Dear ALl,
Can any one tell how to make chapter ID as mandatory at the time of MIGO for 101 movement.
If for a mateiral chapter id is not maintained in J1ID then system should not allow to post GRN(MIGO).
Is there any setting at IMG level or USER EXITS available.

then write user exit and put there own logic, if chapter ID for given material is not available then MIGO should set the error message ( you can have this at migo post), write your code in this-MBCF0005
Table and field you can find it from j1id .
After implementing this if chapter ID not maintained then system will not save MIGO document.

CASE 1 : All Plants are excisable.
In Material master , Foreign Trade data tab- mentioned Control code field mandatory. ( i.e nothing but Chapter ID)
CASE 2 : Few Plants are excisable
In the Case 2 you need to go for Enhancement
Program Name : MV45AFZB
User Exit: USEREXIT_CHECK_VBAP ( Item Level Check )
By using above user exit you write a logic with the help of ABAPer
Plant and Chapter ID combination table : J_1IMTCHID

Has anyone succesfully made a chapter list in QuickTime Pro 7.1.1? I can't import the txt script into QuickTime. The QuickTime Help instructions are written for earlier version.

Calling for help to Apple for anything beyond installation is supposed to cost $125. They have removed the "Import " comand from this version and the instructions have not been re-written. Using Open File does not do it.

Have no personal experience myself, but have noted a number of discussion topics in this area. If it is not mandatory to actually create the chapter markers in QT Pro, have noted that several people recommend using an external editor utility ("Metadata Hootenanny") to create these markers in a manner similar to iMovie. That is, you view the file in this utility, pause playback, add a chapter marker, name it, and repeat this procedure until all markers are placed. You then simply save the work and, if the site's description is accurate, you have your "chaptered" movie. Dynamic mandatory field error message is not getting displayed in webui

Hi,
In Appointment if the importance is HIGH i made Location as mandatory.For this i enhanced BT126H_APPT/ApptDetails. In the get_p_location() method of BTACTIVITYYH i have written the code.
Now the problem is Error message for this dynamic mandatory field is not getting displayed in webui.
I debugged in DO_FINISH_INPUT error message is getting generated but it is not getting displayed in ui.
Can anybody tell where the problem is?

Really sorry do not know how to convert this nug file to text
How ever quick solution for your problem would be just keep your validation in 'DO_VALIDATE_INPUT' method of the view controller.
Means even if the User clicks on SAVE , Since it fails here , it would not allow you to go further.

Mandatory item validation at a page level?

We have a page where the list of mandatory items changes according to how some 'key' items are set by the user e.g. if they select option 1 on item 1 we need a different set of mandatory fields than if they set option 2 - setting option 1 in item 4, may imply that some further items are mandatory, In addition, some items become mandatory due to circumstances known only on the database. We have in excess of 40 items on this page. Once all mandatory items are complete, the status of the page is saved as 'complete' - the user can always save the page as 'incomplete'.
We already have a database package that can check a table row to see if it is 'complete', it knows all the circumstances for when an items becomes mandatory and can produce a list of fields and the reasons why they have failed validation.
Is it possible to call this db package during page validation and use it to perform 'item' validations i.e. identify the invalid items and place the appropriate message inline with them?

You can create a pl/sql page validation where you call you procedure.

You should define the type of the validation, but it is very straight forward,

Looking for Chapter Tool Beta or other app to create enhanced podcasts

Hi all. I am looking at creating enhanced podcasts. On Google I found a mysterious app that Apple has apperantly created - "Chapter Tool Beta". However, all links to this app are dead. Any idea what happened to that app?
Also, what are some alternatives? Garage Band doesn't work well, as in this project I am working on, we have to show a screen shot, then in the next "frame" same screen shot, but with a highlight box over an area. And, it's hard to line up images in GB. Any ideas? Thanks,

I think the Chapter Tool is now dead - though someone did ask about this a few weeks back: it might be worth searching for the thread to see whether anyone could help.
I would suggest you look at Podcast Maker: this will take your pre-existing mp3 files and add chapters and images to make an m4a 'enhanced podcast', and incorporate the information you give it into a feed file. It will then upload the podcast to your iDisk or other server and ping the iTunes Store for you. I've used it for three years now and found it very reliable.

Creation of Inbound delivery mandatory for ASN process in classic scenario?

Dear Experts,
We are going for classic scenario for our green field SRM implementation process. Our client is not using ASN process in their existing MM process. However, they are now looking for an oppurtunity to enable Suppliers to trigger ASN using SUS. In such case, is creation of inbound delivery from Buyer side a mandatory process?
Is the below the process correct?
PO -> ASN (Supplier using SUS) -> Inbound delivery (Optional) -> Goods Receipt (Mandatory) -> Invoicing.
Here, I understand that Goods receipt can be verified against the PO or via Inbound delivery to PO. ASN will inform the store keeper in advance about impending goods receipt and smoothen the confirmation process.
Could you please comment on the above process? Could you please suggest the best practices followed here?

You are on track.
The process flow you have shown is true. ASN is available as a standard as part of the MM-SUS process. It makes the buyer aware of any delays in delivery or to make arrangements on shipping docks to receive goods on a said date etc.

How to Make Settlement Rule Mandatory in Sales Order(In Acct Assigt Tab)

Hi Gurus,
I have a business requirement. For Free of charge 3rd party orders (yes they have FOC orders delivered by third party) the business wants to ensure that the Settlement rule should be mandatory. They enter cost center & receiver in the settlement rule.
i.e the order should not save till Settlement rule is maintained in the line item in the Acct Assignment tab.
Please let me know how this can be done.
1: Applied my brains on incompletion procedure but does not seems like it can be done there.
2: Is there something in CO where some setting can make it mandatory to enter settlement rule in Sales order?
3: I s there any other way in user-exits or ABAP?
4: Is there any setting in Item category(I could not locate any)?
5: Can this be done via Requirement class.

It depends on settings in Requirement Class (OVZG) and Account Assignment Catg (AAC) in OME9
If your AAC is E in Req Class, then your sales order is a CO object.
Requirement Class in IMG can be checked - IMG > Controling > Prod Cost Planning > Cost Obj Controling > Prod Cost By Sales Order > Control of Requirement.
Or any filed any you can Make mandatory through Transaction variant SHD0.

Field status as mandatory while creation of RE-FX Lease Out Contract

Hi SAP Real Estate Friends,
I have a requirement wherein we need to make the field status of some specific fields as mandatory for data input in RE-FX Lease Out Contract. The fields are mentioned below:
1. Profit Centre in Organizational Assignment Term.
2. Payment Terms in Postings Term.
3. Account Determination Value in Postings Term.
4. Resubmission Rule needs to be mandatorily selected by the user creating the RE-FX lease Out Contract.
5. Fixtures and Fittings Characteristics needs to be mandatorily selected by the user creating the RE-FX Rental Object.
Also we need to achieve a requirement that in case a posting has already been carried out for a given RE-FX Contract for a given Account Determination Value, same shall not be available for change in the RE-FX Contract subsequently.
Plz write back with your valuable inputs.

Follow the stpes for making field as optional, required entry
1 click the tab ,(Which is u want to be Required entry )and get the field name by pressing F1 key and then
2.Go to T.Code: OMSR and enter that field name and get Selection Group
once you get selection group and field name
3 Use t.Code: OMS2 and click your material type and in next screen check Field reference ( you have assigned for material type; example :;For ROH material type the Field reference is ROH
3. Use T.code:OMS9,, Double Click your Field Reference and select field selection Group , & select round box of Required Entry or optional and save

Hi you can see this in SE37 under the Import Tab. Here you see that the only mandatory input field is PURCHASEORDER. So if you provide the purchaseorder number you get alle the details for that.
