??? char instead to see Greek char in pdf format-standalone ver. 10.1.3.3.1

Hi, today I just installed the last BIP version standalone (10.1.3.3.1) on my pc.
I tried to run a previous report with Greek character but now, ONLY with the pdf format, instead to see the Greek characters I see always the character "?".
Using the previous version (10.1.3.2 RC3, always locally installed - standalone version) and connected at the same server, I see perfectly my greek characters.
Any suggestion to fix this problem with the version 10.1.3.3.1 ?

actual problem is what u said it is decreased the wiidht of the output.
now the output is:

actual output is:

Chinese char issue in smartform preview as pdf format

Hi chinese guy!!
please help me with chinese char in smartform preview as pdf format
i created smartform with chinese char and then when executing this smartform by t-code smartforms, it show as simplified chinese char, but when getting JOB_OUTPUT_INFO in order to convert OTF as pdf format, although smartforms performed as pdf format, only chinese char were broken. smartform with english or korean language does not have any issue, only chinese issue now.
i got into r/3 as logon ZH by SAP GUI english version and i used adobe acrobat reader chinese simplifed version. r/3 version is ecc60 unicode system***
please help me,, any chinese guy there?

URG: Converting encoded greek char from HTML page to greek char

( i have inserted space b/w &# ddd; because while framing the query they get converted to
greek char)
I parse the following string and insert the integer values in the following
o/p stream with UTF8 ecoding.
I can see proper greek char in the file, but when i read the contents of the file
and try inserting these values to the DB, they appear as ��(not what i see on my m/c) some junk char.

How to see Greek characters inside a PDF report (made with XML Publisher)

Hi,
I just patched my e Business Suite (ver. 11.5.9) in order to use XML Publisher 5.6.3.
It works fine, but I have a big problem when I want to see Greek characters inside my report; instead to see the Greek characters I see only '?????'
I tried to add some font under the XML Publisher Administrator responsibility following the Doc ID: 373377.1 "How To Install a Font Using XML Publisher Administrator", but my problem remains: I don't see my Greek characters
Do I need to add any other fonts on the file system ? and where ? (under which path), or I set something at the XML Publisher Administrator responsibility level (under the Administration link) ?
Any help will be appreciated, because it's very urgent to know how to fix this problem.

Please verify the value of $AF_CLASSPATH variable and make sure that JRE_TOP/lib/fonts is part of this env variable (in addition to $CLASSPATH).

Fieldtype form mysql-tables accessed via ODBC
are in Crystal Reports 2008
almost all chars instead of decimals
with Crystal Reports 8 it works, with 2008 german (even with SP1) all fieldtypes are false !

Converting spool of line width more than 850 char to PDF format in ECC 6.0.

Hello Experts.
I am facing problem while trying to convert a spool (generated from background scheduling of an ALV ) to PDF format in ECC 6.0.
The ALV has 45 columns. Using SAP note no 1226758 I am able to increase the spool width but when I am converting the spool to PDF using FM 'CONVERT_ABAPSPOOLJOB_2_PDF' the end caharacters are getting truncated .
Please reply ASAP . Any suggestion/Hint will be appreciated.

go to SPAD transaction --> and change the printer which supports more than 45 columnsand 256 cahracters..
according to the printer setting the output is created.
choose any below format TYPES...X_65_256/2
ABAP list: At least 65 lines 2*128=256 double columns (SAPLPD only)

Even if i use a new clean blank rtf doc as the template, it still doesnt write out a file.
When i look in the log directory at the .out files produced, they look right. If i open the .out file with Adobe Reader 9.1, the doc looks exactly as it should. It just doesn't write the file to the destination folder specified.
It cannot be permissions as it will write out RTF/excel files to the same directory with no problems. The report is using a bursting definition but the problem cant be that because it bursts the data correctly, as shown if i specify rtf output in the bursting definition/as shown by the .out files when i specify pdf as the output in the bursting definition. Also, i get the same result even if i schedule any other report that does not use a bursting definition.
I do get an error sometimes when i try to open pdf reports : Cannot use Adobe Reader to view PDF in your web browser. I feel somehow that this may be related and that if i fix this, i could be sorted, but im not even sure im on the right track here.
Im really really REALLY at wits' end here, ive been trying to solve for weeks, but just cant figure it out. Any further ideas would be most welcome, thanks.

I'm on a Macbook Pro and all of my software is up-to-date.
The photos and events, etc. appear to be present in my photo library, but I cannot see the actual images--only an outlined placeholder.

Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Include the option to rebuild the thumbnails. This can take 3 or 4 goes to work.

Here is what worked for me:
My usb hub, being usb2, was too fast. I moved the wire to a usb port directory on my pc. That is a usb1 port which is slow enough to run your snyc.

Could you please let me know if you have tried converting other web pages to PDF and checked if the same issue persists.
How have you been trying to convert the web page to PDF?
Are you trying to convert to PDF directly via browsers or using "File > Create > PDF from Web Page" option in Acrobat.
Let me know more so that I can analyze where actually the issue persists.

I can't see how to edit PDF inside Portfolio for Acrobat X. I can do this in Acrobat 9 Pro with the Document pull down menu. Did they take this away in Acrobat X?

Whether it's maxed or not doesn't make any difference.
The bottom part of the image/scroll bar is always under the Windows taskbar any time the URL is opened.
It is always fixed by doing something, either switching to and back from another window, or turning on and off one or more toolbars.
That shouldn't be necessary. The bottom part should be visible when the URL is opened.

I am using oracle application E-bS version 11.5.10.2 and i want ORACLE reports output in PDF format instead of standard 'text' default format(the place where v register concurrent programs). so can any one tell me what changes should i do to achieve my goal i had change format as pdf in concurrent program and run report but it shows error as follows:

Firefox does not display application icons. Instead I see small box outlines.

When I run an online application, such as Horde Mail, I see no buttons, nor words that are clickable. Instead I see a small box where the button, or clickable-word, should be. The small box is rectangular, is in outline, and has four tiny characters in the middle. What are these? How do I convert them to the buttons they are supposed to be?

Those missing icons are actually supplied by a font that is downloaded from the server (@font-face) as you can see by the little boxes that show the hex code of the characters.
You can check the <b>gfx.downloadable_fonts.enabled</b> pref on the <b>about:config</b> page and make sure that it is set to true (if necessary double-click the line to toggle its value).
Make sure that you allow pages to choose their own fonts.
*Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced: [X] "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above"
