I've asked now the server administrators of the company to configure the account of that user the same way like the other user accounts, especially to give him access rights to his own home path (crazy setup...). I'll come back with the results after they changed it (which can mean... next year... ah no... there are always exceptions from the rule and I always hope for them )

  • How to tace the change no for a certain BOM?

I have a BOM(bill of material).and from time to time, engineer like to change the BOM by using "Change Number" ,so it is clear in the menu of T.C cs03, you can find the "change no.",but this T.C is only down to the second lower level and not down to the lowest level,
For me, I want to export the whole BOM out and with change no. attached, then I can trace all change no. for this BOM
    Any advices are welcome
    helai

    Dear helai,
Your question is not clear, can you please clearly explain what are you looking in using Change number?
1.Using a Change number you can make BOM changes at single level in CS02.
2.Same Change number can be used for making various material's BOM changes.
3.If it's a Change number with release key, once if the release key is set for the change number ,then that
change number cannot be used for making any BOM changes.
4.Before setting the release key you can use the same change number for various BOM corrections.
    5.For reports check using T codes CC04,CC05,CC07.
Please check & revert back if you need any further assistance.

  • Save for web export crashing photoshop

    HI
In was wondering if anyone could help me.  I have written a code that edits images but i am having trouble with the save for web export everytime it gets to saving it photoshop just crashes. I have tried a few different ways of coding it but all of them end of crashing PS and i am at a loss as to what is wrong.
Here is the code that i am using:
set webFolder to (choose folder with prompt "Select the folder to link to")
                                            set webOpt to {class:save for web export options, web format:JPEG, quality:89}
                                            set theDoc to current document
export theDoc in webFolder as save for web with options webOpt
any help would be great. I have tried it on CS6 and CC, both of which crash.

You need to pass a full file path to the export command… Probably need to change the extension too.
set myFullFilePath to (path to desktop as text) & docName
export in file myFullFilePath as save for web with options myOptions

  • Title for Excel Export

    Hi all.
In BI 7.0, after executing a query, I can download the results to Excel and the description of my query name shows as the first row in the Excel sheet.
When I use this query in a template that also uses the tab item, the data is dumped to Excel but the name of my query does not show.  I have tried changing the Export command parameters to have a header but that seems to only apply to PDF downloads.
I've considered putting in a label item (or something similar) with the title in it,  to download to excel with the data, but I'd rather not if there is a simpler soultion.
    Thanks for your help.
    Jeff

    Hi Jeff,
when you execute a query from Query Designer, the web Template 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN is used. If you lookup the button group parameters there, you could see what and how it is exported to excel.
So, you have to add a text item to your web template and bind the text content to the query title. Then it will be exported to excel.
The parameters according headers, page format etc. is not used for Excel export.
    Look up [note 1178857|https://service.sap.com/sap/bc/bsp/spn/sapnotes/index2.htm?numm=1178857].
