Changing xml to create graphic hyperlink rolover?

I use a text box created in Iweb as a hyperlink to other pages in my website. Is it possible to create a rollover effect by editing the xml file as discussed in the following thread:
http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=3288533
I have followed Max Karreth's Instructions on creating rollovers which worked great, except for when the site is viewed on machines running IE the text in the graphic images I created for the rollover are fuzzy.
Please let me know if the best way to create the effect I'm looking for.
You're help is greatly appreciated.
Imac   Mac OS X (10.4.9)

nope - there is no chance. sadly not! otherwise i would have integrated it into my templates
btw - you could change all the links into a rollover, but that would mean that ALL links are a rollover.
another way is to use iwebmore to edit the template files: http://iwebmore.ctrl-j.eu/iWebMore.html

  • Why is the url changing when I create a hyperlink?

    Very strange. I am copying a url from my browser to create a hyperlink in an email but when i click the link it doesn't work because the url is different. Here is the url that I copy and pasted:
    http://www.rightsideproductions.com/blogs/bd/2010/01/27/A-SERIOUS-GAME-OF-MINIAT URE-GOLF%3Ci%3ELEARNING-THE-CANON-7D%3C.SLH.i%3E/
    Here is the url that mail trys to open:
    http://www.rightsideproductions.com/blogs/bd/2010/01/27/A-SERIOUS-GAME-OF-MINIAT URE-GOLF%253Ci%253ELEARNING-THE-CANON-7D%253C.SLH.i%253E/
    It's adding a 25 before anything with a 3. Any idea on a fix?

    That is a bit amusing. The characters such as <> in the original URL are being encoded as %3C%3E. What is happening is that the URL encoding character % is itself getting URL encoded as %25 (Snow Leopard's Mail doesn't appear to do this, though).
    A workaround would be to use a website such as http://meyerweb.com/eric/tools/dencoder/ to decode the URL encoding to regular text, which will then be (hopefully correctly) URL encoded when you insert your link.

  • Problems in create graphical report from Oracle FSG xml output using BIP

    We are trying to create graphical reports from Oracle Financial Statement Generator (FSG) xml output. I personally have extensive exposure working with XML (BI) Publisher but until recently I have never tried to use the BIP charting wizard to create graphical reports from FSG xml output out of EBS 11i/R12.
    I created an SR with Oracle but they had to create an enhancement request for this issue. Does anyone know or have any idea on how we can accomplish this. The charting wizard pops up but the xml tags available do not make any sense.
    If anybody has any idea please send me an email at [email protected]
    Thanks,

    Try some thing like following

  • Creating Dynamic Hyperlinks in Servlet

    Hello All,
    I need to create a set of hyperlinks from the Servlet. These hyperlinks are dynamic based on the output of a program. I am not understanding, where I should place the referred HTML pages, while creating the hyperlinks. I tried many options by placing it somewhere else, or under the ROOT, or under the WebContent folder, etc. Many tutorials point to only static redirections. Should I make any changes in the web.xml file ? I am using Eclipse for developing and executing it in Tomcat server.
    Any pointers/help will be highly useful.
    -Saranya

    can you give an example of such a "dynamically created" hyperlink? Also give a more specific explanation of what you are currently doing, with complete path examples of where you are placing files. You need to give more details and preferrably some code that is misbehaving before people can tell you what is wrong.

  • How do I create a hyperlink to a specific section of a flash website?

    Ok, I have no experience coding in flash, I just want to
    create links to specific parts of a flash website (website that
    were created by other people, not that I am building). In other
    words, I just want to create the hyperlink that will open a certain
    section of the website - I'm not developing the site and I don't
    want to create links inside the site. Is there any way to do this?
    For example:
    http://www.lucasarts.com/games/fracture/
    is the flash site I want to link to. Wherever I navigate in
    the site, the address never changes in my browser. But I know it is
    possible to get a URL to a specific flash page, because I have seen
    some of the web admins post them.
    For example:
    http://www.lucasarts.com/games/fracture/?section=2&sub=5
    which opens a very specific section of the site. So is there
    anyway for me, an average computer user with no experience in flash
    coding, to get a hyperlink to open a certain section of a flash
    site, or at the least get my browser to display the specific URL
    (that is, the "?section=2&sub=5" part of the address). I use
    firefox, but am willing to try anything or any browser at this
    point.
    Thanks!

    My Flash sites use a section and subSection structure, and
    within the site I use the numbers to display specific areas. But
    it's done internally. I have no code that looks at a query string
    attached to the URL so supplying the numbers to my sites will have
    no effect. The example you give clearly does read parameters passed
    in a query string so if you know the correct numbers (and the param
    names eg 'section') then you can do it.

  • How to create a hyperlink in RTF template to navigate within the report

    Hi,
    I have an RTF template for one of my report and in that i want to provide hyperlink "Top" which will take the user to the beginning of the report. The output of the report is in HTML format which gets displayed on the browser.
    Since the report has some many tables and is very lengthy i wanted to provide an hyperlink which will navigate to the top at the end of each table.
    I formatted my report title as "Heading1" and created an hyperlink at the bottom of the table in the template and pointed it to the above heading. But still i am not able to navigate to the top from the HTML report that gets generated.
    I have the template and the sample xml file at the following shared location:
    \\Rakumara-pc\TO_XMLPUB_GURU folder.
    Please take a look and help point out what am i doing wrong.
    -thanks

    Hey Ramesh
    Thats cheating ... the forum is meant for customers not O developers ;o)
    Can you send your template link (I cannot get into your PC) to the xmlp ML and we'll help there.

  • How can I create a hyperlink directly in the navigation menu using iWeb09?

    I would like to add a URL to an external page in the navigation menu of my website using iWeb09. I have not been able to change the URL automatically generated by iWeb09 for each new page. The best I can do is to select text or an image that I want to link to the external page. I would rather create the hyperlink directly in the navigation menu. Is there a way of doing this?

    Try this...
    Create a blank internal page named "Link" (actually you can name the page whatever you want.) Then in that "Link" page add an HTML Snippet with the following code:
    <script type="text/javascript">
    parent.window.location = "http://www.externalpage.com"; // change this to your own URL
    </script>
    ...Once published, clicking on "Link" in iWeb’s navbar will immediately redirect to the external page. (Thanks to Cyclosaurus for the code).

  • Can't create a hyperlink!!!  Help.

    I've been trying to create a simple hyperlink in my document about 30 times today, and nothing worked!  I did it once correctly, on another document, but lately, nothing.  I have to get this done, and I'm following Adobe's documentation, and I can't figure it out.
    with the text tool, I select the words in a paragraph I want to link to a url, let's just say I want to create a hyperlink to the words:  "I can't do it"
    I select them
    go into hyperlink under 'type' and get the hyperlink dialog box, and select new hyperlink
    In the dialog, I type 'URL' in the Link to --destination box.  Type in the new url in the empty name box with the http www. stuff, , click ok, and nothing.  No matter if I select URL(or shared destination, it doesn't matter, neither work)
    I even try to save it to a PDF file, to see if the link is there, and it isn't.  What am I doing wrong?  I've tried this with simple text, selecting a graphic, and nothing.  I am totally stumped.
    Help.

    The Link isn't active in InDesign.
    When you export the PDF ensure that you have the Hyperlinks button checked.

  • Namespace and prefix are not coming up in xml payload created from BSSV

    Hello
    I am facing this issue that when I am creating xml payload from BSSV, payload does not have namespace and no prefix. I googled on this and made code change in package-info. java file. Now, when I test BSSV locally from Jdeveloper xml gets created with namespace but when I run it from server, there's no namespace.
    Does this file package-info.java gets deployed on server? is it ok to make change to it? If not, then what is the other way to resolve this issue?
    Please suggest.
    Thanks
    TK

    Hi Peter,
    Thanks for the valuable input.
    We have already implemented note 378648 i.e these all parameters are already there under sidadm user in DB node.
    BR_OFS=1
    BR_OFS_RESOURCE=< database_resource_name>
    BR_OFS_CLUSTER=< cluster_name>
    BR_OFS_USER=<user_name>
    BR_OFS_DOMAIN=<domain>
    BR_OFS_PWD=<password>
    registry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Oracle/HomeX ORA_<SID>_AUTOSTART is having value false.
    Please guide what could be the other possible reason?

  • Create a hyperlink that does not open a new window if a window containing the url is already open?

    Is there a way to create a hyperlink to a url that "jumps to" the URL's window if it is already open in the browser?  Therefore a new window is not opened and the existing window containing the hyperlink would not change either.
    If the target url is not already open, then yes the link could either open in a new window or in its existing window.
    Does anyone know if there is a command/code for this?

    Ok, so to be clear, I should add all of the following:
    Header 1
    function getCookie(c_name) {
    if (document.cookie.length>0)   {
    c_start=document.cookie.indexOf(c_name + "=");
    if (c_start!=-1)     {
        c_start=c_start + c_name.length+1;
        c_end=document.cookie.indexOf(";",c_start);
        if (c_end==-1) c_end=document.cookie.length;
        return unescape(document.cookie.substring(c_start,c_end));
    return "";
    function wOpen () {
    var cookiename = getCookie ('winFlag');
    newWin = window.open("YOURPAGE.html","myWin'","height=200, width=200");
    newWin.blur();
        document.cookie = "winFlag=1";
    into 1 file?  And that is the file that links to the music page?
    I don't know if my Flash music page creates a cookie onto the user's browser.  That would be necessary for this to work, right?

  • Can we create graphic and text in the same window of smartform without using template?

    we create graphic and text in the same window of smartform without using template?

    Hi Kinjal,
    as far as i understand you are talking about a template which you can partitioned and in one part you wants to show your graphics and in other part you wants to print your text, the border of template shall remain invisible.
    If you wants to do it without using a template, you can do it as sujjested by Susmitha, but creating a template will provide you more flexibility that if you wants to change the attributes in future you can do it easily.

  • Updating flash from a dynamically changing XML file

    Creating a non-interactive status display: I want to have the
    flash display reflect data in a server-based XML-file. So far this
    is easy. But I want the display to change everytime the XML file
    changes-- in order to reflect status changes. I've used an
    XMLConnector and specified it and the trigger in the first frame.
    The Flash code catches and shows the XML values initially . But
    when I edit the XML file, the new values are never picked up by
    Flash- its almost as though the values are cached. How do I get
    Flash to regularly be updated from a changing XML file? I've also
    tried putting the trigger in a loop- but that doesn't work
    either.

    I DID find a solution with setInterval, but there is still a
    problem of a diffeent sort.
    When using XMLConnector, it appears that
    XMLConnector.trigger() is the thing that goes out and gets new data
    from the server. so:
    function checkForData():Void {
    myXML.trigger();
    <<handle new values of bound data>>
    var intervalID:Number = setInterval(checkForData, 10000);
    works very well by executing the trigger every 10000
    timeunits. This all works when run in the Flash Player. However, if
    I embed the thing in a webpage (with either FireFox or IE7 or 6),
    It stops triggering after the first time. Interestingly if I also
    run the Flash Player version, then the web version keeps updating,
    but stops if I kill the Player. So, I'm wondering: whats up with
    this?

  • How do I install my custom, self-created graphic Persona / Theme that I use on my XP computers on my Win7Firefox?

    How do I install my custom, self-created graphic Persona / Theme that I use on my XP computers on my Windows 7 Firefox? (Firefox 17.0.1 Windows 7 64bit Home Edition? (There is, as far as I can tell, no "little fox" icon visible in the lower left!) I am using a downloaded "Persona", or "Theme" ((I sure wish you people would not change important terminology at the drop of a hat!)) and it is working fine.....

    You will have to install the Persona Plus extension to easily install a persona via its files instead of via internet.

  • Shift+control+A conflicts between FF4 and blogger: When I want to create a hyperlink, the add-on tab opens.

    Blogger has long used Shift+Control+A as the keyboard command for inserting hyperlinks. Now that I've switched to FF4, I discover that it's also the command for opening the add-ons tab. I can still create a hyperlink but every time I do, I have to close the add-on tab. This is a nuisance when writing a link-heavy post. Since I blog regularly on several different Blogger pages, the annoyance factor is growing regularly.
    I checked the Keyboard Shortcuts page and read, "Firefox does not provide any method of customizing keyboard shortcuts." Is this absolute? If so, I suggest deleting or changing the FF4 hotkey since Blogger has years of precedence with this command.

    Scott,
    You don't need to use a digital line to create a TTL pulse. The PCI-6025E has two onboard general purpose counters. You can use one of these counters to create a single pulse of the desired pulse width. For an example of how to program the counters on your board, refer to LabVIEW's Search Examples>>I/O Interfaces>>Counters>>Pulse Generation>>DAQ-STC based.
    The advantage of using a counter over the digital line is that it allows you to control the timing of the pulse through hardware and not software. Thus, it is inherently faster, and the timing resolution is more accurate. The counter will count down an internal 20 MHz timebase to create the pulse delay and the pulse width.
    For more information on the hardware capabilities of your board, you can refe
    r to the User Manual online at www.ni.com/manuals.
    Hope this helps.

    Erin

  • Graphic hyperlink issue

    I read how to place a hyperlink in a document, and got that done quickly.  But, in a flyer I was doing, I had a graphic that needed to have a hyperlink on it, and I went to create a new one, and it didn't work in the final PDF document.  I went back a million times, recreated the hyperlink, unselected shared destination, etc... and nothing worked.  The graphic shouldn't be the problem, so what am I doing wrong?  I did do it with text, so I'm doing something right, but can't get the graphic hyperlink working.
    thank you.

    I'm assuming your hyperlinked image looks something like this:
    You might be forgetting to choose File > Export > Adobe PDF (Interactive). If you chose Adobe PDF (Print), it won't work.
