I hear you - Now call them back and tell them to read their own suggestions before answering customer's questions without stopping to think if they're giving you the right suggestions - answers.
And direct those so called geniuses to Apple's website - regarding what you read below.
Portables with built-in batteries
Current Apple portable computer batteries are pre-calibrated and do not require the calibration procedure outlined in this article. These computers use batteries that should be replaced only by an Apple Authorized Service Provider.

Why is it when I bought my first generation iPad in October 2010 the sales rep at the Orange County California South Coast Plaza store suggested that I buy Mobile Me service for $99 which he assured me was a one time charge and now, of course, Mobile Me has been discontinued and I've been "forced" to move to the Cloud and I'm being provided with another year of what Apple calls complimentary service with the clear indication that in a year I'm going to be asked to pay again for something I paid a one time charge for two years ago?
Mobile Me was the successor to .Mac (dot mac) which was "free" to all users but for a limited time. It included a free email address @mac.com and an amount of what we would now call "cloud" storage that went by the name of iDisk. iDisk worked great but with only dialup service for me it was barely useful.
So I didn't think much of dot-mac but lots of people thought it was worth paying for, so they did. Apple wanted to make it even more useful and integrate it with their portable devices which we all know as iPads and iPhones, and assembled a team to make it all work. This was to be called Mobile Me.
They failed miserably. Lots of people including me looked at the final product and said "huh?" Unfortunately for the Mobile Me engineers, one of those people was Steve Jobs. He first humiliated them quite publicly, then disbanded the team, including firing at least one senior manager who shall remain nameless.
This was the rocky beginning of what is now called iCloud, which is the "free" service I should have explained. iCloud includes an email address @me.com, and the 5 GB of "storage" which aggregates things like iWork documents, your email, calendars, Photostream, and iPhone backups.
You can buy more storage if you need more than 5 GB, but if you have more than that it's still free through September 2013.
What happens if you have more than 5 GB stored on iCloud and on September 2013 you don't pay? I'm not sure, but you have a year to think about it. -

Is true that I need to charge my ipod 5G 12 hours for the first time?
Is true that I need to charge my ipod 5G 12 hours for the first time? Help me please
No, you need to charge until the battery shows it is fully charged...that can take only a couple hours depending on how far you have discharged it. You do not need to discharge the iPod all the way and then recharge...plug it in when convenient and top up that battery. Plug it in at night so it is charged in the morning.
You cannot overcharge the battery, the charging circuit shutsdown when the battery is fully charged so you cannot harm it leaving it plugged in. -
I have two charges to my credit card for the same dollar amount at two different times. First on 2/27/14 & second on 3/25/14 for $4.34. today's is pending payment and last months has been removed from my account. I have not purchased anything.
If they are regular payments for the same amount then it sounds like you have an auto-renewing subscription - there are instructions on this page for managing and stopping them : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4098

I got my FIRST APPLE, iPhone 5S, about 80 days ago. on the 3-4 times of last battery charges, I found that restarts in last percents of charging process. On the last charge time, restarted and remained off. It is grubby apple :-(( there's no troubleshooting for it?!
my iPhone 5s does not turn on at all , so I can't reset as it is recommended here in support... iTunes message that is in recovery mode... gives Error 40Hold down the Power and Home buttons at the same time for about 10 seconds, or until the Apple logo appears. That forces it into a reboot. If that doesn't work, contact Apple for warranty replacement.

When you say "hot beyond limits? do you mean that the iPod's screen showed the overheating warning?
Durring charging, the iPod can get quite warm. If you have a concern I would make an appoinment t the Genius Bar of an Apple store. How hot is hot is very subjective. -
Battery chargers for Micro Photo? Charging for the first ti
Hello all--
Purchased a Micro Photo for Sister who is taking it to Baja - So no computer for charging.
Would like your imput on Aftermarket chargers, wall plug, car lighter and really about the battery packs that use 4 AA's for charging. Also any hints on charging for the first time, and using the lock button for better charging?
TIALink: http://us.creative.com/products/cate...subcategory=57? and here: http://stores.ebay.com/Creative-Labs-Factory-Store?. When charging battery for the first time,I ordered a "Zen Micro Power Adapter" with the intention to use it for the fist time charging(of battery) to make sure it charged complety... But I didnt wait and went ahead and charged the MPhoto via usb/pc. I put it at 4.00pm went out to the mall with the intention to come back at 9.00pm but I came later than that(0.00) and the MP was fully charged(I beli've) it was like in a "stand by mode" with the screen blank.

do i have to charge my replacement macbook pro batter for a certain amount of time before using the computer?
First, if you have a Late 2008 or older MacBook Pro, you should calibrate the battery, as the battery for these MacBooks don't come precalibrated > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1490?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US
Then, the battery should come charged, so use it until the battery percentage is low, and then, charge it. You can use your Mac while your battery is being charged, and your MacBook will stop charging the battery when your battery is full, so you can unplug it at any moment -
So i have an apple ipod touch 1st generation and it is not charging! It shows the charging sign but its taking a really long time to charge. Ive had it charging for at least 3 hours and it still says under 20% so can someone help me figure this out??
Not Charge
- See:
iPod touch: Hardware troubleshooting
iPhone and iPod touch: Charging the battery
- Try another cable.
- Try another charging source
- Inspect the dock connector on the iPod for bent or missing contacts, foreign material, corroded contacts, broken, missing or cracked plastic.
- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

My iPad won't charge after plugging into my computer and after holding down the power and home button at same time for 10 seconds… Can anybody help? Has IOS7.0 but not the most up-to-date version
It's just the battery sign - nothing else. I've tried to reboot by holding down both power and home key for 10+ seconds, waiting for the apple logo - but nothing happens. It's plugged into the imac at the moment. I tried to recharge it overnight using the normal charger - but no luck. It went dead during a Skype call with a friend - even though it was powered into the mains - albeit at a low battery level at the time

In addition to the FormsCentral subscription charge ($152.87 including tax) I was billed about the same time for $15.93. I can't find any way to get in touch with anyone from Adobe. The phone number I'm supposed to call is cut off on my invoice. Can someone respond ASAP? Thanks
I have forwarded your request to the support team that should be able to resolve this issue for you quickly. Expect to hear from them shortly.

Howdy. I keep getting a message stating that my apple ID has been disabled. I recently contacted my CC company, AMEX, for several fradulent iTune charges, which is probably where the problem first originated. How can I resolve this issue?
I had to dispute several unauthorized charges to itunes. My apple id was disabled after that. I followed jarnoldus's (older post) advice and it worked. Im duplicating his entry here with a few modifications. I hope this works for you.
1. Go to https://getsupport.apple.com
2. Choose your product (mine was ipad)
3. Click the "iTunes, App Store or iBooks" icon
4. Click "Apple ID account security"
5. Type in "apple id has been disabled"
6. Choose your country (mine was US)
7. Choose the "talk to apple support now" option
8. Provide the info they request (name, email, phone number)
9. They will call you right away.
Explain your apple id has been disabled. The rep will connect you to an iTunes rep. He/she will look up your account. You will be required to answer your 3 security questions. You MUST get a minimum of 2 correct. If you succeed they will enable your id. Good luck! -
I am a student and would like to take part of student edition. I'm graduating in June, I will be charged with the full amount of time or for student price for 12 months?
Carine17088327 which Student and Teacher edition are you referring to? This forum is primarily regarding perpetual version of Adobe Creative software which included a discount for education users.
