Charging my iphone in europe

Hi all
Does anybody know if I need  a 110/220 converter to charge my iphone in europe or just need the plug adapter

You'll only need the plug adaptor.  The charger is 100-240 V, 50/60 Hz.

Is there an adaptor so I can charge my iPhone in Europe?

If you are using the Apple supplied iPhone charger, you will simply need a plug adapter(s) for the AC power system in Europe

Please, Need power adapter from an iPhone 5 Europe to charge it in canada?

You just need to get an adapter for the plug pins
No need for a voltage adapter, just look for 120/240 50/60Hz on the label and if you do see it you're set for North American power.

  • Charging iPhone in Europe and Russia.

I will be traveling in Europe and Russia. I have the Apple World Travel Kit which consists of plug adapters for countries and regions, a power adapter, and a USB cable and connectors.
Can I safely plug the World Travel Adapter into European 220-volt outlets to charge my iPhone, i.e., does the Apple World Travel Adapter adjust for 110 or 220 volts?
    Michael..K

The Appke chargers are all universal on voltage and frequency, 100-240 volts, 50-60 Hz, you can safely plug in with either the World Traveler adapters or plug pin adapters available at many international airports.

  • Charging iPhone in Europe

I tried very hard to find the answer to my question, maybe it is too basic. We are traveling to Europe. Can I charge my iPhone with 220 volt electricity without frying it?

Well, there's really no debate about the not necessary part. The AC power adapters for almost all modern electronic appliances are auto switching, so all that's needed is a proper plug adapter. Personally, I've traveled from the through Europe, Africa, etc., with phone, computer, razor, etc., and never needed a converter.
The 'bad idea' part is more debatable, true. First off, if you don't need it, why use it? Second, quality and condition of the converter are a factor - low quality units (or higher quality ones previously damaged by surges) produce inconsistent voltage fluctuations, which can lead to excess heat in the converter and in the AC adapter connected to it. Also, as noted on the site you link, converters are generally not rated for continuous use. Some of the transformers (at the bottom of the page you link) are rated for that.
You also mention use with 'other appliances' - personally, my wife has 2000 W hair dryers and curling irons, either of which exceeds the capacity of a typical converter. Instead, we typically purchase inexpensive 'local' hair dryer for use while we're there, and give them away when we leave (only if needed - when in nice hotels in Europe, they are provided, but not, for example, in small towns in Rwanda - but there, the problem is not availability of appliances or whether or not you have a converter, it's whether or not there's electricity at all, or even running water ).

Can I use my iPhone in Europe?

Indeed you can. Beware of data roaming, charges, however, where you are charged through the nose for a data connection abroad. Your phone company may sell overseas data plans, or you may consider getting a SIM card for one of the providers of the country you're visiting.
You can turn off data roaming in Settings --> General --> Network --> Turn Data Roaming to 'off'.

  • HOW MANY HOURS DID YOU CHARGE YOUR iPHONE FOR THE 1ST TIME OUT OF THE BOX?

    As the title says.
And how soon does the battery start to finish when watching YouTube after a FULL CHARGE?
I can watch abt 3 or 4 videos (between 2 to 10 mins long each) + searching youtube for a minute or two before I notice the FULL BATTERY starts to drain :S
So in total lets say after 15 minutes my battery starts to go down.
Is that normal? or is something wrong with my battery?

I provide you a link yesterday with this and other information about the battery which answers this question so here it is again.
    http://www.apple.com/batteries/
+Lithium-ion batteries pack in a higher power density than nickel-based batteries. This gives you a longer battery life in a lighter package, as lithium is the lightest metal. *You can also recharge a lithium-ion battery whenever convenient, without the full charge or discharge cycle necessary to keep nickel-based batteries at peak performance.*+
Charging an iPhone battery for 15 hours doesn't accomplish anything. After the battery reaches 80%, it reverts to a trickle charge for the remaining and when at 100%, charging stops. Charging can't go past 100%.

    Hello candymerna,
At this point I would recommeng resetting the device if if will not turn on.
    Resetting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

    Power/Battery
Battery does not charge from the USB power adapter
Important: Only original iPhone can be charged from a FireWire-based power source. If iPhone is connected to a computer that's turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the battery may drain.
Verify that the outlet being used is working.
Try another USB power adapter if available.
If no other USB power adapter is available, try connecting to a high-power USB 2.0 port (not a keyboard). The computer must be turned on and not in sleep or standby mode.
Try another USB cable if available.
Also refer to iPhone and iPod touch: Charging the battery.

  • Found a dead spider in my charging port (iphone 4) this morning. Now phone wont charge at all... What can I do? It's now all totally cleared of lint and legs :/

This morning my phone wouldnt charge, I tried three different charging cables. They are lighting up to show they are working, but the phone does not charge or show a symbol or connect to the computer.
So i cleaned out the lint from inside the charging port. and inside all the chargers, some of them were new off the shelf so would not be the problem.
I found a dead spider inside the port. Have blown into it, thoroughly cleaned with a needle any debris and fluff and spider legs etc...
It still wont charge. I have ten percent battery... it's off for now. It is not covered for a chat with apple at all, unless i pay $40 which is crazy expensive.
Any ideas of what to do to save this phone? Obviously i cant back it up because it wont plug in to anything.
For now it is not on charge, just trying to let it dry out.
Probably i squashed this spider when plugging it in. therefore there could be spider guts all ruining the inside? I don't know how the ports are made. Up until not charging
there were no issues at all.

    Hi lisellemono1,
I'm sorry to hear you are having charging issues with your iPhone; I know how frustrating that can be. Based on your description and the possibility that there may be other debris or residue still in the charging port, you may need to have your iPhone evaluated or serviced.
