ChaRM - 2 approvers of request

Hi,
Is it possible to create scenario were are 2 approvers of change request (and/or) urgent correction?
Customer has request to approve change request by 2 employees to provide double check. Is it any easy way to do this?

I guess you can manage to to that with usage of authorizaton codes in the status scheme.
Thats what the SAP-Help says:
Authorization key
The authorization key is the basis for status-dependent authorization verification.
Example
Whenever a user status is set or deleted, the user's authorization to do so is checked. The status profile, the object type and the authorization key for the user status concerned are checked.
If, for example, you want to ensure that certain user statuses can be changed only by people in a particular group, you assign all those user statuses an authorization key.
Then use authorization object B_USERSTAT to give authorizations for those authorization keys.

ChaRM. Release Transport Request

Hello colleagues!
I need your advice about background user for releasing of requests. I've found information in help that request may be released by [bg.user|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_sm32/helpdata/en/35/613542e454b104e10000000a1550b0/content.htm]. And I suppose that the connection SM_SIDCLNT200_TMW can provide this functionality for user SMTMSSD (determined in this RFC). But during try to release requests in SCMA under CH_MANAGER (context->Schedule) I get error "Processing completed, but has errors", as a result request is not released. I've also found that system even doen't want to use bg.user, but tries to release request via CH_MANAGER. The trace file (ST01) showed me only CH_MANAGER actions during release request. Where can be the problem? Is it normal that system tries to release request not under bg.user?

what is the user CH_MANAGER ? Here might be CH_MANAGER te one who is using the SCMA tcode, And regarding the roles and users and their working please review the guide

On page number 8. now comes to your error, Please understand tat You can not rlease the task in solman, so please ensure all your tasks in the TR get relased from the corresponding satellite system.

CHaRM-Handling old transport request before CHARM was activated.

Hi All,
Recently i just activated CHARM in solman-SM1 for new a project implementation. This CHARM was setup in in such a way that it tie to one of the local IMG project EPROJ in developmemnt-DEV. Now i have one concern and that is those transport requests where created before i activated CHARM.
These old transport requests were crerated directly in DEV without project assigned. Therefore, we tried to assign IMG project EPROJ (the same IMG project setup in CHARM) into those old transport request manually.
Problem : When i tried to perform released step in CHARM tasklist it says that "No transport request found"
Question : How do i make CHARM to pickup those old transport requests?
Really appreciate your feedback as there are a lots of old transport request which needed.

Hi,
If you use Change Request Management, you should always use Change Request Management means to create transport requests; that is, create transport requests in a change transaction or in the task list.
Manually registered transport requests can be assigned to a task list only, not to a change transaction. If you use change transactions ,,,,the system does not take into account transport requests that you added manually.

CHARM : Sequence of transport request to import

Hi,
I'm configuring CHARM and found out below issue.
Scenario.
1) Charm project with project type implementation was created in SOLMAN. The type of change is normal correction. All transport request was created under 1 task plan. The transport was created based on configuration and some of the transport request have dependency to others transport request.
For example.
a)GL account need to be created in FI and was assigned to TR002.
b) MM need to configure the GL account that was created in a) and was assign to TR001
Issue
When the TR was release, how do we ensure that the sequence of import to QAS client and PRD client must follow the dependency of the TR created?

I am working in SAP Solution Manager. I would like to know some concepts regarding CHaRM:
Currently our project is using Transoport Proposal. We will soon shift using CHaRM. But I am not aware of the Technical concepts.
1. How to configure CHaRM with the Tranport Proposal Flow.
2. How to navigate in CHaRM? (screenshots can help).
3. I am aware of the process but still after creating a CHaRM how do the Developer navigate to do a change in DEV system.
will he go through CHaRM. (please explain me).
4. Also explain me the total process from technical point of view till the CHaRM closure.
5. I am aware of SOLMAN in this process where the Charm requests are collected and monitored.
Hope I will get a good guidance from your end....

ChaRM: Customizing of Change Request (IBase/Component)

Hi!
By creation of Change Request the value "IBase / Component" should be filled.
The default values here are: "0" and "0".
Has some one already customizng experience here?
I would like to change the value to e.g. "1" and "314" (my productive IBase).

Hi Holger,
I am not sure about CHARM.
But since CHARM is also based on Service Desk functionality, may be the transaction IB52 can help you.
Executing IB52 transaction, will take u to a screen from where u can select your Installed Base using value help. In most of the cases, there will be only one option.
Just select that iBase, in the following screen, you will be able to see all the attributes of your installed base in the Text tab of the lower right part of the screen which is editable. Here you can make the required changes as you wish.

ChaRM: Creating multiple transport requests

Hi Team,
I am working with Sol MA n Charm urgnt crction (SDHF). I am executing the action "Create Transport Request". The pop-up appears to create the tranpsport request. I have selected both workbench and customizing requests. The transport request got created successfuly in the ECC DEV system. Now i am trriggering the action "Create New transport request". The same pop-up appears. Now i am selecting, ustomizing requesting check box. The action is executed successfully. But the transport has been NOT created in satellite system. Why it so? Can't we have two opencustomizing requests for urgnt corction (SDHF)?
Or any configuration required to enable this?

You cannot have more than one open request for the urgnt correction.if u want to create new request , you should release the existing one You can always create tasks in the open TR.

ChaRM: link between ChaRM message and Transport Request

We use the action 'Release Transport Requests' in the task list of the
Maintenance Cycle to release all assigned Transport Requests. In the
pop-up window that appears we see all Transport Request numbers and the
transport description.
Is there a possibility to add an extra column in this pop-up screen, to
see the link between the Correction number and the Transport Request?

I agree on this one.
However, a naming convention for OSS notes and FRICE is implemented over here.
That's why it would be useful to have an additional column.
The link is somewhere in SAP, because when you go to the tab Project Structure in TA /TMWFLOW/PROJ for the selected Maintenance Cycle, you see which Transport Requests are assigned to which ChaRM msg.

V5.3 Approvers approve request they submitted

Hello Experts,
We are currently using GRC CUP v5.3 SP0.
Approvers continue to be able to approve the same requests that they submitted. We were under the impression that v5.3 would prevent this from happening.
"Approval of the request: Whenever a request is in approval phase, the system validates if the approver and requestor are same. If so, it displays an error message." (Page 22 of GRC Access Control v5.3 Release Notes 2009-Sep).
Is there a configuration item we are missing?

I have configured this setting before and set it to:
Configuration Tab --> End User Personalization
Field Name: Approve Reject Own Requests
Mandatory: Not Configurable (defaulted to No)
Editable: Not Configurable (defaulted to No)
Visible: Yes
This setting affects a user's ability to approve access requests about him. (Mary submitted a request for John and John can't approve the request).
The release notes suggest that we would be able to prevent the requestor from approving the request he/she submitted. (Mary submitted a request for John and Mary can't approve the request for John).
Are there other configuration settings we are missing?

CHaRM-Action "Create Transport Request" is cancelled

Hi All,
when i click on the action "Create Transport Request" and save the change document the following error is displayed
"Action Create Transport Request in system SM2 200 of type Source Systems has been cancelled"
where SM2 200 is our Dev Client in the same Solution manager.
i did add the SAP ROLE "SAP_S_RFCACL" to the user in both the client and gave full authorization
but it did not help.

ChaRM: mail notification to requester

Hi!
I would like to set up an automatic mail notification for requester of the change request (SDCR), when the Change Manager approves or denies them.
The problem I am currently facing:
when the fields "Sold-to-Party"and "Requester" have the same partner/user no mail notification will be send.
Does some one know a workaround to solve this bug?

ChaRM: mail notification of requester

Hi!
I would like to set up an automatic mail notification for requester of the the change request (SDCR).
Scenario:
When the Change Manager approves the change request (SDCR) then the requester should get a mail.
What I have done:
Creation of action condition "Z_mail_to_requester"
for action profile "SDCR".
partner dependent: (00000016 Requester)
First question:
When I look into the change request --> Partner I can see that the requester has another number.
(00000010 Requester)
Is that a SAP bug?
Then I defined the schedule condition:
&Servicevorgang CRM Error.FreeFlag& = X
and
&Servicevorgang CRM Error.Userstatus& [] E0004+DCRHEAD*
My problem: the action will neither scheduled nor executed shen the Change Manager approves and saves the change request.
Can some one hell me please?!

I configured Change request mang. in my solution manager server. now i want to create msg notification for all status changes in charm msg flow, like when change request approved by advisory board a automatic mail should generate for change manager.same as we use in service desk for mail notification.for all status changes.
on approval
on chane req. creation
on on every maintenance cycle phase change........
So please let me know few things which may be used for this activity.
1. PPF application
2. Action Profile
3. Action definition entry
4. smart form.

SolMan 4.0 CHaRM / CRMD_ORDER: Authorize Change Request by CALL TRANSACTION

After creating a Change Request I need to execute the action "Authorize" by some kind of CALL TRANSACTION but until now I have not found a solution for this. There are a few forum questions similar to this one but all I've seen are still not answered.
The problem is caused by the Toolbar Control in screen "Edit: Normal Correction nnn": the dropdown and select actions are not recorded by the Batch Input Recorder and are not executed, the following function code "SAVE" therefore does not work as needed (thus creating the CRM service process and Task List).
To find out what the event handling really does in order to make SAVE work is handicapted by this: I have not been successful in debugging the execution of the event handler.
Before I start to search for more details (which might turn out as a very time consuming advanture) I would like to ask for some help of you. If you have any idea on how to solve the problem, sharing your expertise would be appreciated. Thank you.

1.Did you released the Task of the request in satellite system?
2.What error you get when you check inside the task list of that correction.

Change Request TAB Missing in SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN - CHARM

We are in process of configuring Chage Request Management(Charm).we created a maintenance project and added the ogical component.but unable to activate charm. because the CHANGE REQUEST TAB is missing.
We have followed the steps in SPRO and also followed the NOTE : 903527 except importing the picelist attached but still unable to see the TAB. Our SOlution Manager is at EHP1 sps 2

GRC Report (Request Details vs Approver Details)

Hi All,
I want to prepare a report which gives the request number and approvers at different stages.
I found that information is available in below tables.
1. GRACREQ - With Request ID, Request number, Request Created Date
2. GRFNMWRTDATLG - with MSMP Instance ID, Stage Sequence Number, Stage Status,Approver User
3. GRFNMWRTINST - with MSMP Instance ID, External Key (ACCREQ/REQUESTID)
I am not able to connect GRFNMWR* tables with GRACREQ* tables as I couldn't find any mapping.
However in GRFNMWRTINST table, I could see there is a column called "EXTERNAL KEY"
for example with value as "ACCREQ/529CEC1BA0701A30E1008000C0A8141C".
In this second part of value corresponds to Request ID in GRACREQ* tables.
I am trying to create a table join using SQVI for above mentioned 3 tables but not able to connect
GRFNMWR* tables with GRACREQ* tables.
Someone please suggest how to connect GRFNMWR* tables with GRACREQ* tables.

Hi Sai,
Just make use of two tables GRFNMWRTINST and GRFNMWRTDATLG you will get the required result .
In table GRFNMWRTINST give the request number in EXTERNAL_KEY_DIS and get the INSTANCE_ID . Give this INSTANCE_ID in the table GRFNMWRTDATLG , you will get the stage approvers for request .
