hi, i bought my ipod shuffle a month ago. since then
i had a problem with the charging, it takes more than
a day for the ipod to charge fully. and i have a
friend who has the same ipod and it takes less than 3
hours for his ipod to re-charge fully. i was
wondering what could i do to solve this problem. i
have already turned off the sleep mode on computer so
i dont know what else to do.
please help me. ;D
Suggestion: UNcheck "Open iTunes when this iPod is attached" in Settings. Then EJECT and disconnect. Take it to your friend's computer and see IF it charges faster...
IF it does, you need to understand why YOUR computer's USB port(s) don't supply sufficient power to charge your Shuffle.

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

I would make an appointment at your local apple store and have them check it out. The warranty covers manufacturer's defects. Unfortuantely, if you inadvertantly cause some damage in your wiggling, it could be determined that you broke the port - regardless if it was malfunctioning before or not. Have them look at it and see what they say.

My iPod second generation 4.2.1 crashes all the time

I've got an iPod touch second generation running 4.2.1 but he crashes a lot times. i've got no jailbreak and 1.9GB left.
when he crash, he start up again or I see weird things that doesn't have to be there.
I tried a soft-reset and restore, what can I do?

Restore as new to factory settings and start over. If there was an existing problem and you just restore from backup, the problem may return. Other than that your device is probably Outside of apples warranty period so it might be time to upgrade to a newer unit. How can i download apps for a ipod second generation

I have an ipod 2nd generation, i know i can't download the ios4 or 5, but i cant download any apps because i need to update but i can't. is there any way around this?

Mate, this really isn't hard to understand.
I bought my ipod touch, have had apps on it since i bought it (i.e. sheep launcher free), they have always worked. I recently formatted my ipod and re-installed the 4.3 update, and as the posters here state, the apps which USED TO WORK FINE now say "requires ios5" or "requires ios 4.4" before downloading, both of which are incompatible with the ipod, making most of the apps that used to work fine completely unatainable.
Why are apps we have ALWAYS used now completely unavailable? Apple, are you really trying to deterr your customers into purchasing a newer device? Why would you want to intentionally annoy your clientele?
Fix this problem please, or you've lost a dedicated customer. I have over 5 ipods. I won't be buying another one if this kinda thing continues - you just forgot about your customers with older devices, i mean microsoft still produce updates for XP, an OS over 10 years old. Why can you not extend the same support for your older customers?

Ipod second Generation sound quality problem.

Hello there,
i´ve been using my nano for 1 year without any problems, with the first version (i think 1.1.3) that came with the equipment.
The sound quality was great until i update it to the last FW. The sound quality is terrible. Very very bad.
Please, how can i reinstall the old version of the FW?

I'm having the same problem. If you find a solution please let me know. Ever since I installed the last update my nano sound quality is awful when I try to play it in my car via my iPod connector or use headphones.

Charging problem Ipod shuffle

Recently purchased (middle November) an ipod shuffle 3rd generation, Managed to get it working and even put some tunes on it and listened to them. Now I can't get it to charge. I had a similar problem at the weekend & thought it might be due to not ejecting ipod before removing it, and somehow (don't know what I did) I managed to get it to work, but I only had the blinking orange lights that went green when I ejected it properly. But it has happened again - this time the computer was switched off as it was charging and now I get no lights at all - I have tried it in 3 computers all with USB 2.0 ports to no avail. I have tried a lot of things on the website but I am now at a loss - may it be faulty? or am I doing something wrong

This thing is a piece of crap. I loved my 2nd generation shuffle, but gave it to my neice when I purchased this one. First of all, it was the headphone problem. The minute I started sweating at the gym or on my runs, the headphones would act up. Now it doesn't hold a charge and shuts off after about 45 mins-1 hour of working out. I totally regret this purchase. Judging by the amount of posts on these discussions for exactly the same problems from multiple users, it is clearly a design problem. Apple should man up and make this right

My Ipod 2 ios 4.2.1 doesn't turn on when i want it to but (sometimes) when it does, it tell me to connect it on itune on the computer. but no computer detects my ipod ... what can i do to fix it?? please HELP!!

Can I use an iPhone 5 charger for charging my iPod, 5th generation

I'm finding it inconvenient to charge up my iPod touch 5th generation: this product is shipped with only a Lightning connector-USB cable but has no power adapter. My Mac does have 4 USB ports but most of the time they are used to connect to my external hard drives. I wish to know whether I can use the chargers of my iPhone 5 or iPad mini 2 to have my iPod charged.

My Ipod touch appears to be charging, but is not. I have the signal and have trien multiple charging cables and sources. What can I do?

- Try another cable
- Try another charging source
- Inspect the dock connector for bend or missing contacts, corroded contacts, broken, missing or cracked plastic.
