CHECK WHEATHER YOU DEFINE DYNA. MOD. RULE IN INSPECTION PLAN(HEADER LEVEL) & ENTER IT IN MATL.MASTER Q.M. VIEW.
ALSO CHECK WHETHER YOU HAVE DEFINE INSPECTION STAGE
CHANGE IN DYNA.MOD.RULE IN QDR1 TRANSACTION.
THERE YOU CAN DEFINE THAT AFTER HOW MANY INSPECTION LOT SKIPPED INSPECTION SHOULD BE RETURN TO INITIAL STAGE.
HERE YOU CAN DEFINE AFTER 14 SKIPPS INSPECTION LOT SHOULD ALLOW RESULT RECORDING & U.D.
HOPE THIS WILL SOLVE YOUR PROBLEM.

How to add a time characterstic(date) to already loaded cube??

Hi All,
We have a cube loaded(by daily deltas) for more than two years now, how can we add a date to this cube, what are the possibilities??
1. do we need to delete all data,add that date ,reload??( quite tedious time consuming ,out of option for now)
2. jut add that date to new dimension, load from now on?? but we may need data from past for that characterstic.
3. if we copy that cube to another cube, add that char to old cube, then reload data from copied cube to old cube. is it possible to load all the data for that new filed for last two years??
Please let me know the successful solutions as iam doing it in production system.

Hi Eric,
ya that might be possible,but that charaterstic cannot be derived from the data present in cube as it needs to be derived from R/3 by changing the extract program of that cube.
the plan is to create new cube with similar structure of old one plus this new date field,populate this new cube for say required years data, then generate query as using these two cubes in multiprovider.
do u have any alternate solution for this

Number range object for characterstic DATE does not exist

When I am trying to load data from ODS to cube getting below error message.
"Number range object for characterstic ZEXTDATE(Source extract date) does not exist".
In update rules we are trying to convert this date Infoobject(Char) into Key figure.
If anyone had exp with similar issue please reply.

Variable on Remote Cube

Hi,
I am trying to generate a report on BW using Remote Cubes have source as SQL server using UD Connect. I am using this process to re-consile some of the values. I am getting a date from source and I want it to display as Fiscal Period.
Creating variable is not of much use because the code will execute at the first point and is passes as selection criteria to UD Connect , This may impact the performance. I want the variable/formula to execute after the data comes to BEx.
I tried of creating the Text variable with replacement variable on Characterstic (Date) so that I can pick on mmyyyy. The text variable is not working.
Can any one suggest me on this.

Updating resource in planned order using reference characteristics

table and field PLPOD-ARBPL are correct , and same shoild be reflected into characterstic data.
check syntex of dependencies once again , and test configuration using CU50 , and see the result.
while running transaction you can have trace on which can help you to see your dependencies are gettinmg trigered or not.

Query Filter issue......

Hi ,
I want to filter my query data based on the char comparasion. For example : I want to show only those record having CRSD date not Between Valid from & Valid to.
CRSD, Valid from , Valid to are my three characterestic. Can anyone please suggest how can I do the comparasion between Characterstic date.
I checked that condion only allows to compare the key figure with oprater and value. My issue is how to compare three charcterstics.

Sorry, I didn't get your question,,,
You'll have to create three formula variables based on your validfrom, validto and CRSD.
The vars have to be replacement path, characteristic = validfrom (resp validto, CSRD), type number.
Then create three CKF = to each of your formula variable. Their property time of calculation" (>>enhance) should be "before aggregation".
Drag these CKF in your query.
Now I am not sure: either you have to create two separate conditions:
- CKF_CRSD > CKF_FROM + CKF_CRSD < CKF_TO
or one condition with both filters.
You'll have to try that.

Issues with Writing back data to Planning Cube After adding a new characterstic

Hello,
We have two cubes and a MP on top of it. ( Reporting Cube and Planning Cube ). An aggregation layer has also been built and so does a planning BEx query on top of it.
Before Scenario: things were working fine as we were able to write back data to planning cube using the BEx.
After Scenario: We created a new Dimension in the planning cube and added a new characteristic ( lets call it ZX_KEY ) . This Characteristic holds the concatenated values of some of the other characteristics in its master data tables . ( For ex: Account_Customer ID_Country-code_Industry-code ).
This new characteristic is also present in the reporting cube and has been added and transferred to MP.
This new characterstic was added to the planning BEx query as one of the rows and we executed it the analyzer. After entering the required values for all characterstics ( including the newly added ZX_KEY ) and the key figure values, we tried saving it. Now this is where the Analyzer is throwing up this error..

~~Characterstic 'ZX_KEY'; Characterstic value 'R123000000_12_US_TX'~~
~~ Entered values are incorrect:Correct before navigation ~~
The value that we are entering ( R123000000_12_US_TX ) is picked up from the master data table of ZX_KEY by double clicking and selecting it from the fetched values. So i am not sure as to why its throwing up the above error. Request your help on this please.

Can we restrict a master data characterstic using another master data chara

Hi All,
Can we restrict a master data characterstic using another master data characterstic, if they were both compounded together. There are two fields viz.., A,B in r/3 master data table in which A and B combinely serve as a key. In BW side i have created a master data object for A and compuded object B ot it. So that i am getting all the data from r/3 table. But in query designer when i am trying to restrict object A values by object B, in a structure i am not getting any data. If i do same out of structure i am getting data in report. Please help in overcoming this problem.

Yes it should display data, but it is not displaying. If i am doing the same restriction out side of a structure i am getting data. But whilr trying to do so, i am not getting that. The reason why i am bothering about structure is 'Objext B have 10 different values and i want 10 coloumns in report in whicg Obj A must display respective data when i restrict it by B' , whicg i can do this only if i use structure else i can't restrict B that many times .

Data from one cube is not coming in the multiprovider

Hi,
I have two cubes with a common characterstic.
I created multiprovider above these two cubes. But data is not coming from the cube 2. The values from cube 2 are showing as 0.
Can anyone help me out in this?

1 Check whether you have made the joins properly.
2 Check data at multiprovider level .
3 is data available for reporting in both the cubes

Hi Experts,
i written code against keyfigure to convert values in to same currency values and assigned constant USD for the reference characterstic.
Now i tried reload the data but it throws error as 'Data not received in InfoCube / PSA object / InfoObject'

Navigational Attribute data is not display in Cube level and reporting

Iam facing a problem like,I created Navigational attribute and I selected that navigational attribute in cube level also but data is not display in cube level.

Yes after making that particular attribute as a navigational attribute I loaded data in master data tables.

Transaction data loading error

I have one info-cube: C1, characterstic: Time(0calday), material number(IO_MAT), company code (0comp_code)
key figure: price of material (IO_PRC)
I create one datasource for transaction data
Material Comp code Price

when I create transformation, it says error 1::
Rule 2 (target field: IO_PRC): Field PRICE must be assigned to an InfoObject

Diagnosis
No InfoObject is assigned to field PRICE. This is mandatory if you want to use the corresponding rule type.

do I need another column in my upload file for date? should I put "16/11/2011" or "11.16.2011" for example?

I already have key figure IO_PRC( price) defined and in my datasource, I have also a field called " price" as well as in the upload file. and I already create a mapping by link "price" (upload file field) and IO_PRC (key figure)
The issue is:
No InfoObject is assigned to field PRICE.
and second issue is:
Rule (target field: IO_PRC): No source unit assigned

My key figure IO_PRC is defined as:
Data type: CURR, fixed currency: USD Unit/currency: empty, Data element: /BIC/OIIO_PRC

1) i have defined a char "purchase order date" and i have defined the data type as "DATS " . now i am trying to load master data to this. so i went to the infoprovider's infoarea and right clicked and choose "Insert characteristics as infoprovider" it says " it is not base char so it cant b a data target. then h to load data master data to this.
2) while define the DSO where should i place the characteristic in key fields or in the data fileds , where should i put the key figures, since its dso i should include record mode na , where should i insert it.

Character stics we can convert as infoprovider which are independent, Date field is time characterstic it is not independent it is depnds on some charasterstic(like based on customer, material,plant these type of objects u can conevert as info provider)
in your case u want to load data to DSO
2) while define the DSO where should i place the characteristic in key fields or in the data fileds , where should i put the key figures, since its dso i should include record mode na , where should i insert it.
Never keep the keyfigurs in key fields column.
remaining characterstics (all even date characterstics aslo) u can keep in keyfields
in keeping key fileds u should analuse on which basis combination the records should be over written based on that u can decide
eg: matreial no , customer number is unique then u can keep those in key fields
even date also unique (means on same date same material , same customer not there) then u can keep date also in Key fields,

SUGGEST HOW TO FULFILL THE REQUIREMENT

Hi,
I don't know how much you know about enhancing a datasource.
But here's how it goes.
1. Add a field "ZBUS_AREA" in the extraction structure of your datasource.
2. Then you have to write a code to fill in this field.
3. Transaction CMOD. Select your Project. Then "Components". Here you will see 4 rows. Select EXIT_SAPLRSAP_001.
Double click on ZXRSAU01. Or Simply in SE38 --> ZXRSAU01.
4. Now I cannot help you to write the entire code but it's very simply really. You have to define an internal table to get values from BSEG. And then lookup this table for each record that your datasource delivers to find a match and updae the record with BA value.
If you go to ZXRSAU01, you will see some examples how this is done. People can provide you the entire code here but you gotta try.
Please also check what Dennis has mentioned above.
