Charged for full version when I wanted the trial
Hello virtual world! I wanted to try out spotify premium using the first three months for $0.99 deal but it automatcially signed me up for $12.99 per month!! Additionally, I am a student and a little birdy told me that I can get a student discount. Can anyone help me figure out how to go back and do the trial and then how to apply the discount when I want to renew? Many thanks!

You'll need to cancel by following the steps at https://support.apple.com/HT202039. Once you've cancelled, go to www.spotify.com/premium and you should be able to get the deal from there

I had to replace my solid state drive in my macbook pro. Since it was full of a strange virus nobody could identify, I only saved the files I needed and no programs. Now I tried to get the full version of Lightroom 5 again but it would not accept my serial number. What can I do?

As above, live chat advisor downloaded PE 13 as I couldn't get it to work - but it turns out to be a trial version, even though I had already paid for full version. I now have to enter the serial no every time before I can use it! Any suggestions greatfully received!!

Try the alternatives: "point," "dot," and/or "full stop." Do any of these options produce a period for you? And, as a different punctuation test, does something such as "comma" work for you?

Separate but valid question: Searching Mozilla Support on this very forum yields no answers as to where to download the full version of the program itself, around which this entire forum has been set up with all the numerous questions in it about the program... yet there is no answer on how and where to actually *GET* the full version of the program... this strongly suggests that the forum administrators went out of their way, to make it difficult to impossible for users to get the FULL VERSION of the program...
There are many valid reasons for needing the full version of the program, don't you think it's pretty incredible that it has always been difficult to download the full version of Firefox? The old page had it buried in between the Acholi and Xhosa languages, even though English (US) is probably needed by millions of users vs. relatively few for Acholi and Xhosa... Millions of users had to go though gymnastics of finding it buried in between all the worlds languages with every consecutive version, and now they completely removed it even from that page...
What is the the reason, and you have to agree there is a reason, for Mozilla preventing us from having the full installation file? And what is the reason, even when the full installation file existed on that page, for this forum to make it almost impossible to find that page when searching the forum, or the entire internet for the official full version download page?Last time I checked, that page did link to full installers. As for blaming this forum for anything having to do with the "all" download page, you must be kidding. That page was always available from the main page using a link that said Systems & Languages and as the link says, it lists all the available systems and languages. -

The passcode you need to enter is the passcode you set on your device. It is the passcode that you enter when you turn on your iPad or awaken it from sleep after and Auto lock.
If you do not know or remember your password and did not store it somewhere then you will have to restore your device.

So I have been creating a logo for my company and it came out great. The problem is, when I format it for PNG or when I want to use it on fresh books or my webpage, the image becomes blurred and the text is not as clear. How do I fix this? Is it because the text get shrunk?

Even when I charge my Mac Pro to the full bar, the battery seems to be drained even when I am not using it. Example, after charging it full, i switched it on the next day and its 79% battery left. Is there something wrong? help please
Assuming you are disconnecting from line power, when you say switched on, do you mean it was shutdown or in sleep mode? If sleep mode the battery will still drain because sleep still keeps some things active and the battery does drain a little. However, to go from 100% to 79% charge overnight is a bit excessive in sleep mode. Unless you have some processes set to activate over night by the cron file and do things like backup the system.
What are the statistics on the battery, the apple in the upper left corner, About This Mac, More Info, System Report, Hardware, Power...things like battery Condition, Capacity, remaining charge, voltage, current. -

‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just canceling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.
