Charger stops music from playing on external speakers?!

Every time I plug in my iPhone4s to charge and I'm listening to music, the music stops playing out of the external plugs and plays in the phone as if I plugged it into a music dock. It makes me upset and I can't even hear it through my headphones :(

This is a matter of changing your sound settings under playback and recording tab.
You must set the speakers as the default playback device and as the default communication device.

How do I prevent the music app from playing every time I end a call using my Bluetooth device or headset? It is very annoying when at work and a call ends my music automatically starts to play through the head set or my Bluetooth.

Sorry but this solution is **bleep**. This is a but that needs to be fixed. FYI, the problem show up if you end a call from the headset or from the screen.
Also, the Droid seems to issue stop commands for Music and other apps such as Google Listen. It's another bug that is likely related to the same issue.
Google needs to get off their {word filter avoidance}
and fix the problem. Verizon needs to stop giving out {please keep your posts courteous} solutions and start pressing Google to fix the problem.

Stop music from playing automatically

I have some music files on my website (at http://www.opusonejazz.com/Opus%20One%20Vocal%20Jazz%20Ensemble/Music%20Samples. html), which apparently from a report I have gotten play automatically on some peoples computers (i don't know their system specs). I don't have the files set to play automatically-I checked the Javascript file.
How can I prevent the clips from playing automatically, no matter what a user's settings are?

Your music file are set to not autoplay and your images used in your page are nearly as large in file size as them.

Over 1.5 MB's when it should be 20 KB's. Use something to reduce that file size and don't place so many files on the same page.

Does it consumes "exceptionally" more battery when music is played on external speakers?

I m getting 5-6 hrs of battery life on my ipod nano 6g.i listen to music on my speakers rather than on the earphones dat came with it.So is the battery poor due to my listening music on speakers or there is some prob. inside my ipod?

You should check that the equalizer is set to Flat. Also, Sound Check should be off, because it might affect your sound output. Also, check that the jack is properly in all the way. Nano`s have a tighter jack that some fifth gens.

Stoping music from playing

Just got touch yesterday and would like to know how to stop music from playing. I know you have to press the pause/ play button, but is the a true stop that brings you to previous or other list, or even home...Previously had a nano and when you stopped it it went back to playlist or previous page. As the others said there is no stop, only pause. However, there is an option to pause that's quicker then the others... Just unplug the headphones. The second the headphones are unplugged the music automatically pauses. I've got a radio transmitter for the car that plugs into the headphones and I love the fact that when I get where I'm going I just pop that out and leave. I don't even have to look at the ipod.

I would try in oreder:
- Resetting the iPod:
Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restoring the iPod via iTunes. First from backup and if problem persists, restore to factory defaults/new iPod.

IN SL can't get chime to play thru external speakers

In 10.5 all my computer's sounds were set to be played thru external speakers. Now I can't get the startup chime to do it as it only plays thru the INTERNAL.
Any reason?

Older Macs could play the startup chime through external speakers plugged into the headphone socket; but from a few years back this changed and on modern Macs the chime always comes from the built-in speakers.

been looking for something a bit like it got an old ipod thouch in a audio dock in the kitchen and want to give it access to all my music not just play what is synced
so far my only options is to get an app to use upnp to get the music directly from my nas
or get some app which require the computer to be running and running some program to handle it
and as far as I can tell getting access to stuff synced on the atv is a no go

I watch a YouTube video or any flash video. . And after I hit play, the ONLY way to stop it is to hit pause or let it play to the end or close the tab. .

Trouble copying music from iPod to external HD. Please read.....

I downloaded Ipod Disk to transfer music from iPod to external HD and am having trouble. About 40 minutes into transfer, I get an error message. Some music can't be read. Are those the cds I have on my iPod that friends burned for me (as apposed to store/iTunes bought cds)? Is there a way around this?

Go to iTunes-->preferences and hit the advanced tab. Change the music store location to the external drive. Click ok. It should transfer the songs there.
Does that work?
Also, I doubt it is a problem with the songs. (It could be, but it is probably the program. Senuti and YamiPod work (I have tried them))

I had a similar problem last year when I bought my new Mac Mini. After lots of experimenting it turned out to be power line noise. A filtered power distribution strip cured it.
