Charged Mobile rate instead of Landline rate

For several years I call my elderly mother in New Zealand from the USA, on her landline, for a rate of 2.3cents. As of this past week, I am being charged the mobile rate of 9.7cents, and the reception is terrible. I have tried to change the icon showing SMS to reflect her landline number, but the same rate of 9.7cents appears..... I need your help please because I cannot figure out why this inconvenience has occurred. I have a subscription of $10 that automatically renews itself whenever it runs down and at the current mobile rate of 9.7cents, I'm using up my skype credit very, very fast. Please advise how I can get back my landline rate of 2.3cents.....thank you.

Actually you are being charged at the landline rate of 2.3 cents per minute plus a connection fee of 4.9 cents per call [not per minute]. You can avoid the connection fee by using a Subscription to fund your calls instead of credit.

I followed these steps, complements of Linc Davis, to fix my issue with blue question marks appearing instead of images. Now the full versions of the sites that weren't working before, work now. I'm not sure if this was what fixed the issue or something else I've done.
Launch the Font Book application and validate all fonts. If it finds any issues, resolve them, then boot in safe mode (shift key down at startup) to rebuild the font caches. Boot again as usual and test.

Does Verizon charge extra for the Droid Charge Mobile Hotspot feature or is it included in the data package? Any extra hardware or cables needed? Does the mobile hotspot work in 3G areas also? TIA

Freight Charges in Rate Contracts WK

I have confgured a pricing procedure and it gets determined when i am creating rate contract. The condition type for freight charges gets determined in item condition but while calculating net price it is not being used. Can anybody please help.

Whenever we define a condition type in M/06 and Tick Accruals flag in control data 2 then by default it is statistical ( does not depend whether you select statistical flag in M/08)
Just go to M/06 for your condition type press f1 (help ) on Accruals you will get the idea
It says
Condition is Relevant for Accrual (e.g. Freight)
Indicates that the system posts the amounts resulting from this condition to financial accounting as accruals.
Use
If you mark this indicator, the condition appears in the document as a statistical condition. "

I live in Australia, my currency in my account is set to AUD and I sent an SMS to Greece which according to this: http://www.skype.com/intl/en/prices/sms-rates/?currency=AUD#cc=GR
should be 15.9c (AU)
When I am in the android app the unit price is shown correctly as 0.159 AUD, however after sending a single message, my account shows:

Which is completely unexpected given the other two price listings.

Absurd charges and rate plans

This is more endowed for corporate and those who believe cell phones are a must in the world. As a commodity or domain in life its hard to reconcile the mainstay of a cellular device and contractual obligations as a forfront to a benevolant lifestyle. I contemplate every billing period conjugating the relation between a phone and internet access, texting and of which can all wait till I am at home and regail others of my daily tasks in life. Is it really necessary to have a one hundred dollar plus bill every month for a service that is regarded as a phone?
By all means I am not spiting anyone to make a decision wether or not to have a cellular device... but on some related fasion through normal conversations bills can reach as high as six hundred dollars a month for familes and plans. This incumbant amount of worthless revenue could be saved by other phone services at a lesser degree of charges...using the same technology.

Yet we harbor feebleness of reconciliation to what society brings immersion as "new" or "the in thing" crippling ourselves into a muster of grievences, rants, or obligitory rulings with no resolve. Its only then will someone stride to stand for whats right or cower aside and choose a lesser field of play. I will not renew in the coming months. Its not the service, the plan, or a phone, but the disproportionality of mainstream secular, non-ethical, matters that depicts my resolve. Other cellular companies are the same, a simpe two way conversation is adequate for my own usage.
Just ask yourself if the cost is benificial to your livelihood? And do you wish to feed the incumbant mongers, or... take a stand and prove that quality is the worthwhile endeavor then what we have today?

Blackberry Travel - Charging in Euros instead of CAN$ !!!

I'm using BB Z10 and I used Blackberry Travel app to book a hotel while traveling in the US (I'm from Quebec Canada). The application has charged me in Euros instead of CAD or US$. I realized this bug when my credit card was charged in Euros. Here are my questions:
1) How do I correct this problem if I want to use the app for future reservations to make sure I get charged in the correct currency?
2) Who should I contact to get refunded for the difference? Note: the application indicates Euros when it confirms the purchase, so Credit card company might not accept the claim.

The settings were okay. However, I believe I found the bug...
In the Homescreen Settings, I had selected French as the Language and Canada Français as the Region.
When I try to reserve a hotel in the Travel App (example Naples, FL), a list of hotels appear with the price per night. The currency indicates CAD (when it's actually Euros). Then when you make the hotel selection, you will see in the next page that the Euros currency is indicated with the same amount as in previous screen.
This error does not occur however, when you select English as the Language in the Homescreen settings, and you try to do a hotel reservation in the travel app, the currency is indicated in CAD and the amount in CAN$.
So, although I was charged in Euros on the credit card, the application misguided me because I thought the amount was in CAN $ when it was actually in Euros. I did get charged what I was supposed to get charged (amount wise) on my credit card, if you do the math (1.31 CAD/Euros exchange rate).

Ipad 2 is associating with mobile phone # instead of it's own #

Hi I recently update to iOS 6.1 on my iPad and when it was all finished with the update i was distracted when it asked me about my phone # for facetime and messaging and i just hit ok then later I realized it pulled my mobile phone # into it instead of it's own number and I can't get it out of there. I restored it back to factory settings and a back up before I turned on my data plan and added it's own number and I still can't get rid of my mobile phone number or change it back to it's own data plan # HELP!

That doesn't solve the problem. I have all those defaults. But in Firefox, it won't let me select for "Portable Document Format" to "Use Adobe Acrobat (in Firefox)" which it used to let me and which is what the Mozilla Firefox help stuff says to do. I can select Adobe Reader but then it downloads it and opens it in a separate reader window rather than using the plugin. If I select to let Firefox "Preview in Firefox", then the Firefox built-in PDF reader will display it. I have added an add-on "pdfViewerSwitcher" which then lets me display in the Adobe Reader plug-in but only after first displaying it in the Firefox preview. So that verifies that the Adobe Reader plug-in works. But I can't set it to always use the Adobe Reader plug-in.
I have some reasons for wanting to use the Adobe Reader plug-in. I use Nuance Power PDF Pro for editing and doing other things with pdfs.
This all used to work and stopped working at some point in the last couple months. And if you search the web, you will find I am not the only one with this complaint.
I don't know whether it is Adobe's fault or Mozilla's fault but at least one of them is broken. And I think it is Firefox since it won't even let me select it but does let me select it for Adobe Forms.

Itunes charged credit card instead of gift card for own ipod app (Australia)

I have sufficient credit on my gift card. The T&C conditions of the gift card allow the purchase for my own ipod. Why then was my credit card charged? This has not happened before as all other purchases came off of the gift card including purchases made after the app was bought. Thanks for your help!

My main iTunes account has credit (because I've redeemed gift cards on it) but when I try to purchase anything in the store, it asks for a credit card.
I have another iTunes account that has credit and a credit card, and anytime I buy anything, it bills my credit card.
How do I purchase using the iTunes credit that is on my account? I don't want anything billed to my credit card, so I just haven't been buying anything on iTunes. But there are some apps for my iPod Touch that I'd really like to be able to purchase.

I'm sorry you weren't able to make a purchase using your store credit. To purchase items on the iTunes Store with your store credit, your account information in your user profile needs to be corrected. I'll walk you through this process to get you back up and running in no time.
1) Visit the My Apple ID website at:
http://appleid.apple.com
2) If the site is not displayed in your preferred language, click the Change Language link in the upper-right corner, type the name of your language in the field that appears, then click the Save button.
3) Click the "Manage your account" link.
4) Type your iTunes Store account name (which is your Apple ID) in the Apple ID field, type your password in the password field, then click the Sign In button.
5) Click "Addresses" in the column on the left. If you have multiple shipping addresses, remove any out-of-date or duplicate addresses by clicking Delete. Also, make sure the state or province field is filled out correctly for each address. To edit an address, click Edit. Edit all of your shipping addresses and make sure the appropriate state is selected in the State drop-down menus.

And it worked the next time I bought an app on my iPod Touch! It was weird that it had my "Primary Address" and "Shipping Address" - though they were the same, I deleted my shipping address, and moved my "evening" phone into the "mobile" phone section, hit save, and problem solved. Weird that it was an address thing (I'm assuming) - perhaps the multiple addresses confused the billing process. It didn't ask to review my billing info when I bought something, but it used my store credit. Yay!

Mobile number instead of VoIP service? (Korea)

Would it be possible for me to gain access to a Korean mobile Skype Number instead of a VoIP number?
For example, the number you get with a Skype Number has a mobile code "(70)," Which stands for a VoIP Service. However, a regular number consists of the code "(10)," which is what I would like, if at all possible.
