Charging US phone in Britain
Does anyone know if a phone bought in US can be charged Britain without a converter. Not to be confused with an adapter.
Most of our chargers will work with 100-240V so that you only need an adapter. Check the label on your charger to see what voltages it supports. If it says 100-240V you don't need a converter or other charger, just an adapter.

When I go to plug in my iPhone 5 to my PC it will charge my phone but it doesn't show up that it's connected to my computer or in iTunes. I have tried just about everything that I can find in the support discussions but nothing has worked. Any other suggestions?
If you have carefully follow ALL of the steps in that article, you are using a USB port directly on your computer and not a USB hub (don't use a front port on a tower or desktop either, as they are an internal hub) and you installed iTunes correctly using an Administrator ID and you have tried disabling your antivirus and firewall then there is no hope of it ever working. Look at the tip again, and go through it carefully, not skipping any steps.
Note, BTW, that an iPhone will not show up on a computer, only in iTunes. If there are photos in the Camera Roll then it will appear in Windows as a digital camera only. -

I charged my phone and now I can't get it to turn on again. What do I do? I can't find a solution here. All I get are error messages.
Try pulling the battery for 10 minutes and putting it back in. Try pressing and holding the power button for a while 15-30 seconds to see if it will respond. Did anything happen to it, drop, submersion, etc. Was it functioning before you charged, When did it last work. Are you sure it charged up and the charger is working.

I am not able to open any app on my iphone. While i'm trying to open an app it just shake the screen and it does not open and remains in the same screen. It worked fine until I charged the phone this evening. After that suddenly I'm facing this. Please can anyone help me to recover this issue? pls!

A restore does. If you are using the iphone as designed, then everything should be on your computer. -
After uploading our phones with the latest update, we have noticed that the battery life has deminished considerably. I now have to charge my phone overnight and two or three times a day. Prior to the update, my battery life lasted me at least a full day. We have several phones in our office and the ones that have updated (4) now have issue holding a charge/battery life. I really liked this phone and can not believe that you are now going to charge us $79 a battery to fix what is most definately a problem with your latest update. I know other people outside of our company that are having the same problem. Not to mention when I called AT&T it was confirmed to me that they are hearing the same issue and then some from other customers as well. Your own people, once I talked to them earlier today, told me they are showing a history of issues that are showing up after the update was put in place. Of course she tried to say, "Maybe the age of the battery and the update both contributed". Whatever.
I want you all to know how disappointed I am in your company for the handling of this issue. I always thought "Apple" was the line I didn't have to worry about having any types of issue. And that you all would stand behined your product 100%. Now I am not so sure.
I would love to hear back from your company on how you perceive the issue with all of these phones that prior to the update didn't have any issues and how after the update THEY ARE NOW having issues. I do not believe this was an issue due to the age of a battery and that was pretty lame to say so. It was fine and now its not.
Please feel free to contact me and help me figure out a way to pay for all of the batteries that will be needed for our company to contiue doing business as needed.

Hi guys.Got a problem with my iPhone 5. I bought it in a shop 4 month ago. After I got a visitor with iOS 7 on his phone he would like to charge his phone with my Laptop and cable.But when he plugged it in it showed a message wich says: " This cable or accessory is not certified and may not work reliably with this phone".
How is this possible? I then phoned the shop and told them my problem. When I gave them the details I also found out that the imei No. in the iPhone is the same as on the original box. But the the Serial numbers are different. I already try the support centre but I’m over the 90 days.And there is no Apple Store in Namibia. I hope someone can help me here. and for the record, i dont think the store where i bought it is an authorized shop.. its just a store who boughts phone's from Apple in a low price and sells it in much more money.. -

I tried every recomendation posted here but none helped me...I live in Argentina and we don´t have local support here, I would´ve ask for a new one but it´s not an option here. I live in China as well and my iPhone5s is the model A1530 I bougth outside China. I have the same problem as Nikatnight with the iPhone while the iPad Air (wifi only) is working like a charm. It must be definitely something related to the carrier since I was abroad few days ago and everything worked well.
If you pay attention at the source of your maps, you'll discover they are provided by AutoNavi instead of TomTom and make them appear in chinese with their own border interpretation. Queries are only acceppted in Chinese (p.e. if I type in english "Los Angeles International Airport" it replies it cannot locate it)
I suppose everything will be fine when you'll be out of censorship....
Perhaps iOS Apple Maps are absolutely useless for expatriate in China.
Use Google Maps instead
BTW, I'm surprised how much Apple might prostrate towards hard power Governments.... No matter what, money are always on top! -

I used my iPod touch power plug and cord in France with no problem. I did need an adapter to allow me to plug our 2-blade plug into their round-post outlets. There are no electronics involved in that, just metal pieces. You can pick those up cheaply online (I just borrowed one at my hotel). (PS - I live in the US).

I just bought my iPhone 4s last April 29, 2014 and have the iOS 7 preset software but then I fully charge the phone and after couple of ours the battery is empty, at first I was shocked since this is a new phone and apple products are known for having a long battery life, so I've done my research then there's a new update which is iOS7.1.1, so I updated my phone's software since it fixes "battery problem" but then I am still suffering for having a shorter battery life. I am very dissapointed having this problem, i have an ipad but i didnt experience such problem. Please help me to have this problem resolve so that I can enjoy my new phone. Thanks!
Thank you for your quick answer. I happen to have a brand new cable (orignal), I just syncronized my other phone and it worked just fine. At least I know is not the cable or the connection. It keeps showing the same error.
Also there's no way I can turned off I try to reset it but the apple keeps poping up. -
I am using iphone 4s and i got a problem after update ios 7.0.3 .It is regularly swithced off after charge and shows 0 percent bettry . i charged my phone last night and when i woke up in moring , i got my phone switched off and and when put it on charging it shown me its starting from 1 % . please tell me how can i resolve this problem .
