Channel 3 & 33 problem on Digital switchover

Hi,
Today (20th April) was the 2nd stage of the digital switchover on our nearest transmitter - Ridge Hill.
I duly did a full channel rescan as instructed, but then noticed that the programmes shown in the Program Guide for ITV (Channel 3) were in fact those for ITV+1 (Channel 33) but if I selected one I would actually be watching ITV rather than whatever was shown in the guide.
Chanel 33 just said 'No information available', so we are not able to set a recording for either channel
I did try the old trick of pulling out the aerial cable, doing a full scan; obviously not finding any channels, and then replacing it and scanning again, but with the same result.
Has anyone any bright ideas please as to how we can get things back to how they should be, or is this something which should correct itself overnight?... he says hopefully!

Having just returned home after Easter, I had hoped to find that the problem had cured itself in the last five days, but it hasn't!
I then spoke to the Digital UK Help Desk again, who were a lot more helpful this time.
They were emphatic that it is a BT problem which can only be fixed by a factory reset, which (they said) can't be carried out by the user, but requires BT to "send a signal down the line", which I not believe is factually correct, but I am loathe to do this and to loose over 40 previously recorded programmes.
I then called BT Vision Technical Support, who first wanted me to try and add channels etc. all over again, but then eventually said that they would arrange for a level 2 support engineer to contact me within 24 hours, and that an engineer will visit my home if necessary to sort out the problem.
It is obvious from earlier posts that I am not the only customer in this position, and would appreciate some moderator intervention here, as we should surely not be faced this sort of problem, which I would like to think can be solved without the necessity of a full factory reset.

Having problem to digitally sign onto IBM Lotus Forms Viewer3.5.1

We recentely installed Adobe Acrobet Pro X with AcrobatUpd1001_Tier1 updates.
After we did that I'm having problem to digital signature onto e-Forms.
We use IBM Lotus Forms Viewer3.5.1 for handling e-Forms.
When I trying to retreive certificates from my CAC card, the program looks like couldn't find certificates from my CAC card.
I didn't have any problem with Adobe Professional 9.4.2 to put digital signature with IBM Lotus Forms Viewer3.5.1.
We use Windows Vista Enterprise SP2 as basic OS.
The problem is disappeared when I uninstall Adobe Acrobet Pro X or didn't install AcrobatUpd1001_Tier1 updates.
So, it definitely related to AcrobatUpd1001_Tier1 updates.

I see that you have two opening <body> tags. Delete one; it is not needed. Add the preload images from the second into the first body tag and delete the second.

Problem with Digital Signature strategy in Document Managment System

Hello ALL,
I am facing problem with Digital Signature strategy in DMS. If any help its greatly appreciated.
I have senario where Approvers in DMS will review the document and approve the document and put on their digitial signature. if i have multiple approvers maintained in the characterstics it has to check weather it has been approved by all approvers otherwise it has to reset the status to for approval.
My problem is i am able to reset the status back from approved to for approval using the badi document_status01 but when the next approver logs in to the document and change the status to approved he is not able to get the digital signature pop up which it comes only first user approves it.
can any one help me out on whats going wrong in it.

Hi,
maybe the reason for this is that the status of the digital signature is not changed. Then the system thinks that the digital signature is still completed and therefore the user is not getting the pop-up again. The database table for the digital signature for documents is TC77. I hope this information is usefull for you.

Problem Receiving Digital and Analog Channels- 22LV610U

I have a LCD/DVD combo TV model 22LV610U and had satellite tv for over a year and the tv worked great! After shutting off the satellite, I wanted to only receive the local channels via antenna. I bought a new RadioShack Indoor TV antenna ( to receive basic UHF, VHF and FM radio signals to HDTV and FM HD Radio signals)...
After setting it up, I still only saw snow...I tried setting up the channels through the menu, and was not picking up any signals. I was also unable to view the "DTV Settings" options for Digital Signal...
Do I need a different kind of antenna? I called Toshiba customer service and was told the HDTV antenna would not be compatible, however, ALL channels are now digital and must be received through this kind of antenna...

If you are using a STB, then you should connect it with an HDMI cable or component cable as you did.
However, you do not need to autoprogram your TV if you are using an HDMI or component or composite or any other indirect connection. That is because the STB is acting as the tuner; it will automatically receive channel information as part of its on-screen graphics. All the HDMI connection is doing is delivering that video feed to your TV.
Therefore, what you need to do is press the "input" button on your TV remote and select HDMI, or component, whatever you are using. Then you control the channels using your STB remote, not your TV remote, which changes the channels on your STB, not your TV. Again, your TV is only receiving the video from your STB, it's not directly changing the channel itself. It's like having a VCR and turning your TV to channel 3 in the old days; you just need to pick up the video.
The reason why, when you tried hooking the TV up directly to the wall with coax is because most FiOS programming is encrypted digital. That is why the STB is needed to "unscramble" the channels and output them to your TV along with all of its on-screen graphics and program guide. Therefore, if you connect coax directly to the TV, the only channels you will receive are local channels (i.e. CBS, NBC, PBS), the ones that Verizon cannot by law encrypt. The reason why some of those channels are "16-2" or "17-214" is because digital broadcasting, as opposed to analog (think the digital transition last summer) uses "sub-channels," which are the -XXX. Verizon can assign whatever number they want to their encrypted programming (i.e. ESPN HD can be 214-1445) because the STB will read that channel and display it within it's own system as Ch. 570.

10.4.9 - Major audio problems with digital audio

I have a Digital XMPCR radio with Edirol MA-20D Digital speakers
I now have major audio problems, the audio is garbled and doesn't sound as strong. Kinda like a FM radio in a car that is loosing signal when you are traveling.
I use this XMPCR for a couple of hours a day and had no problems this morning prior to installing the update.
I have a XMPCR that was modified for Toslink/Digital connection. I connect the XMPCR to my Mac Pro 2.66 with toslink cables and connect my Edirol MA-20D digital speakers with toslink cables. I use Amoeba's "LineIn" for audio pass through.
I thought it might me the FTDIUSBSerialDriver so I reinstalled it, did not fix the problem.
I also have a real bad "buzzing" sound going on in the background. When I quit JXM (the application for changing channels on the XMPCR), the "buzzing" goes away but I have a rapid ticking sound coming out of the speakers until I quit LineIn.
Anyone else have any problems with their digital audio input/outputs?

I dont use the digital XMPCR radio, but I use Digital Performer to record audio and MIDI and I use exclusively the Built-In Audio input and Output and everything is working fine after the 10.4.9 Upgrade.

Problem with Digital Editions page view

I used Digital Editions on two books just recently and was able to fit each page of the ebook to it's full height from top to bottom.
I just downloaded my third book to DE, and I can't seem to find the button to fit each page to their full heights (top/bottom). Instead, it's stuck on dual-page view. The single-page view button option isn't even there on the third book, but IS there on the first two books. I downloaded a fourth book and it's experiencing the same problem; stuck in dual-page view with no single-page option.
If I try to re-size the DE window to force it into a single page view, the page numbers are all messed up appearing at random spots of each page rather than at the top right where they are suppose to be.
I re-installed DE but the problem still persists. Is this a problem with the books in specific? Or something else?

Zen Vision:M, Mediasource transfer problem and Digital Camera

It used to work. Norton 360 has made a mess of lots of things...
I can no longer transfer via Mediasource to my Zen Vision:M 60gb. I can view, play and rename files from Mediasource and I can transfer to the Vision:M via windows explorer (of course you don't get the benefits of gracenote or other tag modification programs). I have also noticed that on my XP "My Computer" the device shows up as both MY Zen (digital player) and and as Zen? DVP-HD004 as a Digital Camera. Is the digital camera piece related to the problem and/or normal?

The 60GB has a USB host feature for transfering pictures directly to the player that the 30GB does not have.Since the motherboard is not the same that makes sense.Have you tried turning off your Anti-Virus when you need to transfer files?

Problem with Digital Cinema Desktop Preview on Macbook Pro

I hava a Macbook Pro 2.2 GHz with 2 GB RAM. I would like to use a connected 24"-Display for preview of my HD-Material (ProRes and HDV). Unfortunately I am not getting my Macbook Pro to playback all frames. Whend Digital Cinema Desktop Preview is activated, there are only still frames displayed. No smooth playing back neither in the canvas window nor the 24" display. I have External Video -> All Frames checked.
Does the Macbook Pro 2.2 not meet the specs for this feature?
Or is it a problem with Leopard? Is anyone with Tiger able using Digital Cinema Desktop Preview with succes?

So are you saying that the DVI output on my MacBook Pro IS true HD resolution and not a proxy like the canvas?
What I am saying is that the video feed coming out of the DVI port is YUV. Computer monitors take that YUV information and convert it to RGB for displaying purposes. So if you connect an Apple monitor to the DVI port, and then use that for Digital Cinema Preview, you are seeing a converted proxie image. The MXO takes the actual YUV footage and outputs that to the Apple display as YUV, and therefore presents full quality broadcast colors. And it does it pixel for pixel...the 23" display is 1920x1200, so there are thin black lines on the top and bottom.
AND the MXO software has a proc amp for adjusting color bars, and a BLUE ONLY option for proper monitor calibration. THis really is an amazing little box.
I'm using a Dell ultrasharp 20" that looks very good that way; I just didn't think it was HD.
It is, but it is a converted RGB image...and since it is 20", it isn't pixel for pixel (well, it would be for 720p, not 1080), and if it isn't pixel for pixel, then it is a converted image. Not suitable for color correction.

Yup...sure can. It will look pretty good too. But it being a consumer set, and again having a YUV>RGB converted image, it won't look as good as it could. The MXO would feed it a proper YUV signal, as would an Decklink HDP (but you need a decklink card with SDI out for that).

Problem with Digital AV Adaptor and iPad 2

I have lent my friend my Apple Digital AV adaptor to use with her iPad 2 but it is behaving strangely. Mirroring works correctly to her 720p TV (displaying the iPad interface in 4:3 ratio) but when she tries to play a video from shared iTunes library (the video is 720p 16:9 ratio) it plays with borders all around the edge. It looks like the iPad is playing it back within the 4:3 display, so therefore adding back borders to the top and bottom in addition to those already on the 16:9 display at the sides.
Has anyone else experienced this? Why won't it play full screen on a 16:9 display?

Update: Same problem when using iPad 3.

Problems with digital signatures (adobe reader)

     I am a Government contractor that develops documents for my customer. We are in the process of ascertaining the viability of digital signatures. I have developed a signature form with Adobe Pro 9.0.
     I have several issues. When someone digitally signs the document with their Common Acess Card (CAC), the warning appears "At least one signature has problems. Please fill out the form. If you are the form author, choose distribute form in the forms menu to send it to your recipients."
     I tried using several options using the distribute section, and I am unable to make this part work. I truly need assistance with doing this correctly. I require that the signatures to be processed in sequence (#1, #2, #3, and then the approval signature). I did not comprehend that option in the distribute form section.
     However, the recipients that use Adobe Acrobat Pro are able to sign the document when submitted to them (however, the prviously stated warning appears). If they use Adobe Reader, they are not able to sign the document.
     Please help.
     Is there anyone that can assist with the signature feature of Adobe Pro?
     I would appreciate any suggestion/guidance.
     One area that I don't understand is the feature where i 0send the form out for signature.

Problem with digital output and microph

Hello! I recently bought a new motherboard MSI K8N SLI Platinum that have onboard Sounblaster Li've 24bit, with coaxial and spdif and also the standard outputs. I ve connected via a fiber optical cable to my amplifier and i checked the digital output only box to the advanced settings on the mixer. I am hearing sound very well from my amplifier but when i connect headphones to with microphone to my soundcard , i don't hear anything at all from my headphones. Also i cannot speak via microphone. If i uncheck the box digital output only i hear sound from my headphones and also i can speak to microphone. Is there some way to have them both enabled? In my previous motherboard i didn't have that problem. I could hear sound from my amplifier with pcm signal and from my headphones and microphone analog at the same time.

You are apparently using software timed output. To maintain accurate phasing at 80 Hz you need timing which is accurate to better than 4 milliseconds. This is not likely to occur with a desktop operating system. Sometimes it will be good and other times OS latencies will throw the timing way off.
If your board supports it, use hardware timing. The timebase sources on most boards are far more precise and accurate than software timing.

Does any have problem viewing digital signature from PDF?

I have this problem, when viewing digitally signed PDF from iBooks app, all the signatures are gone.

I sign the pdf with a digital signature which includes a picture of my written signature. When I attach it to Apple mail or upload to mobileme, the signiture disappears. My clients see nothing. When I go back to the email in the sent box and open the pdf in the email there is no signature. When I open the original pdf the signature is there
This problem does not exist in outlook 2011, but would have liked to use mail as outlook does not support caldev
I don't know if I can explain it any better.

Problem opening digital booklets

Just purchased and downloaded an album from iTunes yesterday and all went well except I cannot open the digital booklet. I get an error message, "Preview couldn't open file. It may be corrupt or a file that Preview doesn't recognize".
The booklet is a pdf file which I've opened numerous times on my Mac without issue. I also copied the booklet to my desktop and attempted to oped directly with Adobe Reader and I get the error message, "There was an error opening this document. The file is damaged and could not be opened."
Anyone else experience this problem? Any help is appreciated.
