Characters appearing after Import when no character is listed on the Original Document

Good Afternoon ~
I'm hoping someone can assist with my issue. In the context
of the document there is a (c1) appearing after a sentence even
though there is no characters or anything on the original document.
HELP

Sorry but you are still not providing a clear picture.
After what file has been imported into what? Importing is
something the author does but you are are talking about an end user
and how would they know what was in the original file?

I try to explain simply.
We need to export TermSet (with lot of terms) from site collection, to import it on another SharePoint farm.
so we found a solution to Export and Import.
But after imported, when we modifiy a list that use theses terms, the area is grayed... and I don't now why. We can't to modify theses area and it's a problem.
Why ?!
I specify that in the original SharePoint site the list is can be modified for theses area.

Hi Julien,
Could you provide detail error message of ULS log to determine the exact cause of the error?
For SharePoint 2010, by default, ULS log is at
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\14\LOGS
Also please try to use the SharePoint 2010 CSV Bulk Taxonomy TermSet Importer/Exporter tool to export and import your term set, and see fi your issue persists.

The chinese signs looks different in the original document compare to when imported in FM

I am using Framemaker 7.2 in Microsoft Office and I am trying to import chinese signs into a document but the signs looks different in the original compare to the FM document. The original document is a Word-file with format Arial Unicode MS and when I import that file it doesn't matter whether I choose to import by "Reformat Using Current Document's Formats" or by "Retain Sourse's Formatting", the signs looks different. Does anyone know how I should do it?

FrameMaker does support Chinese (and Japanese and Korean) for years, but I am not sure how capable the Word Import is.
Your message is unclear to me if the Chinese glyphs just look different (like: FrameMaker uses a different font) or are different (like: This seems to be Chinese but the signs are completely different).
The first can be handled by making sure the same font is selected.
In case of the latter: Make sure you have that Word document in RTF form, you will see far better results then. It also might make a difference if the document is saved to RTF on a Chinese or a Western system, you might want to try both if possible.

I understand that Forms 6i and Oracle 9 iAS have been de-supported for years. Meanwhile we do still run a small application in the 9 iAS environment.
We have forms and reports running on Windows 2000 server, I am able to successfully clone the same 9 iAS from Windows 2000 to a Virtual Server Windows 2003 x32 and all runs fine, the only problem is that the fonts in the pdf reports are larger in the new Windows 2003 environment as compared to the original Windows 2000 and characters are cut off when they don't fit in the pdf report output in 2003 env.
Any advice is most appreciated.

After Effects error: There was an error processing the PDF document.

I have been struggling with this problem ever since CS4 was installed.
I have the CS4 Mac Master Collection.
I am using Illustrator to create text for animation in After Effects.
I can create text in Illustrator and import it into After Effects fine. But when I go to make a change to
the Illustrator file, even as simple as changing a color, I get this error.
After Effects error: There was an error processing the PDF document. The file may be damaged or corrupt. (50::29)
The Illustrator file is then toast as far as After Effects is concerned. It cannot be opened or reimported.
I have to start over again and over again, rebuilding the Illustrator file each time.
HELP!!!

This is an issue with AI and ultimately therefore also the AI routines that AE shares to access such files. Has been there forever and neither the AI people nor the AE team seem to be able to fix it in a consistent manner. Simply save a copy of the file from AI, then use Replace Footage instead of reload or at least always fully reload the AE project.

I have a MacBook Pro and an 1TB WD my passport for mac. I bought a second hard drive to act as back up and when I went to do this the original passport won't mount. It is showing in disc utility but it will not repair. I am told the mac cannot repair it.

Yes, excuse me. attach a file. I have separate folders on my desktop to organize my word documents, so I'm guessing this might be a part of the problem. When I go to attach one of these documents into gmail, the resulting attachment is another folder icon (not the original organizational folders) with 4 subfolders containing a slew of .xml files reading things like "header.xml" "format.xml" "settings.xml" "style.xml" "contenttype.xml" There are also a few .jpegs and a small folder reading "word" as one of the subfolders.

This issue occurs with most of the PDFs that I open up. I am using the latest version of adobe reader on my windows based machine and it is a general PDF. I saw a similar post online stating that if you look at the fonts used in the document and it doesn't say (Embedded) next to it, then Adobe Reader will try to pull the font(s) from your computer and if it doesn't find that font then it will replace it which makes it look funny.

Events are organisation for those who can't really be bothered. They are automatic - based entirely on Date and Time the camera records the photos as taken.
You can move photos between Events, you can Merge Events, you can Rename them and sort them in various ways except one: You cannot manually sort in an Event as Events are all automated.
If you want to manually sort in an Event then you've outgrown Events as an organising tool. Now it's time to look at albums (Where you can manually sort) which are much more flexible than Events as an organising tool.

However, if I use Acrobat Pro XI to save the same documents in Word and then run a comparison in Word all of the changes are marked. When a PDF is saved as a Word document in Acrobat Pro XI, is a different OCR module being used than the one used in Acrobat Pro XI for text recognition?

OCR is only for recoginition of the image / picture of text provided by an scanner.
Content typed into a Word file which is converted to a PDF is (in Word and in PDF) *not* an image or picture of text - it is the digital text. So, no OCR involved.
When the "digital" (renderable) text of a PDF's page content is exported to Word no OCR is involved.
When a PDF's content is from the image output of a scanner and this is a picture of text then OCR comes into play.
If this content is exported to Word before doing OCR then it is the image that is exported to the Word file.
Once OCR is performed it is the OCR output that is exported.
OCR output is (always will be) impacted by "the quality of the OCR and the scans of the documents".
Regardless "Compare" is based on a Word file output to PDF1 then edits to the Word file followed by an output to PDF2. You use Acrobat Pro to do a compare of PDF1 & PDF2.
Paper 1 scanned to image 1 to image 1 in PDF1 that gets OCR 1 and
Paper 2 scanned to image 2 to image 2 in PDF2 that gets OCR 2
being processed with Acrobat Pro's Compare can certainly be done.
But - well you've described what can be observed.
