    Try resetting.
Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

  • Can I charge my iPod from the USB socket on my tv

Hi, just wondering if anyone knows if I can charge my iPod from the USB socket on my tv No other way at the moment and running low on battery Thanks

Yes if the port puts out enough current (about 1.2 amp (500 ma). If less it may not show charging when the screen is on but it will charge, but slowly with the screen off.

Is the dock connector (where you plug in the 30-pin connector end of the cable) damaged? If so:

  • Can I charge my ipod classic in Germany with the same usb wall charger I use in the USA, by plugging it directly into the correct adapter plug? Or do I need a power converter/transformer?

I will be in Germany for a year. I want to take my ipod classic and charge it with a usb wall charger, like I do here in the USA. Can I simply use the correct wall adapter plug for Germany, or must I use a power converter/transformer in between?

It should work as long as the prongs adapter are adapted to the outlet configuration.

  • If i have to change my Ipod in the USA i have to wait some days or is at the time?

Im from Argentina and in an Apple Store here, they told me that i should change my Ipod 5 because of a problem with the battery. But here we have some problems with the exportation so they said that its better if i have any friend who travel to the USA, and my cousin will go to Washington DC but just for a few days, so i wanna know if he will has to wait some days or if he will get it at the moment. PLEASE I NEED AN ANSWER!! Thanks!!

If you take it to an Apple store in the US, they will test the battery.  If it fails and the iPod is under warranty they will replace it on the spot with a refurbished identical model with a new battery.  If it is out-of-warranty, they will charge you $79 plus tax.  I recommend that your friend set up an appointment at the store to do this, either on-line or by phone.  He will probably need your Apple ID and Apple password (not your iPod password) to do this.

  • Charging iPad 2 in the USA

I have an iPad 2 I live in Australia soon I'm traveling to the USA for a holiday my question is: how can I charge my ipad 2 in the USA knowing the power voltage is different then what it is Australia please help?

The Apple charger works with AC power of 100-240V and 50-60 Hz. The 2-prong plug on chargers sold in the US for US power outlets. The US has 110V @ 60Hz. Are you having to use a plug adapter currently to fit Australia AC outlets. If so, then Apple's standard charger will work in the US.

  • How do I charge my Ipod on the PC without syncing?

I had to make a system recovery and lost all my songs. How can I charge the Ipod without making it sync with Itunes?
I also need help on getting the songs on my Ipod back onto Itunes.
    Thanks in advance

"Also, how do I get the songs on my Ipod back onto Itunes?"
Yamipod may not work for you if you have iTunes version 7 or later although there is an "untested" version.
    Check out the instructions/suggestions here.
    Music from iPod to computer.
There's also another method. I've successfully tested this across several different Windows PCs.
Open iTunes and select edit/preferences/advanced/general. Put a check mark in the box marked "copy files to iTunes music folder when adding to library" and also "keep iTunes music folder organized", then click 'ok'.
Connect the iPod whilst holding down the shift/ctrl keys to prevent any auto sync, and if you see the dialogue window asking if you want to sync to this itunes library, click 'no'.
Then go to file/add folder, open 'my computer', select your iPod and click 'ok'.
The music files should transfer to your iTunes.
If none of these methods work, try CopyPod which also supports the transfer of videos from iPod to computer.

  • How can I charge 15 iPods at the same time?

I have bought 15 iPods to use in my classroom but I hadn't thought about how I was going to charge them.  I thought about a USB hub but am not sure if this would work? Any ideas greatfully recieved.

I doubt a regular hub will work since it will not provide enough power. They share the power.  Look at:

  • Can you watch video on a tv while charging your ipod at the same time?

I was just wondering cause since you connect the av connection (to tv) to the bottom of the ipod, which is the same place where you connect the cable to charge it. . . can you do both simultaneously? thanks.

Not controlling things from AppleTV 2
AppleTV 1 used to be able to output its audio to an Express AppleTV cannot.
    Maybe using Airplay from itunes/idevice.

  • Can I buy an iPod classic in the USA and use it in Germany

    Dear friends and apple users,
I am currently using a MacBook bought in Germany with Mac OS X 10.4.11 and I would like to buy an iPod in the United States as I am staying here for a long time. Can I also use this iPod classic in Germany without any restrictions? I have heard that there is some kind of feature from Apple that makes it possible not to be able to use the iPod outside the USA/with a non-american Apple device.
Thank you for answering in advance,
    my name

I really want to get an iphone, but I'm in the Army and I'm getting assigned to Germany in a few months. I plan for Germany to be my home for a few years. When I looked at Apple stores in Europe I saw they had them in Italy and UK, but not in Germany. My main issue is if AT&T is the service provider in GE. Or do they offer more options over in Europe? Does anyone have any knowledge or experience?

  • Hi. If I buy an Ipod (5th Gen) in the USA, will it operate OK in South Africa? Thanks. Sam

Do you mean iPod or iPhone?  iPod - yes.  iPhone - yes, if it is unocked.

  • Charging My iPod: Do Not Disconnect...?

Everytime I go and charge my iPod, I get the message onscreen warning me of a low battery -- I am fine with that -- but I do not get the icon on screen with the picture of the battery with the lightning bolt through it with the message "charging" at the top of the screen.
    Mine just says:
    "iPod"
With a big red blinking circle with a line through it, and below that it says:
    "Do Not Disconnect"
Why am I not seeing the charging icon...also it takes longer than 6hrs to fully charge the battery; I do not know if the above problem is why it's taking so long or there's a problem with the iPod.
I just bought it almost 2 weeks ago, so it is still new.
    So, what is going on?!
    Michael

When you charge your iPod, do you charge it from your computer or do you charge it from a wall outlet? When you charge your iPod from the computer, it takes about 4-5 hours to charge (at least mine does). However, when you charge the iPod from the AC outlet it normally takes one and a half to two hours.
If you ARE charging it form an AC outlet and it still takes five hours then you probably have a bad battery.
