    I believe this is due to wrong setup of XML-Publisher. So, please verify the following:
    1) Make sure NLS_LANG is set to "ARABIC_UNITED ARAB EMIRATES.UTF8"
    2) You use the right encoding "WINDOWS-1256"
    Please go through the following not to verify your XML settings:

  • Report region with column link that opens a pdf doc based on report query

    Hello
    I'm building a report table that displays info about a customer - simple select - and, for each record, has associated column links based on report queries that receive ID as parameter. When clicked, it opens the report in pdf extension. My problem here is how to pass the ID as a parameter to that report query considering i'm using a report table and that there are no items in page 71...
    This is the report query i'm using:
    select initcap(a.customer) customer
    , initcap(a.address) address
    , initcap(a.rep) rep
    , (select initcap(b.city)
    from portal_records b
    where b.contrib=a.contrib
    and b.year=to_char(sysdate,'yyyy')) city
    , (to_char(a.datereg,'dd')||' de '||to_char(a.datereg,'Month')||' de '||to_char(a.datereg,'yyyy')) datereg
    from portal_authorizations_cve a
    where a.id=:P71_ID ???????????????
    I thank in advance all your replies!!

    Hello
    First of all, let me compliment your for your demo application... It's awesome!
    I've looked into your sample (page 15) and, as far as i see, it opens a document saved in a table's column. I don't want the file to be saved there but generated when the user clicks on that particular link... So i still have the problem of how to pass the right ID as a parameter considering there is no page item on that page...
    My javascript knowledge is little so i ask you: when clicking the link, is there any way of opening a window with the url f?p=&APP_ID.:0:&SESSION.:PRINT_REPORT=Authorization_CVE and the ID as a parameter?
    I thank in advance!

  • Printing of Arabic Report 10g on Printer

    Hi,
    I have created a 132 column arabic report in 10g. While calling the same from form as HTML format, it displays all the labels and values fully. When i direct the same to dot matrix printer, the font size is getting bigger and becoz of this, only 2/3 of the report gets printed in the 132 column paper. 1/3 is getting truncated. This happens only when i directly send the report to printer thru forms in Right to Left format. Urgent help needed.

    on unix machines you get 2 runtimes I think they are called ifrun60m and ifrun60.

  • Building a JSP-based Web Report with a Parameter Form

    Hi,
    I tried in building a report as shown in the example in OTN under reports in the url
    http://otn.oracle.com/products/reports/htdocs/getstart/examples/ParameterFormJSP/index.html
    i.e for Building a JSP-based Web Report with a Parameter Form. The directions in this document were not clear and if any one document which is clear with instruction will be useful to me. In this example it is shown with search criteria with sigle text box and if any one had idea & code to place an combo box and population of the record group in the combo box.
    Thank you in advance.

    hi,
    we will be releasing a new example w.r.t creating a parameter form using the reports JSP within the next month.
    as for your request for a combo box. this widget is not available via regular HTML form elements. you can either have a select list or dropdown list.
    for a regular select list you would use the following (only pseudo-code)
    <select ...>
    <rw:foreach>
    <option value="<rw:field .../>">
    </rw:foreach>
    </select>
    to populate a select list.

  • Passing Parameters to Procedure based sub report thru JRC

    Hi
    I am using storedprocedure based main report with a subreport and i am trying to invoke these reports with JRC.
    I am passing parameters to main report then it is asking parameters for subreport then i placed following statement by placing subreport name
    param2.setReportName("detailed_aging_report_wk.rpt");
    but after using this statement it is prompting for main report parameters.
    How i can pass the same parameter values to both main and sub reports?
    Thankyou.

    Here is a snippet code that demonstrates how to pass a parameter to a subreport, you can accommodate it and test it and see if you still have the same behaviour. What you need to do is to add the code to set the parameter of the main report.

  • English and Arabic reports output in PDF

    Hi,
    We generate reports in pdf through our application. We have some English reports(left to right) and some Arabic reports(right to left) but directions settings in our application server is left to right so our Arabic reports are also coming left to right.
    How to resolve this?

    Thanks

    if you are using JSP reports that is means you are encountering the following bug: please change it to RDF and try again.
    Bug 7671625 "PDF OUTPUT IS LTR WHEN RUNNING JSP REPORTS REGARDLESS OF NLS_LANG SETTINGS"
    otherwise change this parameter in the windows regestry REPORTS_BIDI_ALGORITHM=UNICODE and restart the report server then try printing the report
    or
    1. Backup and edit the Reports Server configuration file $ORACLE_HOME/reports/conf/REPORTSERVERNAME.conf.
    2. Add the following lines :
    <environment id="AR">
    <envVariable name="NLS_LANG" value="ARABIC_EGYPT.AR8ISO8859P6"/>
    <envVariable name="TK_LOCALE" value="bidi"/>
    <!--envVariable name="REPORTS_BIDI_ALGORITHM" value="UNICODE"/-->
    <!--envVariable name="REPORTS_ARABIC_NUMERAL" value="ARABIC"/-->
    </environment>
    3. Modify the line for the engine tag to use the specified Environment ID. For example, change:
    <engine id="rwEng" class="oracle.reports.engine.EngineImpl" initEngine="1" maxEngine="1"
    minEngine="0" engLife="50" maxIdle="30" callbackTimeOut="90000">
    TO:
    <engine id="rwEng" class="oracle.reports.engine.EngineImpl" initEngine="1" maxEngine="1"
    minEngine="0" engLife="50" maxIdle="30" callbackTimeOut="90000" defaultEnvId="AR">
    4. Save and exit the Reports Server configuration file.
    5. Restart the Reports Server for the changes to take effect.

  • Activate BI based test reporting - error stating status values missing

    During initial system setup of Solution Manager (as part of an EGI session) we also activated the BI component. I now wanted to activate BI-based test reporting, which is supposed to be done via:
    - Work Center Test Management
    - Settings
    - BI Reporting Settings
    When I reach this screen I get the following error message: "Please add customer defined status values in view u2018V_STATUS_MAPPINGu2019 and assign them to SAP standard values via transaction SM30." The rest of the screen is greyed out.
    Looking at the mentioned table via SM30 I see that for each of the 10 entries maintained (like ALMOST_OK, ...) a customer defined status is maintained as well.
    So what is the problem here?
    Regards
    Martin

    It seems like system is also checking for any status that is not on the list, meaning that for every existing one there has to be a link and not only for every status that is in this view.

  • Character Based Forms Question

    To whom it may concern,
    Basically I am wondering is if it is possible to change the color of things in the character based(Unix) world(forms 4.5). Setting visual attributes doesnt work, and setting the "current record attribute"
    doesnt work. Basically I am trying to highlight the currently selected
    record. Does anyone know if this is possible or not or where else I might look for an answer.
    Thanks in advance for your help!

    Just a direction:
