Chapter Highlight Order in Reflection White

I'm having very frustrating problems with the chapter button highlighting order on a DVD created using the Reflection White theme. I have two pages with 6 buttons on each page. Each pages use a different highlighting order and neither page uses the order that I want.
Each page has 6 chapter buttons arranged in two rows of three. The buttons where correctly placed in left to right, top to bottom order. This is the highlight order which should be used. If I'm starting with the upper left button highlighted, pushing the right arrow button on the remote should highlight the buttons in this order: UL, UM, UR, LL, LM, LR, UL, etc.
The problem is that the actual highlight order is very different. One page produces the order: UL, LM, UM, LR, UR, LL, UL, etc. The other page has this order: UL, LL, LM, UM, LR, UR, UL, etc. Obviously, this is very non-intuitive and inconsistent.
(Note: U = Upper, L = Lower, xL = Left, xM = Middle, xR = Right)
I've tried everything I could think of to correct the order. I've tried creating new submenus and dragging the buttons to it in order, copying the buttons to it in order, copying the buttons in an order which would put them in their current highlight order, then rearranging them, and even digging into the project file using PListEditor Pro. It seems like iDVD is probably generating the order automatically as it's encoding the menus, and that the length chapter names may be affecting the order. (The names on my disc are very specific and can not be changed.)
Has anyone figured out how to get the chapter menu buttons in Reflection White to highlight in a logical order rather than something that seems, well, like a drunken stagger?

The only solution I came up with was using the first theme page from Reflecton White. Then using portfolio color for the remainder theme pages. I too report the bug to Apple, there are a few other themes that work in the same fashion for example Reflection Black.

  • IDVD 09:  Scenes page - Chapter select order in wrong order

I have an iDVD (iLife09) project that contains 35 chapters and have previewed it in DVD Player.
When using the controller's right advance button, the chapters are not selected in their proper order. Each scene page has a different chapter select order, with none of them being logical or correct. I had edited the video and added the chapters in Final Cut Express and then separately in iMovie. Both have the same results.
It seems that this has been a long-lived problem, as I recall having the same results with a few earlier versions of iDVD. Unfortunately, if you have a slick video, the Scenes/Chapter selection options makes for a poor presentation.
Any fixes, suggestions, or reasons why this is an ongoing problem would be greatly appreciated.

  • Reflection White effect in Motion 2?

Very new to Motion 2, I still have a greatt deal to learn. But I was wonder if there's a way to create the refection effects seen in iMovie HD, version iLife 6? I really like that effecta nd would like to be able to create similar effects in Motion. Can this be done? If so, can someone give be a step-by-step or point me in the general direction? Thank you!

Thank you Patrick, but specifically, I'm trying to figure out how I can create the 3D motion as created by the iMovie 6 "Reflection White (or black) theme. I can see, somewhat, how to create a reflection and have that reflection be 3D and move, What I can't figure out is how to create the perspective of the image, or movie, changing with the movement—e.g., appearing as if to slide along a path and shrink or grow as it moves along the X, Y and Z planes. As with the "Reflection" themes, pictures and movies and move and swing in 3D space. I'm trying to simulate that type of motion.
    Thank you so much.

  • Wrong highlight order!!!

I know this issue has been touched on before... but I'm wondering if there are any new solutions! For some unknown reason, when more than one button is placed on a menu, or sub-menu, the highlight -- in preview mode or when you burn the disc -- immediately goes to the very bottom button, the last chapter, exactly the OPPOSITE of where it should go! In other words, it's as if the iDVD designer felt a viewer would want to start at the last chapter and work his way back to the first!!
This design is completely insane...and I'm wondering if anyone has any brilliant ideas to "trick" the program into working properly, so the DVD you create might actually resemble a normal, professional DVD you would buy at a store, and not some half-assed, ill-conceived disc created by an amateur using a faulty program like iDVD.
    Power Mac G5   Mac OS X (10.4.6)

I wonder if you imported your chapter in reverse order - ie. import the last chapter first to the first chapter last, if it would then highlight it in the correct order? If you set the buttons to then free positioning you can put them in the right order? Just a thought not an ideal solution but maybe a possibility.
I don't know if iDVD6 is the same as 5 in this, but I did notice with one of the v5 themes, the chapters always came in on the submenu in reverse order, with the last chapter at the top of the list. I, of course, reversed them when creating the DVD. When I played it in a DVD player, the ordered positions remained from the 'bottom up.' You can't import the chapters in reverse order because iMovie orders them by their timed position in the movie.
If you could know the order of the button selection BEFORE creating the DVDs, one could simply place the correct buttons in that order. I guess it would look funny and out of order on the screen, but the button-select order would be correct.
I always number each title of my chapters so that I don't get confused as to which comes next. I guess I don't really mind if the DVD seems to get them out of order--so long as they are numbered correctly it is easy to select the right chapter.

  • Liquidity forecast report - On which date will Purchase order be reflected

    Dear Gurus,
My client has payment terms ' payment 30 days after date of GR'
say the Purchase Order is raised on 1/1/2009 and GR done on 20/1/2009 then amount should be due to vendor on 19/2/2009 ( 30 days from GR date)
it is required that when i raise PO the said date should be reflected in liquidity forecast report.
How can i make this possible as at time of raising PO i do not know GR date.
Also let me know on which date the PO would normally be reflected in liquidity forecast report?
    Regards,

    Hi,
I have a problem that none of the PO amount is reflected on cash liquidation, the report only retrieves balances of PO which have been converted to invoice through MIRO.
I found that the configuration is complete, planning group has been assigned to vendor master data. Do you have any idea how planning level in Cash Management connects to Material Management/Vendor?
Or is there something missing that I can't get balance of PO in cash liquidation report?
    Thanks a lot

  • Deleted Sales Orders not Reflecting in BI

    Dear Experts,
When ever my customer deletes a SO(Sales Order) in R/3, the reverse posting or deleted SO is not reflecting in BI. The Data source used is 2LIS_11_VAHDR. We are deleting the relavent SO in BW manually. But our customer wants to automate it.
Can any one suggest any setting in R/3 or BI for the changes to reflect?
    Plz help.

    Hi Raj,
check your data source support for reverse posting.
go to rsa6 select your data sourceselect changecheck weather the sales order field is selected for inversion. if it not do it.
    and also check this condition
If the option Field recognized only in Customer Exit is chosen for the field, this field is not inverted. You cannot activate or deactivate inversion if this option is set.
hope this will give u some idea

However if i check the /sapapo/rrp3 product view, the process orders are visible here.
Kindly help me understand if i am missing out something here.
    Thanks,

    Hi,
Please Check whether the ATP category is assigned to the Category group which is assigned to KF in the planning.
If that is assigned rightly then run TS cons check.

  • Menu button highlight order with dvd remote

Hi I am using DVD studio pro 4 on a mac book pro.
When I simulate my project and use the dvd remote to naviagate from menu to menu I have noticed that some menus start with the first button highlighted and some with different buttons highlighted.
I have used target menu to link them together rather than link the menu to the exact menu/button1. Ideally I want each menu to start with the first button highlighted and ready to go, but I don't know how dvd sp sets the order and how I can fix this without relinking.
    Many thanks for your help

    Hi
Check in Inspector Menu Properties the Default Button setting. That must be the button highlighted by default when you open a menu. Try simulating just the menu and check what button you get highlighted by default.
Be aware that when creating connections you can jump to a apecific menu button. You could by mistake be connecting that way.
    Hope that helps !

  • Text highlighter seems frozen in white

My text highlighter won't provide option other than white/not highlighted. Even opening a new doc doesn't allow for highlighting anymore. How can I restore my highlighting menu?

What  iMac is it and what version of OS X are you running?
    Try an SMC reset: https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3603
If that doesn't help, try a Safe Boot: restart holding down the Shift key until you see a grey progress bar - you'll need to input your admin password during boot-up - and once booted, restart as normal from the Apple menu.

  • DVD Studio Pro Chapter Highlight Objects

I'm using a gray bar from within DVDSP to highlight my chapters. How do I change it to green?

If you have a lot of buttons you may want to name them something so that when you look at the list of buttons when navtigating to the menu they will show up as something different than button 1, 2 etc.
Double check that the end jump of the story is set to the next button you would like to highlight.
Also check that the stories only contain the appropriate content.
Remember that stories play until they encounter the next chapter marker. Then the story should jump to the next item in the story or it should follow the jump when finished directions you have set in the story.
Do you have a chapter marker at the end of the track or at the end of the section you want to play?
Chapter markers need to be at least 15 frames from the end of the track.
You may need to add black at the end so that the story end marker can be added to the track.

  • Delete SNP Planned Order to reflect at R3 (C5 or CCR)

    Hi,
I deleted some SNP planned order using rlcdel, should i use a C5 or CCR to transfer to deletion toR3 to reflect the changes . ? what situation should i used C5  or CC5
    many thanks

    Hi,
RLCDELETE has the radio buttons "In APO" and "In APO and R/3". if you check the "In APO and R/3", the deletion is immediately sent to R/3. No need to run C5. If not then you just deleted the order only in APO and did not delete in R/3. You can either run C5 and select the change pointer with "R"- delete or run CCR report or delete these orders manually in MD16 in R/3.
what situation should i used C5 or CC5
C5: When you sent periodic transfer in SPRO, then create an order and push it to R/3. You can also delete an order and push the delete change pointer (R) to R/3
CCR: When the orders in APO and R/3 donot match.
