Charging iPad 2 in the USA

I have an iPad 2 I live in Australia soon I'm traveling to the USA for a holiday my question is: how can I charge my ipad 2 in the USA knowing the power voltage is different then what it is Australia please help?

The Apple charger works with AC power of 100-240V and 50-60 Hz. The 2-prong plug on chargers sold in the US for US power outlets. The US has 110V @ 60Hz. Are you having to use a plug adapter currently to fit Australia AC outlets. If so, then Apple's standard charger will work in the US.

I have both the ipad mini and ipad air. Both have SIM card capability, which I have never used.
We are travelling to the USA later this year and I want to be able to get sims for each of them once in America.
I asked at an Optus shop this morning and she said I would need to check with Apple to see if they were locked or
Unlocked. I have no idea what she is talking about. I can only assume she means with a carrier ??? I purchased
One from JB Hi-Fi and one directly from Apple. Why would either be locked ??

no it's not but if your iphone is sim locked with an uk carrier you need the carrier to unlock it before you can use other sim cards
about using the "cloud" for whatever purpose require an Internet connection wifi or cellular

Yes, but you may find that it charges very slowly. An iPhone charger usually only puts out 5w/1amp, whereas a charger for an iPad puts out 10w/2.1amps. If you find that the iPad does not charge fast enough, then get a charger for the iPad. Most modern chargers will put out what the device asks for, but cannot put out more than the capacity for which it was designed. So an older charger only designed to charge an iPhone may only put out 5v, but a newer charger designed for the iPad can usually charge either device. I bought an iPad in the USA and registered it in Sweden now back in USA and I can't use an iTunes card on my iPad because it not registered in USA . Does anyone know how I can use the iTunes card ?

I need help using an iTunes card on my iPad purchased when I was in the USA and registered it at home in Sweden. Now I am back in USA and the iPad says iTunes card won't work on a foreign iPad. Is there a way to use this iTunes card?

What store are you trying to purchase in? If its a U.S. card - you have to use it in the U.S. store.
Go to Settings>General>International>Region Format>United States. Then go to Settings>Store>Tap your Apple ID. Tap View Apple ID. Enter your password. Go to country/region and make sure that you are in the U.S. store in there.

I want to buy and use an iPad in the USA whilst on holiday, will it work still if I take it back to the UK?

I can't seem to find a discussion that says 'I bought my iPad and used it in the USA' as this is what I want to do and then take it back with me when I go back to England.

The iPad is probably higher than your personal allowance
if so VAT and and duty is payable depending on how long you are in US
If you do't declare the iPad and get caught ,not worth thinking about
in terms of cost and possible penalties

Charging iPad through the computer

Hi there-
I ahve a question, is there a way to have my iPad charge while it is connected to my laptop ???
When I hook it up, it says "not charging" in the upper right corner where the battery icon is located, what can I do about that ???

Most USP ports on computers are too low in power to charge iPad. That's why yo usee the "not charging" sign. It is actually charging, but VERY slowly. This is why your iPad came with a 10W Charging cable and is really the only efficient way to charge your iPad.

I purchased a used IPad in the USA to send to our charity in Ghana. It was posted from Nevada and was never delivered. I have purchased another Ipad and want to use the Apps I purchased on the missing Ipad? What can I do?

To Clarify above. I purchased a 1st generation Ipad to send to our charity in Ghana. I posted it off from Nevada US Postal service and it never arrived inl Takaradi Ghana. My belief is that as the customs declaration said "Ipad" it was too good an oppertunity for a postal worker between the US and Ghana to get a free Ipad.
After waiting a few months to confirm the loss, I purchased another Ipad at Schipol airport Netherlands as I was travelling back to Ghana this week. The cost was considerably more than the used Ipad and I am now out far more than I budgeted for.
My question is: How can I download the paid apps I had on the stolen Ipad on to the one I have just purchased. I have all the details concerning the stolen Ipad but no the seriel number. Any help appreciated.

Apple (and no one else) can not assist (with serial number or iCloud) in finding a lost or stolen iPad.
Report to police along with serial number. Change all your passwords.

How do I use Lightning Camera Kit and charge iPad at the same time?

Well, that's the question. I don't like interrupting my creative work only to charge this device, I'd like to have a charger and any other external device working at the same time. If you know such product which has Lighning feed-through with a charger cable output please tell us.

That's interesting. So after all they found an engineer in the company to design an adapter for them. I hope some 3rd part company like from China comes with a functioning USB (called "camera") adapter that does have the charger interface built-in.

Why would you get and use a hotspot plan for your phone when the iPad has 3G built in? Unless of course your phone plan includes hotspot functionality already. Typically a hotspot plan is extra cost. You will have to check with your current phone plan provider as to whether or not your unlimited plan can be used as a hotspot plan. And your phone also has to be capable of being a hotspot.
As for carrier if you decide you can't use your phone as a hotspot, you will need to get an iPad data plan from a local carrier that offers the iPad data plan.

Recently, when charging iPad, the display blinks, alerts and no charging. I changed cable with no joy. BTW: OS7 upgrade on iPad 2 was fairly benign.

Recently, when charging iPad 2 the display flashed and charging alert repeats. Reset, changed cable and still no joy.

Fixed problem - easy. Also OS7 upgrade on iP2 a snap and nothing too weird. All is well.

I am going to the usa this week. although I have a Rogers sim card inserted into my ipad I have not activated it. I don't want to incur roaming charges by activating it and taking it to the usa. any advise,

I am travelling to the usa for 10 days soon, I wish to take my ipad, my hotel doesn't have free wireless. I have a Rogers sim card inserted by the Apple store, but I have not activated it. I don't wish to activate it to use in the states because of roaming charges. any suggestions.

If available in the USA, get a pre-paid micro-SIM card for the iPad and use the cellular network there.
It might be enough for 10 days (check what is available and connection rates) and could serve you again for a future trip to the USA.
