CHARM cannot create transport of copies for BW transport

Hello Colleagues,
I am facing a problem using CHARM with BW system:
I create Request for Change --> Normal Change --> Transport request
then BW developer uses a task in my transport (takes the task under her name) and attaches several BW objects.
At that time objects in the task are locked.
Then Developer releases the task. At which point the objects are unlocked in the Task, but got instead locked in the transport header.
I am trying to "Pass NC to Test", but facing error: TOC is created but cannot be released because of locked objects.
Releasing created TOC manually gives me the same error.
Is there a solution to this issue?
Thank you
Elena

Yes, OSS message came back with recommendation to apply note 1816332 in BW DEV system, after which TOC got created and released with no issues.

  • Transport of Copies for Modif. Adjust. Transports during patch application

    Hi Experts,
I've got two transport requests(Modification Adjustment Transports) in the DEV system containing SPAU and SPDD corrections for patch APPL-19, I need to include these Modification Adjustment transports when I start applying patch APPL-19 in my QTY system, wherein it prompts me to include Modification Adjustment Transports if any.
I've been told to release these requests in the DEV system encorporate both these requests into once and create a single request of the type Transport of Copies, and supply the Transport Request No. of this Transport of Copies request when it prompts me for Modification Adjustment Transports in the QTY system during patch APPL-19 application.
Please help me out with the procedure to create Transport of Copies for my case, also if you could post some theory on "Transport of Copies", it would be highly helpful.
    Thanks Alot in advance.

    Hi,
Check the thread for transport of copies creation.
    Request type  Transport of Copies
For theory check http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/57/38e1a94eb711d182bf0000e829fbfe/content.htm and related links as well which mention how to include objects into a request.

  • How to ceate Transport Request Number for importing transport files

I'm trying to create Transport Request Number for importing transport files.
I've copied the two transport files (K903281.QB8 and R903281.QB8) into subdirectories usr/sap/trans/cofiles and usr/sap/trans/data, respectively. Now, I want to import the transport files using transaction management system (STMS). Before using STMS, it seems like I need to create Transport Request Number, but I don't know how to create it. Could you please let me know how to create it?

    Sanjeev and Sajay,
Thanks for your answer. I was able to import the files successfully as transport number QB8K903281 by using standard STMS transport function after manually adding new transport on STMS. My trouble was from my ingrorance of how to let STMS recognize transoprt number for transport files copied from outside SAP. Again thank you very much.

    Hi,
The lower and upper date ranges are hardcoded. See in LIQS0I10:
    LDATMIN = SY-DATLO - ( 365 * 15 ).
    LDATMAX = SY-DATLO + ( 365 * 15 ).

  • MI31: Cannot Create Physical Inventory Document for a Certain Material

    Dear SAP MM Friends,
Greetings! I am a budding MM functional analyst in our company. I received a call earlier regarding with transaction code MI31 (Selected Data for Physical Inventory Documents w/o Special Stock). The user cannot generate a physical inventory document for a certain material.
The thing is, we no longer have any stock for this material (MMBE). I tried generating physical document again by ticking "Only Materials with Zero Stock" but to no avail.
May I ask what might be the reasons behind? Your prompt response is highly appreciated.
    Thank you very much.
    Best Regards,
    Albert

    Hi,
Please check also the existing physical inventory document for material, probably you still have active physical document from previous period.
    1. Go to MI22 --> select your plant, storage location or you can also specify your material number --> execute.
    2. Check your Physical Document list, at field Status doc. --> if the status is Doc. active, but it is not in your current period, then it could be the problem.
    3. Delete the physical inventory doc that you found in step 2 (use tcode MI02 --> physical doc, year --> choose delete button)
    4. Try to create new physical document for the material.
    hope this help.

  • Error while creating inter-company invoice  for stock transport

    Hi ,
I am facing following errors while creating inter-company invoice for STO order.
We have scenario where standard PO is created in  company code A  & then replenishment delivery is created in company code B.While raising inter-company invoice to company code A, we are facing problem.
In replenishment delivery we have 10 line items. But  when we try to do inter company invoice through VF01/VF04 we get following log
XXXXXXXXXX(delivery Number) 000000 Customer XXXXX: Customer master table KNVV is missing (VF-022)
XXXXXXXXXX (delivery Number)000010 The bill-to party could not be determined (VF-047)
XXXXXXXXXX (delivery Number)000010 The payer could not be determined (VF-048)
With this first line item from delivery is not flows to invoice & if we saves this invoice then it is get saved with account determination error as some of the data does not comes into invoice header like account assignment group for customer, Payment term, destination country, region, tax classification for customer etc. That means invoice gets created without first line item from delivery with account determination error & so,no accounting document gets generated.
I checked customer master for all SP,SH,BP,PY they are correctly maintained. This was working fine few months back, but not working now.
If anybody had come across such kind of scenario, your valuable inputs will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks & kind regards,

  • Cannot create a dump file for a process

    Hi fellows,
I have a problem creating a dump file for an application. The application consists of C++ and C# dlls. It runs in Windows 7 64bit environment.
I constantly receive the following error:
ERROR_PARTIAL_COPY:  Only part of a ReadProcessMemory or WriteProcessMemory request was completed.
and only a part of the dump is created ~ 400 MB (should be ~900 MB) although there is enough space on the disk drive.
I have tried the following options:
    - Task Manager -> Create Dump File
    - windbg (64bit version): .dump /a
This happens only on two machines and not on all the rest (~20 more).
All of them are equipped with Windows 7 64bit, the application is build in 64bit
Note that if I use the option /mA when calling .dump it creates the dump without errors. From the MSDN documentation:
The /mA option is equivalent to /ma except that it ignores any failure to read inaccessable memory and continues generating the minidump.
    My questions are:
    1) What can be the case when the memory being read is inaccessable
    2) Why does it fail creating the dump file for only 2 machines

Okay, after reading the post here are the results I got:

    1) windbg is unable to tell me which the mapped file is
    2) I have tried it several times and strangely always the problematic adress is 0x800000000 ... isn`t that weird ?

  • Cannot create an accounting document  for year-end-closure

    Good morning,
I am dealing with an urgent issue related to the year-end-closing.
The accounting document cannot be created because the account 9600700000 does not exist in standard chart of accounts.
The system wants to pick up an account which is used by the chart of accounts of the country CAGR. This is used for the analytical ledger at the end of the month.
When I compare it with another example which was posted correctly, I see that the account 9600700000 was used in the Special ledger.
Do you have any idea how to create the accounting document?
    Thank you very much.

    please help me,

    Hi,
In order to narrow down the cause, I’d like to recommend you can try the following troubledhooting:
    1.  Check if the distribution group exists in ADUC on your DC server. And you can refer to the following path:
    DC>ADUC>Domain.com>users
    2. Create another distribution group to have a test.
I refer to the following article to create a new distribution group, and it works well:

  • Cannot create SOA-MDS connection for JDBC driver issue

I am unable to create a SOA-MDS connection in JDeveloper 11.1.1.6. We are using MS SQL Server database and have put the sqljdbc4.jar file into a library in our JDeveloper environments. We can use this to sucessfully create database connections.
However, when we attempt to configure a SOA-MDS connection which uses our DEV_MDS connection (which uses the com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerDriver successfully), we do not see anything in the drop down list for 'Select MDS partition'.
While looking at the Messages, log, we're getting:
WARNING: Error reading db partitions for connection DEV_MDS. Reason: MDS-0003: error connecting to the database
Error during pool creation in Universal Connection Pool Manager MBean
    ...ClassNotFoundException: com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerXADataSource
I opened our sqljdbc4.jar file and see both the SQLServerXADataSource.class and SQLServerDriver.class files in there.
So why can JDeveloper load one of them but not the other at runtime? Do I need to add the sqljdbc4.jar to a second location (besides a custom Library) in order for the Universal Connection Pool Manager MBean to load it via JDeveloper?
    Please advise,
    Michael
NOTE: I can manually query the database and see 'soa-infra', 'owsm' and 'obpm' partitions just fine.
Edited by: mscongdon on Aug 14, 2012 9:33 AM

    Hi,
Do you use MS SQL Server as your MDS database? Did you create an MDS in it using RCU?
When you created the database connection in JDeveloper could you test it succesfully? Can you connect to it with the Database Navigator?

  • Cannot create or delete activities for a project

I am attempting to set permissions for developers under different project workspace folders. I am the DTR administrator and have done all initial configurations at the root and system level as per the SAP help documentation after creating a "New DTR Client". I have a workspace folder /ws/XYZ. I gave user USER1 full privileges to /ws/XYZ so that he can do development on that specific project.
But USER1 is unable to create an activity during the process of a new DC creation. Here is the error I get
    17:33:13.319  FAILED: Creating activity failed: act_w_JDITEST1_intel_JDI_TEST_dev_inactive_u_bvedamur_t_2006_03_07_01_33_13_GMT_97971c06-3fbb-47b4-b1b1-a693fcc0ceb9 - Forbidden [(pre||post)-condition failed: DAV:access-denied]
USER1 has "NWDI Developer" access and has been assigned all privileges under /ws/XYZ. What am I missing here.
    Appreciate any help.
    Thx
    Bhaskar

    Hi Bhaskar,
Follow these rules when assiigning the previliges:
    Authorizations for the DTR Client
With these settings, you can use the client to display the content of a DTR.
    / - read
    /vh - read
    /ws - read
    /wsh - read
In order to make changes (create files, check in activities, upload files, and so on), you need these extra permissions:
    /act - read, write, checkin
    /wr - read, write
    /vh - write
    /wr - read, write
In addition, every user needs the privileges read, write, and checkin for the resources to be changed, and the checkin privilege for the respective workspace.
BTW: It's not a good idea to give full rights to every developer, the access to the different tracks should be given by the power user/manager or NWDI administrator regarding the SC/Track lifecicle.
Also you need to follow the ACL rules:
Rule 1 – final Before All Children
    Rule 2 – ignore inheritance
Rule 3 – Child Before Parent
Rule 4 – user before group
Rule 5 – deny before grant
And be careful with the deny rule as it's very powerful and overwrites all other rules.
No developer should have access to /ws/system
If you use "deny All users" to some resource, be sure that you give explicit access to Admin user to this resource as rule "user before group" is before "deny before grant".

  • Cannot create assembly in SQL2012 for system.web?

Using SQL2012 I am trying to create an Assembly with this code.
    CREATE ASSEMBLy [system.web]
    FROM 'C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\System.Web.dll'
    WITH PERMISSION_SET = UNSAFE;
    GO
It fails along with a whole bunch of warnings. The failure message is:
    Assembly 'System.Web' references assembly 'system.web,
    version=4.0.0.0, culture=neutral, publickeytoken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a.',
which is not present in the current database. SQL Server attempted to
locate and automatically load the referenced assembly
from the same location where referring assembly came
from, but that operation has failed
(reason: version, culture or public key mismatch).
Please load the referenced assembly into the current database
    and retry your request.
Does this mean that there is another system.web someplace that I need to load?
    Thanks
    Tom G.

    This
    CREATE ASSEMBLY [system.web]
    FROM 'C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\System.Web.dll'

Worked for me.  But you really shouldn't do this.  What functionality are you looking for from System.Web?  You should try rather hard to find a way to do this with a SAFE or EXTERNAL_ACCESS custom assembly, instead of bringing in additional

It's unsupported and hard to maintain.  Whenever the .NET Framework on the server is patched, or you move the database to another server you may need to re-load the assemblies.

  • IPhoto STILL cannot create successful Faces DB for me...

I have patched iPhoto with every update (including the recent one), and I have duly deleted its failed face_blob.db and face.db files (from the last times it's failed). It takes maybe 40 minutes trawling thorugh my @8.5K photos, yet I still see no faces.
Has anyone else had iPhoto refuse point blank even after the last patch?

Well something is wrong with my Faces also. I have a spanking new copy of iPhoto 09, it's updated to 8.0.4, and I attempted to add in an old library - which was successful and I can see all my previous photos just fine (after allowing iPhoto to convert from iPhoto 6). But Faces just goes and goes and goes and goes. It's been trying for over 4 hours and I only have 695 photos total in this little iPhoto library! What's adding insult to injury is that I can't even access the "name" feature to add my own faces. Apparently I have to wait days? weeks? forever? for iPhoto to attempt the job on its own.
I've tried several times. The first time, I tried to Quit iPhoto and start over but it told me it was "in use." I finally force quit, rebooted; still locked up. Rinsed, repeated, and the next time tried restarting by holding down opt-command to rebuild the database, but it wouldn't even do that because the program was "in use." So I force quit again, removed the iPhoto library entirely (had a backup copy elsewhere). Started over. Same result. Surely it shouldn't take this long to try to find faces in 695 photos? I could have added faces by hand in this amount of time! The blue progress bar went about an eighth of the way in fairly quickly but hasn't moved since.
Isn't there any way to bypass the automatic search for faces and just add them ourselves as desired?
