Charging LifeDrive with direct power via Griffin PowerBlock. Can it be done?

I don't like having to charge the LifeDrive via usb to computer. So I had this usb powerblock from Griffin that I use to power my Zune player. The power specs match the power specs of the LifeDrive. I was wondering if it would indeed fry my LifeDrive by connecting the usb side into the usb-in side of the powerblock voltage supply. I ask because I see on other sites that the tip of the connector for power (from the LifeDrive) is small and NOT like that of the connector used to power and sync via usb only.
A little simpler: The powerblock I have plugs into wall and the usb cable plugs into it. I'm worried that the power will somehow not only feed into the correct contacts (to charge it), but will also feed into the other contacts that sync the unit to the computer, effectively blowing my LifeDrive.
Anyone have experience with this dilema?

If you are connecting the USB cable into another USB cable port then the device should be OK. USB standards signify the function of each pin in the conector and the voltages, they are universal for any USB cable/port.
You can do a Google search for an AC power supply for your lifedrive.
I found one on ebay.

Usually they ask for your credit card security code (the 3 or 4-digit code on the back or front of your card). Can you check the wording carefully and see if that's what they're asking for? Try putting it in and see what happens.

IPad 3 charging issue with 10w power adapter

Hi everyone,
About the beginning of November, I purchased my first iPad. This is an iPad 3, wifi. Up until yesterday, I was able to charge my iPad using the 10w power adapter and cable from the box.
Since yesterday, that doesn't work anymore. I searched the internet but couldn't find a solution.
- I can charge my iPad 3 using my Macbook from late 2009, but it goes very slow. I don't get the screen and sound saying it's charging. I want to charge overnight and can't leave my computer on overnight.
- When I try to charge the iPad using the 10w power adapter and cable from the box, nothing happens. I don't get a lightning bolt or message saying it's charging. I don't get a message saying "not charging".
- I tried different outlets around the house, including outlets directly on the wall.
- I tried using my iPod classic from 2007 cable, no change. I hadn't expected it to work since the cable is fine, it's the power adapter that doesn't work.
- I tried rebooting, also a cold reboot. No changes.
- I can't take this to an Apple store since there is no Apple store near me.
- I'm not playing games on it.
- It doesn't charge when I plug it into the wall overnight.
This became a problem after using my iPad for about two weeks. Anyone who can help?

I ended up buying a 12w adapter. Because I'm not near an Apple store and the nearest one charges 30 euros an hour to even take a look, that's not really an option. That store also doesn't sell the ipad I have. Buying a new adapter was cheaper, and I can have it mailed home, and at least I'm sure it'll work and will go a bit faster.

Airport utility cannot find my Airport Express, repeated rescans, nothing, even with direct connect via Ethernet. Help!

I use Airport Express to stream iTunes to my home stereo. This is the ONLY thing I use it for. It quit working and now Airport Utility cannot find the Airport Express unit, even after repeated re-boots of all components, resetting the Airport Express, even when connected directly to my router via Ethernet. I use a D-Link wirless router.
I downloaded the latest Airport Utility, but it will NOT work with XP (from the Apple website, not my words).
The Airport Express will achieve a solid green indicator after reset, but Airport Utility cannot find it. Until Utility can find and recognize the Airport Express hardware, I cannot adjust or reset any settings, etc.

The latest version of AirPort Utility.....5.6.1.....will only run on a Windows 7 machine.
Try AirPort Utility 5.5.3 for Windows (make sure that you have Service Pack 3 installed on your PC, otherwise the application will not run on an XP machine).
The Airport Express will achieve a solid green indicator after reset, but Airport Utility cannot find it.
After a "hard reset" or "factory default reset", the light will not be green.....it will be slowly flashing amber after it restarts. See this Apple support document for more information on various resets:

Charging MacBook with 240V Power Supply

I am traveling to South America. The battery chargers for both my Pentax and Canon Digital Cameras indicate they accept input: AC100-240V~50-60Hz. I see no such indication for charging my MacBook. Will I need a power converter or will I be able to charge my MacBook by simply using the appropriate plug adaptor?

It's there it is just hard to read with the little letters. They are rated 100 VAC to 240 VAC so your good to go. All you need is the slide on adapter to make it fit the correct plug.

Charging iPad with 230v power

We're going to Myanmar where local power is 230v. The usual limit is 220v - do we need an adapter? (All other questions of this type focus on 110 or 220, not 230, so I'm honestly not sure).
We need an adapter for the plug anyhow, and a surge protector as surges are common, but we're stumped about the 230v charge.

The power adapter is universal. It's rated 100V to 240V.
You can buy a power strip that have power surge protection to protect your charger.

be sure they are activated.
Imap if you want to access it from several places. That way you have the original on Gmail-server and copies on your pc.
Pop on the other hand loads down the emails. perfect if its just one pc.
(i'm not sure the Gmail-server deletes them thou).

Why do I keep getting charged for NHL stuff I didn't order, can't use, don't want?

2nd consecutive month. How much time does Verizon expect a customer to spend every month getting their bill straightened out? If there was a simple way to email the details, I wouldn't have a problem. I tried yesterday and today on customer support chat, but all agents are busy, Same exact problem last month cost me a couple of hours too. I would have thought they would have fixed it so it didn't happen again, not just reverse the charge when I complain. I wonder how much income Verizon puts in their budget for people who don't have the time to dispute unordered and unwanted extra services?

Hey I'm not new to Logic, but I AM new to using this macbook pro. I can't seem to use coreaudio as my input, and choose the built-in mic as my input source. I have gone to system preferences > sound > input > built in mic and it is selected. Coreaudio is selected as my driver in Logic. Please help, or just tell me "you can't do that."

Try making a aggregate device that contains your isight in "Audio MIDI setup" and go from there. I did this briefly a few weeks ago just to see if it could be done and it worked.

Thanks for the tip. But when I hooked the iPad to the wall charger (which is a power supply too) using the same USB cable, I was able to turn it off. How come?
