Charged over $190 even though my phone is suspended..

Ok, so I'm writing this from Paris, I got an email from verizonwiress that I had been charged almost $199 even though I put my phone suspended at the middle of May. It's so weird how it got activated without my permission, and I'm NOT going to pay something for I had not been used..
I tried to go for a livechat but nobody is answering. It's so frustrating and I have absolutely NO idea what to do. Can anybody help me?

Suspensions are for 90 days not for life.
So end of August it would be active again.
You owe the invoice due. Pay your bill. The mistake is on your part.
You could have gone in a put another 90 day suspension if you needed more time. You did not do this.
And if you don't pay the invoice you get your credit report dinged and it shows up bad for 7 years or more. That even if you now pay it.
Correct information cannot be removed from your credit reports.
Think before you act in haste.
Good Luck

Depending on what iPhone you have when you get to the connect to wifi you should be able to activate your device over cellular data. Try doing a hard reset by holding the home circle button an power button until an apple pops up and the  go through the setup again and when you get to the wifi part a option should be setup with cellular data iPhone 4 and above should give this option sometimes doesn't like showing up that's why u have to do a hard reset first

  • My iPhone 4 recently broke and I did not back it up to iCloud.  Is it possible to back it up now even though the phone is broken?  I also plan on getting iPhone 5, would my information automatically transfer to the new phone?

I had a few questions regarding iCloud.  My iPhone 4 recently broke and i didn't realize that I had to manually activate iCloud in order to back up my files, so therefore the information on the iPhone 4 was not backed up.  Is it possible to enable iCloud now and back up the information even though the phone is broken?
Also, I was thinking about replacing the broken iPhone 4 with the 5, would my information automtically be transferred to the 5 as long as I log-in with my apple ID?
I would appreciate all the help I can get!!!
    Thanks,
    Jae

How can I access iCloud through the internet and not through the phone if thats possible?  Now that I think about it, I'm not 100% sure that I didn't back it up.
    Thanks

How can I change the setup so on the email only the iPad rings and on the phone number only the phone rings?

No it's not stealing. They have an allowance that you can share with so many computers/devices. You'll have to authorize her computer to play/use anything bought on your acct. You can do this under the Store menu at top when iTunes is open on her computer.
As far as getting it all on her computer....I think but I am not sure (because I don't use the feature) but I think if you turn on Home Sharing in iTunes it may copy the music to her computer. I don't know maybe it just streams it. If nothing else you can sign into your acct on her computer and download it all to her computer from the cloud. Not sure exactly how to go about that, I haven't had to do that yet. I wonder if once you authorize her computer and then set it up for automatic downloads (under Edit>Preferences>Store) if everything would download. Sorry I'm not much help on that.

    Hi Peter,
Thanks for participating in the Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like the Mail app on your iPad mini is showing that you have over 500 unread email messages, but your inbox is actually empty.
There are several steps I'd use to troubleshoot this situation.
First, restart your iPad to see if it clears up the symtom:
Restart or reset your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears.
Drag the slider to turn your device completely off.
After the device turns off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button again until you see the Apple logo.
If this doesn't correct the behavior, try removing and re-adding the affected email accounts next:
Get help with Mail on iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support
Delete the affected email account from your device.
Tap Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
    Tap the affected email account.
    Tap Delete Account.
    Add your account again.
If the same thing happens after re-adding the account, you may need to use the steps below to reinstall iOS. You may want to back up your iPad to iTunes before completing this step.
Make sure that you have iTunes 12 or later on your computer.
Put your device in recovery mode.
When you get the option to restore or update, select Update. This will reinstall iOS without erasing your data.

    All the best,

  • T-bird is stuck on a msg in my main email account. I keep getting that msg over and over again even though it says there are 200+ msg waiting to be received.

I have t-bird installed on both my desktop and laptop. The laptop is working fine. They were both running 24.6.0 until I updated the version on my desktop today after the problem occurred to 31.1.2. It still doesn't work. I keep getting the same message over and over again even though it's telling me that there are 200+ messages waiting to be delivered. This can't be an ISP problem as my laptop is on the same network and as I said, is working fine. The differences are: desktop running win 7 64 bit and laptop running win 7 32 bit.

I gave up and went back to your original suggestion. I edited the popstate file and added a delete record for the msg that I kept getting over and over. The format was d longassid 0
The single 0 for the timestamp is what I didn't know before. When I polled again, the record was deleted and the rest of my new messages downloaded.
Thanks again for your help. Without it, I would still be scratching my head.

Turn your phone off and connect your cable to the computer, but not the device just yet. Start up iTunes. Now, hold down the home button on your phone and plug it in to the cable - don't let go of the button until iTunes tells you it's detected a phone in recovery mode. Now you can restore to factory settings.
Unfortunately, the data on your phone is already gone if you're seeing the connect to iTunes logo.

  • Has anybody experienced that the water indicator has been damaged even though the phone has been in contact with any fluids?

My 6months old Iphone 4S started to turn itself of or freeze before shutting down about a month ago.
I've been told it's the top water indicator that is broken and that the phone has been in touch with fluids-which it really hasn't!!
Has anybody else experienced that the water indicator has been damaged even though the phone has not been in contact with fluids?

    Hi,
I'm going to contact you via private message to get more contact info and case number.

  • Charged for repair even though fault caused by Ope...

BT sent out an Openreach engineer to investigate BT home hub disconnection every couple of days, and also slow broadband speeds. He spent over 2 hours fixing line faults outside the house, which should clear the reconnection problem. He then found loss of signal in the wiring between where it enters the house and the master socket. This wiring dates from c. 1990 so is not CAT 5. He replaced the faceplate on the master socket as he said that could be responsible for the drop in signal (it didn't make any difference). After he left we realised we couldn't make outgoing phone calls (the phone called random numbers).
A second Openreach engineer called 2 days later and found there was now a short on the wiring leading to the master socket. With my help he replaced the wire. We have now been charged £129.99 for the second visit. BT claim that the internal wiring isn't their responsibility, even though it is before the master socket and the fault was caused by an Openreach engineer's visit.

The faulty wire was inside the premises but before the master socket. My point is that the short circuit was almost certainly caused by the first engineer. Before he arrived the phone worked, after he'd gone we couldn't make outgoing calls.
When we queried the bill we eventually got a callback (after 2 days waiting and a call from BT to say they were too busy to call back). At first Edna said she hadn't got a record of the first visit. Then she said that it was a coincidence that the phone had stopped working and that it would probably have stopped working soon anyway as it was old wiring! She said that the engineer wasn't allowed to leave if the line wasn't working, but all that happened was that he asked if the broadband was working, which it was. There wasn't a phone test. She offered a partial refund and I ended up agreeing to pay £65 instead of £129.99 for the repair. This isn't because I agree with her "logic", I don't think we should pay at all for a problem caused by Openreach. It's just that life is too short and I am so happy to be almost free of BT.
In fact it didn't quite end there. We waited for a week for the refund to be credited to our bank account. When my husband phoned to chase it, the refund had been credited to our closed BT account...and they wonder why we've left!

  • IPod disconnects & stops charging after syncing even though battery is low

I have a 5G 30GB iPod video, both the iPod and iTunes have the latest software updates, I've only had it a month and haven't changed any of the settings.
When I connect iPod to my computer (a laptop, running Windows 2000), iTunes starts up and begins syncing with iPod as normal. However, if there isn't anything new to sync across, iPod will disconnect itself within 20 seconds or so and stop charging, even though the battery is still nearly empty. I don't think its a power to the USB hub problem as some laptops seem to have, as whilst its syncing it recharges fine, and a long sync period will see it fully charged - I just don't do those very often. Surely there must be a way to get it to recharge through the USB cable when its not syncing?
PS - I've tried the Apple support article on switching on the power to the USB hub, but my 'power' tab on the USB settings didn't have a 'keep the power on all the time' button, suggesting its always on anyway?
    Thanks, Chris

    Any suggestions at all?

I'm sorry to hear about your problems, but I believe that you will have to try to reinstall the phone software because I don't think that these kind of problems are hardware related.
You can reinstall the phone software using the Update Service program which you can download from our website.

  • Help!  iphone 5 was run over by a car. There are 2 apps that I REALLY need, to get on my ipad.  I was able to sync even though the phone itself won't work, so there should be a backup on my computer.  Is this possible? I need the info in the apps.

I kept a journal and my running bank account balance on the iphone.  I am really at a loss without these.  The journal was also my baby's eat/sleep/etc. log. Please help!!

If these apps are also iPad compatible, you can download them directly. Make sure you are logged into the App Store with the same Apple ID that made the purchase. (Settings > iTunes & App Stores)
    On the iPad:
Open App Store > Updates > Purchased

  • New iPhone 6 asks for my girlfriends password to update apps, even though the phone is connected to my itunes account?

My phone is hooked up to my iTunes account, but when i go to update apps, it asks for my girlfriends iTunes password? I only go the phone today, but havent had this trouble before with iPhone 4 or 5.
Can anyone enlighten me as to whats going on? - Thanks

If that's the case you may have to disable wifi syncing in her user account using her iTuens library.  I'm really not sure though.  If someone does, hopefully they'll jump in here.  The problem with chaning libraries is that when you do, iTunes will delete any iTunes media on the phone and replace it with the media in the iTunes library you sync with so hopefully this won't be necessary.

  • Songs I downloaded are missing, I tried to redownload and it wants to charge me again even though it recognizes that I have already purchased the song..

I have songs that I have downloaded and even put on my ipod.  They are no longer in my iTunes library.  I found a help screen that says to download it again.  I tried this, and the iTunes store acknowledges I have already purchased it, but wants to charge me again to download it.  How do I recover songs I already purchased when they aren't in the library?

    You CANNOT download music again.
You buy one and only one download.  It is your responsibility to move/copy/backup your music.
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer.  Use your backup copy to put the music back.
If for some reason you have failed to maintain a backup (not good), then you can transfer itunes purchases from an ipod.  File>Transfer Purchases

  • My iPhone 5c screen is lifting at the corner and the store says it's my fault even though my phone is in an otter box and is in immaculate condition. The manager insinuated that I bent the frame to get a new phone!

My screen is lifting in the corner and the phone is in an otter box and in immaculate condition. Took it in and the manager told me that it's my fault and insinuated that I bent the frame on purpose to get a new phone! I just want my phone fixed. I don't want to pay 300 for another phone when they have already fixed the screen once as it wasn't working.

So call AppleCare and ask to be transferred to customer service and talk to them.
