Changing video in a template

I am trying to insert new video in the LiveType template Promo. Where the bikes are- I want to place my video but I can not get my video on the right track on the timeline - the new video keeps going to the first or last track. Thanks for any help.

Right click on the effect container for the tracks you want to replace. Choose Save Effect.
Repeat if there is more that one effect container.
When you add the new element, use command & [ to move the track higher or command and ] to move it lower. Add the effects that you saved, delete the older (bike) element.
Lower numbered tracks are in front of higher numbered tracks.

Bex iView does not show changes made in web templates

Hello,
I have a Bex iView that presents a web template which is exposed in two portals.
I made a certain change in the web template in portal A and I can see the change through the Bex iView in this portal.
I than transfered the change to portal B and I can see this change at the Web application designer's code when it is connected to portal B.
The problem is that I can't see the change through the Bex iView in portal B, it keeps presenting the old version of the web template. Also, if I preview it from WAD, which opens it in the portal, it shows the old version as well.
<b>I've already tried/verified the following:</b>
1. It's not a client related issue as it happens to all clients.
2. I have tried clearing both the client and the portal's pcd caches.
3. No cache whatsoever is configured in this iView's properties (Cache Level: None, Cache Validity Period: 0,0,0,-1, Allow Client-Side Caching: No).
4. When I run the iView in debug mode in the application integrator I can't see anything unusual I can think of. Also, I can see there that it points to the correct web template.
5. Retransported the web template from server A to server B.
What else can be done here? Any ideas...?

How can I change the application default template

Hi!
If I go to Application Shared Components | Definition | Template Defaults I can see the default page template used by my application. One would think that this is the place to change the default template if wanted to change it, but NOOOOOOO..., like many other things ApEx that's not the way you do it. (An example is the order of columns in an interactive report... all those up/down arrows in there mean nothing if ApEx sets the column default order differently from what you set in the query source or the report attributes section. Nope. You have to log into the application as a developer, edit the column order in your interactive report, and save your report as the default, and THEN you'll get your ordering right. What are these ApEx developers thinking I just don't know...)
I've search around the forums but I haven't found my answers (perhaps I haven't searched hard enough).
So, how do I change the default page template for all pages in my application?

...and once there, if you click on any of the templates looking for a way to set any of them as the default you'll be looking all day. You see the default column with check marks... why not implement the ability to check/uncheck defaults right there?
Alas, if you click on Edith Theme <no>, then you can set the default template. It's a little link to the right under Tasks.
My bad for still not understanding the way the ApEx interface works. It certainly isn't intuitive to me, but that's just me. Hopefully I'll get better.

I looked into this further, and reading an AVI file into LabVIEW faster than its frames per second won't be possible. LabVIEW could read in frames faster than 25fps, but because it will be pulling the available frame at that point in time this would just give you duplicate frames. If you want to be able to read in frames at faster than 25fps, you would need to speed up your AVI file before reading into LabVIEW.
There's a good shipping example to show how to read in from an AVI file, "Read AVI File.vi". You'll notice that they add timing to make sure that the while loop runs at the right speed to match up with the frames per second of the file being read. This is to make sure you're not reading duplicate frames.

Changes to BI web templates are not updated

Hello BI Experts,
I need to find a way to advise my portal resource on how to resolve a problem we are experiencing.
When we make a change to a web template, the changes are not updated and it appears that the old version is cached. The only way we can get the new template to show is to bounce EP.
Does anyone have suggestions where we can find the appropriate global settings to set the cache so that EP will retrieve new BI content as it is modified?

Hi Tom,
If there is some incorrect setting in the portal, the WAD templates does not get saved after the first Save action.
I am not sure of the setting which needs to be done. But I can provide you an alternate solution. If there is no other issue than the templates not getting saved, you can use this.
You can save your changed template using 'Save As' in a different name and then you can delete the original template. Afterwards, you can save this template with the actual name.

Have you tried swiping up or down on the screen in the photos app? When you swipe up or down, that cycles through the Photo, Video and Square modes in the app. The current mode appears in yellow type.
The screen on the iPad in photos App is going to look different that what you see if you click on the link that was posted for you above - that link shows what the screen will look like on the iPhone, but they are similar.

Is there a way to apply changes in default WAD template to KM Bookmarks?

Hi gurus.
WE ran into the following issue. We have bunch of portal favorites and km bookmarks saved by the users from our BEx Web Analyzer reports. Our Bex Web utilizes a default template 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN (renamed to ZZ..).
We have made some customizations to the default template. New queries show the changes, however km bookmarks and favorites saved with an old version of a template still show the old look of the WAD template.
Is there a way to somehow update km bookmarks and portal favorites to reflect the changes in the default template?

This is common issue to customized 0analysis_pattern templates in BI...
Use program - RSWR_BOOKMARK_ADJUST
Select your customized web template..
Web item to be removed - Specify the web item that you changed..
New web items should automatically appear...
Try this program on few affected bookmarks first and then run it wide across without bookmark selection. At one of my clients I adjust 200k such bookmarks.
Use with caution....test properly before you do...You dont want large number of bookmarks becoming useless...

Change Video Parameters with flash button

Hi can anyone tell me what code I would need to attch to my
button to change the adress of the video being played in my flash
video player.
Or can you tell me how i can create a playlist of videos and
use flash forward/ back buttons to skip between them.
So far i have a working player, i have found a way to change
videos by tweening, but that would take me forever to tween every

Sure. Specically what I changed from what DW automatically
did is- delete the !DOCTYPE W3C line #1, Condensed the html tag to
simply <html>, moved title up under head, the "Content-Type"
bit under title, got rid of the "/" befor the ">" in that line,
eliminated the entire style section and replaced it with the body
tag, indented the "}" under the if line. Which one, or combination
of which did the trick, I don't know. Several of those things I
don't really comprehend. I was just trying to match what I knew
worked. And then on top of that, I had to publish in Flash7. There
is some kind of new way to do it in 8, called ExternalInterface
which made me dizzy when I read it. Here's the final working code:

You cant. BC doesnt have a theming system like Wordpress or Joomla. The template is fixed and switching templates at this stage is not an easy feat.

Changing video frame width and height...

In Adobe Premiere Pro CS 5 I cannot seem to produce (output) a video larger than frame width: 720 and frame height: 480. The video is recorded in full HD 1920 x 1080p but after editing and adding effects in Premiere Pro CS5, the video changes to only 720 x 480.
1) Where are the settings in Premiere Pro changed to produce a video size of frame width: 1280 and frame height: 720 or even frame width: 1920 and height: 1080?
2) Is it possible to produce a video at 1920 x 1080 or is 720 x 480 the max?

For now I will be using the videos for youtube promos and viewing on desktops but if I were, I would more likely output to DVD. From what I understand it doesnt matter if I output 720 x 480 or 1920 x 1080 if it's going on youtube, however I would like the best quality video possible given that these videos wont be very long. (Elaborate on this if you can clear some stuff up for me).
Also, I may have mislead readers with my thread title "Changing video frame width and height." I guess a more accurate title would be "How to Change frame width and height of Video Output." Don't get me wrong 720 x 480 looks great on my desktop, but I would also like to output one at 1280 x 720?

Is the screen-rotation lock on? If it is then there is a padlock shown in the upper right by the battery icon. To turn off double click the Home button and fully swipe the bottom row fully right past the music controls and tap the padlock.

If you don't need your old custom template, save your changes with the same template name. It will tell you that this template exists and will ask you Replace? Say yes (if you do want to replace the old with the new!)
To delete unwanted templates, go to Finder > Menu > Go and press the option key. Your Library will show in the Go Menu. Navigate to Library > Application Support > iWork > Numbers > Templates > My Templates.
Delete any unwanted template by dragging it to the Trash or click on it then command-delete.
Having gone to all that trouble to find My Templates folder, right click (or control click) on it and Make Alias. Drag the Alias to any convenient place for a quick way to get back to that folder.

Thanks for the reply and as a work around method I used the Photoshop to do all the adjustments then export the video to iMovie to finish the final cut. I also have a problem to paint or clone on a blank video layer created in Photoshop. It tells me the time is beyond the target frame time, I don't understand the message. Cuepoints when changing video

I am making a video switching project which switches between videos, and resumes at the current time. The project requires the video to pause at certain points to display information. The cuepoints will remain the same between videos and the video length are exactly the same (videos show same scenario but at different angles).
So far I have made a working video player with one button to switch to another video. If I let the first video play throughout, all cuepoint events are triggered. If I change video before a cuepoint has fired, the cuepoints are no longer triggered throughout the whole video. Here is the code:

So if changeVideo() is called, the video changes and resumes in the correct place thanks to changeVideoNow(). However, the cuePoints assigned to mediaDisplay no longer fire. Any ideas why?

Hello Joel,
I determined that this problems happens when I change any of the camera parameters using the Mikrotron MC Control application before attempting an acquisition. ! was able to simplify the example even more by taking out Qt and writing to the console window. See the attached file for the new code.

I had to stop the execution of the application because it wasn't getting any frames at all. As you can see I was able to get the bytes per pixel and also see that the acquisition in progress was true. However there are no frames or buffers being captured. What else can I try for a test? The strange thing is that the LLGrab sample application still works after I modify camera parameters. I can't see any differences in the function calls or order of functions or compile and build settings.
