Charged twice for same album

So I just received my iTunes invoice receipt. It appears that I have been charged twice for the same album. I only have one copy in my playlist. Any help with the correct department/telephone number would be greatly appreciated; I would like to get this straightened out.

    let me assure I've entered my complaint twice and all I get is an auto generated email saying that someone will get back to me.
    If this doesn't get handled properly in the next day or two I'm going to not only never use iTunes again but ditch the apple platform all together.
    I called the number that appeared on my bank statement but it was just a recording to go to the aforementioned web page.
    I'm pretty upset right now and feel totally powerless. A company this big should have a helpdesk to call for this crap.

    As users like yourself on this user-to-user discussion forum, we cannot solve problems like you are having. All we can do is point you in the direction to get help.

    yesterday I ordered Batman Arkham Origins while it was deal of the day. I went to checkout and when I tried with paypal I got an error and was taken back to the order page. so I tried again this time it went through but when I checked paypal I was charged twice for the same order number one listed as completed the other pending. I emailed best buy yesterday morning but have heard nothing.

    Deal of Day is an awesome way to get amazing items for less, and I’m glad to see you took advantage of what we had to offer. Although, I only can imagine your disappointment when you found two charges relating to its purchase on your PayPal account, and I’m sorry for any aggravation this caused.
     As I want to provide you some piece of mind, I pulled up your order number using your email address attached to the forum. After review of its payment information, I found we collected only one payment.  However, when orders are first placed on BestBuy.com, a pending authorization should show up on your bank card to make sure funds are available for the order until it is fulfilled. From there, the authorization should drop off and the collection charge should appear. As you mention that one of your PayPal charges is listed as “pending”, it seems that it might not have fallen off as it should.  However, as Best Buy isn’t collecting the pending funds, your issuing bank should release the pending hold within 5 to 7 business days.
    If this charge doesn’t drop off within the aforementioned timeframe, I would recommend contacting PayPal for further assistance.  If you have any further questions for me though, please don’t hesitate to ask.

    I purchase music using iTunes and was doing it more and more until now. Recently I went to purchase a song and had a download problem in the middle of my purchase. The song did not show up and I went through the process again almost immediately. I recieved the song but was charged twice. After submitting the problem under both purchases (surely they can see they were almost at the same time) I was told I purchased them and that was that.
    This lack of control over things I purchase and inability to actually resolve problems is driving me away from the iTunes store. My advice for everyone is simple. Buy the disc. The more industry moves towards an online verification/must log on to prove ownership model the more we lose. I was a Mac advocate and computer geek since the SE. Enough is enough. It is becoming more of a cruthc than a tool.

    When a download is interrupted, you can just click Store>Check for Available downloads.
    Once you click buy, then it is purchased.
    As with anything, itunes is not for everyone. You are free to shop for music wherever you like.

    I purchased GarageBand on my new ipad2. Then my old iPad went to my wife and she wanted GarageBand. So I downloaded it again on my old iPad. We only have one iTunes acct. which stated some where I could put purchases on up to three devices. What am I doing wrong or am I misunderstanding how it works?

    You shouldn't be charged for downloading an app with an account that has already purchased that app, however it is only after you click the link to "Buy" that you will be told that you have already purchased it, but can download again if you want.
    If you have been charged twice, and didn't inadvertently use a separate account for each purchase then open your account history in iTunes and use the "Report a problem" link attached to the purchase.
    BTW You can authorize up to five different computers at any one time for each account. Each iDevice can hold protected content from up to five different accounts at any one time. The number of different iDevices that hold content from any given account is not restricted.

    If you added or changed the credit card details on your account then you will probably have received a $1 temporary store holding charge to check that the card details are valid and active - it should disappear within a few days (store holding charge).

    I would contact iTunes Store Support or Mac App Store Customer Service depending on where you purchased it.  Judging by this being in the iTunes for Mac category I would go with iTunes.
