why the **** cant i change the update options for videos on my ipod? i have a 5th Generation ipod and just lgot some vids for it but cant get them on the ipod!!! please help me!!!

In the object layers options dialog there a preference for what do to when updating the links. The default is to retain the choices you’ve made.
If, you’ve changed the layer structure you’re out of luck. There’s no way for InDesign to know what your intentions are and you’ll have to start from scratch.

I believe the issue is with the Apple ID that was used to purchase the App. If you download an App that was purchased under a different Appple ID then all updates will also be linked to the original purchaser's Apple ID. Your Apple ID is the the same ID as your iTunes, iCloud, etc. Some folks use different ID for the different Apple sites. No need for that One ID for all Apple Sites, and if someone else buys an App using their ID and they(you) download that App onto your device and that App requires an update it will ask for the purchasers Apple ID. This happens a lot when folks sell their iPad or give it to someone else and leave some purchased(free) Apps on the iOS device. You cannot change the original ID the App was purchased under. A suggestion would be if someone else has an App that you like but do not want to pay for use their ID or in the future have them gift the App to you.

I tried powering down and re-starting the iPhone (as suggested at http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1275). This seems to have cleared the "...not connected to the Internet" problem, and iOS 6.1 is now in the process of downloading.

Changing ipod mini updating option

My ipod mini repeatedly updates the same "selected itunes playlists" that I initially chose as an updating option. I am not able so far to select the "manual update" or update all songs and playlist. Additionally, experiencing the "blue screen, rebooting, re-logging in" process. Any suggestions/recommendations for correcting problems?

Use the instructions in this article to change the iPod's synchronization mode to one of the other two options, or create a new playlist and add that to the list of playlists to sync to the iPod.

Why is it that every time I run a Flash update I find my update options have changed?

Why is it that every time I run a Flash update I find my update options have changed?
It is getting irritating to keep having to click that I do not want to automatically run updates. I am tempted to just turn off updates completely.
Would it not be too difficult to keep the settings previously used?
I always like to be advised of updates so I can then select to run them.

Here are a few suggestions, but you definitely need to refer to the manual page that the previous poster suggested.
CREATE OR REPLACE TRIGGER DepartmentTrigger
AFTER INSERT Or Update ON Dept
BEGIN
INSERT INTO mytable VALUES(:new.Dept,'DEPT ADDED OR CHANGED');
END DepartmentTrigger;
The "Or Replace" means you can replace the trigger while you're developing without having to type in a drop statement every time. Just change and rerun your script, over and over until you get it right.
Adding "Or Update" or "Or Delete" makes the trigger fire for those events too. Note, you may want seperate triggers in different scripts and with different names for each event. You have to decide if your design really does the same thing whether it's an insert or an update.
:new.Dept is how you would refer to the changed vale of the Dept column (:old.Dept is the prior value). I changed the double quotes on the string in the VALUES clause to single quotes.

I am trying to update niphone and ipad to iOS 5 as some apps say is required. Get to settings, general and there is no option for softeware update on either device.

The Settings > General > Software Update option only appears when you have iOS 5+ installed, if you have iOS 4 then you will need to do the update via your computer's iTunes.
Connect the iPad to your computer's iTunes and copy any purchases off the iPad to your computer via File > Transfer Purchases. You may also want to copy photos and any important documents off the iPad as well e.g. via the file sharing section at the bottom of the device's apps tab when connected to iTunes, via wifi, email, dropbox etc - they should be included in the backup, but it's best to have a copy of them outside of the backup just in case. You can then force a backup of the iPad by right-clicking the iPad 'Device' on the left-hand side of iTunes and selecting 'Backup'.
Then start the update by selecting the iPad on the left-hand side of iTunes, and on the Summary tab on the right-hand side clicking the Check For Updates button

Need detailed instructions on how to enable " Check for Updates" option on the Firefox installation directory for Windows XP.

I have Firefox 2.0 (running Windows XP) and want to update it to 3.6, but the "Check for updates" option on the Help menu is grayed out and need to enable this option by changing permissions on the Firefox installation directory. I need detailed instructions on how to access the Firefox installation directory and change the permissions.

How to prevent Adobe from changing Update Settings?

Hello,
since many years, Adobe Installer annoys me with a popup telling me "IMPORTANT: Your update options have recently changed".
This leaves me three options and defaults to "Allow Adobe to install updates", which I do NOT want.
I keep setting this to "Notify me to install Updates" - but after each update, the window pops up again!
What can I do to prevent Adobe Installer from loosing its memory?

We are currently creating TOs for multiple deliveries and are facing user locking issue.
I would like your expert guidance on the use of option 3 - Delayed update at each confirmation of a TO item found in Shipping control per Warehouse.
I have the following question :
1. Is using this option the solution for locking issue that we are facing when confirming TOs for multiple deliveries?
2. Is the delayed update of the delivery done automatically by the system?
2. How much time after which the system tries to update the delivery?
3. In case of failure to update the delivery at the first instance, how many more times will the system try to update the delivery?
4. Are there any other configuration changes that we need to do, other than choosing option 3 - Delayed update at each confirmation of a TO item, for this solution to work?
5. Are there any complication that may arise due to using of this functionality?
6. Any other information that you feel will help us in using this option.

1. mostly yes, you may still see locking issues but the updates will happen when the locking issue is removed and LX47 runs again
2. this should be run via scheduled batch job
2B. changes/updates to the delivery will trigger an update that will be attempted when the job is run
3. a delivery that will not update will get stuck in LX47 and remain there (batch job running LX47 will continue to attempt updates until it is sucseful)
4. I am sure there are but without knowing your system I can't say what exactly
5. YES, when deliveries get stuck they often require manual changes to update. There are around 7 reason (at our warehouse) for a delivery to get stuck in the update tables.
for example: if a delivery level carton is packed to a shipment level pallet before the transfer order(s) associated with the carton are 100% complete the delivery will get stuck (requires unpacking the cartons and manual trigger LX47 to clear/repack)
(Co09) item availablity will cause all updates for deliveries with that item to fail if you are over promised on an item.
I am sure your challanges will be unique and choosing that option may require some small procedure changes to make it work (to fix any timing issues you might find)
In my opinion it works fine but you should be aware some one will need to check it periodicaly to make sure delvieries aren't getting stuck and clear as needed.

I already uploaded apps on Afaria client. After that I make some changes to the app and again uploaded the apk and ipa of Apps. For the users who already installed apps previously , got UPDATE option. But they face following error while updating app.
In a nutshell user cant update his app but he has to uninstall it and again download and install it. Can anyone suggest solution for this?

Hi Aditya,
After making changes to the project you need to create apk from it with the same certificate that was created for the first time. I believe that the android developer is creating new certificate each time when the app is updated, resulting in this issue.

If it's a first gen iPad then it should be update to iOS 5.1.1, if it's an iPad 2 (or 3) then it will update to iOS 6 (so you will lose the built-in YouTube app and the Maps app will change).

Adobe Bridge CS4 pops error when Update Option from Help is launched

when i m trying to Launch the Update from the help menu of Adobe Bridge it pops-up with a error messge instead of launching update.
The error says
Adobe Bridge
Bridge is not in a position to check for updates.
The cause of the error may lie in the fact that an Internet connection can be established or that you are logged in as a user without administrator privileges.

Please help what is the probable cause for this.
I have tried disabling the updateoption by
1) Adding the Enterprise DWORD value in registry HKLM\Software\Adobe\Updater
2) Adding the "Update" "Suppress" value in "Application.XML.Override" file while installing the CS4 Suite

Apologies I dont think I had made myself clear.
I am trying to package Adobe Photoshop CS4 which has Adobe Bridge as a component. As per the company standards, I am suppossed to be deploying this package & installing it using silent setup. Since this is a corporate environment, they do not want any auto updates to be enabled, as well as disable all menu items related to updates. Hence I had checked through the Adobe Support Site and followed the instructions provided by using the Adobe Deployment Toolkit and supressed the updates using the tool.
Inspite of following the steps mentioned in the Deployment Kit and the guides associated with it, I was unable to supress the Updates options that reflects under Help Menu for Adobe Bridge CS4. All the other associated programs like photoshop, Extend Scripts etc the updates are disabled. The problem seems to be only with the Adobe Bridge Update.
