Changing url's from Podomatic to My Website

Hi there,
I'm confused.
I have read the instructions to this topic but don't understand how to implement the change. I understand the change tag is <new-itunes-feed-url> which I need to put before and after the feed url, but which feed url the old one or the new one? I presume it's the new one in which case my host doesn't allow it, so how do I move my subscribers over. I was going to leave a podcast as suggested but, but well, how do I change my podcast feed with itunes.
My feed url at the moment is http://kiwicarioca.podomatic.com.rss2xml and my new feed is http://kiwicarioca-esl.com/?feed=podcast
My apple ID is http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=334757780
Can someone explain what I should do please? Many thanks....

Well, I guess I would start off with installing an Apache and configuring this one as a proxy to XE:
HTTPS with Oracle XE ?
Then you would have to modify the rewrite rules for achieving your result, e.g. check the example rules here (user friendly urls): http://www.ilovejackdaniels.com/cheat-sheets/mod_rewrite-cheat-sheet/
There are tons on information on how to use mod_rewrite.
What are you trying to achieve? Are you trying to change urls for calling stored procedures or an Apex/HTML DB application?

How do I go back into my registry and change a number for loading apps and websites from 20 back to ten?

I tried something suggested from a friend who said to go to a spot in my registry and change a number from 10 to 20, and this would help apps to load better, giving them more time. But now nothing will load because there is to much time taken. I need to find that segment of the registry and change the number back. When I went there, a little box popped up and said, "I will be careful I promise. "

I did the resetting preferences, still no help, still cannot play flash games on facebook like Indiana Jones, Cityville, and Pioneerville. I wish I could go back and change that number I changed from 20 back to 10. I would be playing right now.

Blocked from viewing my own website!

This morning my website went live via a GoDaddy domain name I'd purchased, my MobileMe account and iweb'08. All was working fine and I was merrily updating the site and publishing the changes. I was viewing my website using the latest versions of Safari and Firefox on my MacBook Pro and also via IE on my dad's PC. After about an hour of work on my site...Firefox and Safari suddenly started directing me to a GoDaddy parking page and not my website. However, I could still view my website on my dad's PC. I've just checked on my Dad's Mac too using Safari and Firefox on there and I can view it fine. So, why has my laptop seemingly been blocked from viewing my own website? Any ideas?

Hi Tom. Thanks a lot for the reply. I just went to check before posting and both browsers are now letting me view my site from my laptop. Maybe my IP had been blocked because I was viewing the site such a lot this morning whilst tinkering with it. Who know's?! I did also write to godaddy about it.
If it happens again, I'll be sure to put the url and .me details.

Hi Prashant,
Re-directing to another URL on load of page is a very simple piece of HTML code.Put this on the layout of page from where you want to re-direct to the other URL.

Here the important line is the 3rd line which begins with "<metas". The operation is "refresh" which means to "refresh" the current page with the information that follows. The content begins with a zero, which is the number of seconds to wait, and then the URL that you should be taken to.
So the above code would re-direct you to the http://sdn.sap.com page as soon as you log in.

F4M document contains errors - URL missing from Media tag

I feel like I'm getting close to finally get a live stream to work correctly in 4.5
I can see the streams being recorded in the following directories
     C:\FMSHOME\applications\livepkgr\streams\_definst_\liveevent1
     C:\FMSHOME\applications\livepkgr\streams\_definst_\liveevent2
     C:\FMSHOME\applications\livepkgr\streams\_definst_\liveevent3
Each directory contains five files: bootstrap ,control, meta, f4f, and f4x.
I have a single file called Event.xml in the directory: C:\FMSHOME\applications\livepkgr\events\_definst_\liveevent

As per your questions -
1. "I try to access the stream using the local player at http://localhost/hds-live/livepkgr/_definst_/liveevent/livestream.f4m" - This should be http://localhost/hds-live/livepkgr/_definst_/liveevent/liveevent.f4m.
     The name of the f4m is the name of the event you are referring to. In your case, the live event - liveevent is associated with all your three livestreams- namely livestream1, livestream2. livestream3.
2. "Do I need to create BOTH a 'manifest.xml' and a 'event.xml'? And do both of these files need to be in the event directory like below?" - Yes. If you are using mbr you need both these files at the exact place you mnetioned.
For simple single bitrate streams, mainfest.xml file is optional.
3. "If I need to manually create a manifest.xml file would this file and directory be correct?" - Yes, you are right on track. Create the file Manifest.xml and place it inside events directory at the place you mentioned.
4. "Do I need to use a absolute url in the streamid field in manifest.xml to resolve the error msg 'The F4M document contains errors URL missing from Media tag'?" - No. This is not needed. StreamId is not the content path, that is taken care of by the url path in the output manifest. You streamIds will be - livestream1, livestream2, livestream3.
After all this, I would suggest you to check one more thing. If you are publishing the way you mentioned above, there would be '.stream' files (For eg - 'MTYxMjAzMzAzMg=.stream' ) created in your events folder - "C:\FMSHOME\applications\livepkgr\events\_definst_\liveevent\". You should check that there are 3 and only three files formed. It somehow happens that when you publish and republish again without deleting these files, FMS creates multiple copies and tries to map each one to the actual content written at - C:\FMSHOME\applications\livepkgr\streams\_definst_\livestream1\ etc.. So there should be three files and each one should point to one of the streams directory. If there are more, please delete these files, delete your hds streaming content (if possible) and republish again the same way.
This should solve your problem. If still you are facing some issues, do let us know.

PHP URL Variable from Insert Record Issue

I have a very simplistic forum style website I have put together. Everything is functionally properly except for one aspect. The basic structure is a page that lists the existing threads (ie: ThreadA, ThreadB, and ThreadC). I have the name of these threads stored in a MySQL database table that is used to generate a repeating dynamic table to grow as the number of threads increases. If the user clicks on one of these links they are taken to a page that displays all of the comments pertaining to that thread. All of the comments are stored in another MySQL database table. I perform a query on this comments page to filter the information in the comments database by the thread name which is passed over from the first page via a URL variable. The link attached to the name of the thread in the repeating table that generates the URL variable is "comments.php?thread=<?php echo $row_threads['threadName']; ?>" This works perfectly, If the user clicks on ThreadB they are taken to the comments page where only the comments pertaining to ThreadB have been filtered and displayed. After the user inserts a comment form ThreadB the comments page reloads displaying the newly created comment.
Also, on the first page, the user has the option to create a new thread; call it ThreadD. The name of this new thread has to be inserted into two tables; one in the master threads table and one in the comments page any time someone adds a comment. (I'm sure there is a better way to structure this, but this was all I could figure out and for my purposes at hand it is sufficient). When the user is taken to this new comment page I have a query set up to pull the last entry in the threads table from the logged in user, ie the newly created thread topic. I have dragged this query to the page to make sure it is pulling the correct thread heading, and it works just fine. What I'm wanting to have happen is after the user enters the first comment I'm wanting them to be redirected to the main comments page with their new comment listed; giving the illusion that the new comment and existing comments page are the same. I'm trying to pass the newly created thread name, ThreadD, in the URL to the main comments page just like I do if they select it from the existing threads page. Under the insert record wizard I click the 'browse' button to select the comments.php page. I then select 'parameters' to add the thread name query as the URL parameter. The generated code is "comments.php?thread=" . $row_threadName['threadName'] . "". The user does go to the main comments page but the URL variable is not coming with it. What I'm left with in the address bar is ..."/comments.php?thread=&" , but it should be ..."comments.php?thread=ThreadD". I tried copying and pasting the URL link from the existing threads page since that works perfectly, and when I do that the main comments page shows up blank after being redirected from the new comments page. If I hard code this, for testing purposes, into the redirect after insertion section (ie: "comments.php?thread=ThreadD") everything works perfectly and the URL in the address bar of the main comments page is "...comments.php?thread=ThreadD&" I noticed the extra "&", but didn't give it much thought since the site is giving me the behavior I'm looking for. My question is, how do I get this new comment page to pass the variable of the newly created thread name to the main comments page to behave like it does when the thread is selected from the list of existing threads? I know it has to do with how the URL variable is either being generated or built from my query, or how I have it listed in the redirect section of the insert wizard, but I can't figure out where I am going wrong. Please let me know if there are any questions or if I need to clarify any aspect. Any and all help is always appreciated. Thank you.

Ok, so just to summarize so I am understanding this correctly. You have an ordering page for tires/wheels. A customer places an order for tires/wheels and the data is submitted successfully and this includes a symbol for measurement (in.). But on another summary page the symbol is returning a blank value.
If this is correct we need to see:
- First, the code that is inserting the symbol to the database table in question
- Second, the query and code where you are printing the data to the screen.

Make Firefox open URLs passed from external applications in new tabs

I upgraded Firefox (Mac) from 3.6.13 to 3.6.14 yesterday.
Since then Firefox does not respond to URLs passed from external applications, as it has always done.
The external apps pass the URL, FireFox is brought to the front, but no Tab (or new window) is opened.
Nothing else has changed. Firefox is selected as my default browser (in Safari Prefs) and there is only one copy of FireFox on my laptop,

Go to Safari Preferences>General. At the bottom you'll see an option for opening in a tab. Makes sure Tabs are enabled in your Tab panel.

Jquery to change head tags from cewp

it does this by wrapping my sp2007 subsite smdug in a framset so I was wanting tio get to the <head>...</head> tags
and insert a bit of html to change the favicon.ico see below. any idea how to hake this work???

This should be possible. For this., may be there are othe ralternatives. But for one I know is - following steps have to be followed.
a) irj is web component which is invoked by web container based on xml file(like our web.xml in servlet concept) . portal is match string. Hence first step would be to identify the xml file. b) modify this file according to your needs.
c) Restart portal server.
It should work.
Please take a backup of xml file before modifying it.
