hey everyone, so i realize that the itrip for nano is out, but yesterday while i was at target i found a little wee device called a "VR3 modulator" which was only $20. a steal compared to $60-70! ... it sez its fer all mp3 players and can be compatible with ipods! it has a usb port and an audio port. if i plug it into the audio port, itll play the music. if i plug it into the usb port, it'll charge. my question is: "is there any way to do both *at the same time*??" i know i can do both if i connectmy ipod to my mac (all i do is trash it and itll charge and play)... but when i connect to the usb port i get the "do not disconnect" image on the screen. theres no "trash" to send it to, so am i just forced to do either one or the other? ... am i gonna have to give in and go buy the griffin itrip or that one that (i thinks) is a belkin?

Strange sort of car adapter. I use a Monster iCarPlay. It plugs into a power port in the car (what used to be called a cigarette lighter) and connects to the nano's dock. It contains an FM transmitter that allows me to pick up my nano's music on the car stereo. Yes, it's more expensive. But it lets me charge the nano while I'm listening to my music.
Sometimes you get what you pay for.

your car in this case its just a speaker
what you can do, its buying a special charger for the car, and buying a special adapter in the shape of a "Y" so it has two inlets and one outlet, one inlet for the charger, another for the cable that connects to the car and the outlet to connect to the ipod.

Error while using DB Adapter in BPEL

Error:
An error occurred while obtaining stored procedures. Verify that the database connection is valid.
I have installed BPEL 10.1.2.0.2 and linked it to a local Oracle DB(not using Oracle Lite). Here, there is no problem invoking a stored procedure while using DB adapter.
Now, when I try to invoke stored procedure that is not present in local Oracle DB, it gave me above error.
I was able to make new DB connection, browse to correct schema and procedure. The moment I click <Next>, the error came.
Any pointer!!

To answer your question: The error happened during design time.
It was a mistake from my side. I did not see that JDeveloper put a default IN argument while selecting the stored procedure, whereas my procedure did not have any.
My issue was resolved once I put a dummy argument in my stored procedure.

I have created jndi from console which I have mentioned in DBAdapter and I have provided details of JNDI to DbAdapter in deployment.
I am not able to solve this.

Charge and Listen at the same time?

I am new to the IPOD experience, and I am listening to my IPOD Nano at work, without ITUNES. I want to listen to the IPOD and charge it at the same time. But it seems while the IPOD is charging, the "do not disconnect" icon is blinking, and I can't play any songs. The only thing I can do is "eject" the IPOD, and then I can listen. But even though it's plugged in, I don't think it's charging. I tried to download my music to some other media player on my office computer, but no luck. I am not allowed to download software, so I can't put ITUNES on my desktop. Any advice?

After the most recent firefox update I can no longer copy and paste. the fuinction only works in Windows and I HATE usign it. Any suggestions on how to restore the copy and paste function while using Mozilla?

As far as I know there should be an option named Monitor Input in the Levels tab of the Speaker Properties in Windows Vista... However - I am missing such option... Thanks for that. Much more constructive than the last comment. It's only the restriction code I can't recall, not the access passcode. So I can currently access the device, just not age restricted content. Does that's make a difference? I also wondered if anyone knew how many attempts you get to try to get it right. Now tried 21 times and so far nothing bad has happened but I am concerned I'll eventually be completely locked out of the device. That doesn't seem in the spirit of things though. Surely it's foreseeable that a child could repeatedly try to guess the code so I can't see that it would be right to lock the device down completely in that circumstance, particularly if the access code is being typed in correctly every time.

Constant, erratic beeping while charging and playing simultaneously

Hi,
My 5th gen ipod started beeping through speakers/headphones while charging and playing at the same time. Once it has been unplugged from the ac charger and switched off/on again it is fine. This wasn't really much of a problem - a bit annoying - but as I mostly charged overnight and used during the day it didn't bother me; until now. I bought a dock with remote but as the dock automatically charges the ipod when the inserted it causes it to beep/bleep ALL the time, rendering the remote pretty useless cause i can't listen to music while it's in the dock due to the incessant beeping.
HELP! - how do I stop the beeping? Is it normal? I want to know if this is something that can't be cured before I go ahead and do something drastic like resetting my ipod completely...

Charging the battery vs. Using the adapter

I'm trying to get a definitive answer about keeping the MacBook Pro connected to the AC adapter while using it as my desktop computer. Is it OK? Not OK? Should the battery be charged to a "full charge " state and then used until prompted to plug in the adapter? Or, can it be connected to the adapter all the time? The MacBook Pro has replaced an iMac that was my primary computer and it's infrequent that I take it from my office to another place. Thanks.

I think if you searched the forums you would find the question has been answered definitively.
The charging circuitry stops charging the battery once the charge level exceeds 95 percent. The battery will not re-charge until the charge level drops below 95 percent. Thus, you can leave the charger connected without concern that the battery will be undergoing continuous discharge and charge cycles that reduce the battery's overall life. However, if you do not periodically calibrate the battery the accuracy of the SMU's measure of the battery's charge level will deteriorate. Thus, you should re-calibrate the battery about once a month.

Then in above scenario, Is previously inserted records would be roll backed or not?

Thanks for your response. My process is Asysc. I did one poc, tested if a data of one record is wrong, then it throwing error, and data is not being inserted in data base.
I tested with 4 records, if data of any records is wrong, then it is not being inserted.
Is there any other good way to handle this.
