Hi, I have the follwoing to create a query and the associated chart.
good 90-100, fair 70-90, poor 0-70
While I can get the chart without any issue, the customer demands the backdrop of the chart has to be
painted with red, yellow and green colors as above ratings and a line chart then be drawn over it showing all other data, 90.2 75.1, 60.9, 82.5.....you guys get what I am saying.
Is that possible in any of the SAP query BI tools, can you all suggest something, any other ideas.

Applications not updating just show icon with line through it but not responding

App Store shows 6 updates available. Clicked on update all and now it is just in a frozen state. The icons for the Apps are dim with the line that is traditionally there when updating, but nothing is happening. If I click on the icons it say Unalbe to Download Application at this time. I have checked and am able to update Apps on my iPhone but not iPad. Any Ideas???

Are you able to access the internet using Safari? If not, you may be having a problem with the iPad's WiFi connection. Try unplugging the WiFi router for a few seconds. Then reset the iPad's network. Go to Settings-General-Reset-Reset Network Settings.
If you are updating Apps from the App Store App on your iPad, you might also try updating by using iTunes on your computer.

i Have a problem with my Mac mini starting up...
a Couple of months ago I had an issue with my iPhones syncing to iTunes, I contacted apple support centre for assistance and got it fixed after weeks of struggle with apples technicians helping night after night we figured out that the only way to successfully get the iPhones synced we had to create a new user account which was the last resort we wanted, the. Helped me installing OS X numerous times and did report and all the was to do ( to much to explain). So they suggested that the only was with the new user account but advised that when I have backed up everything I should contact them and the would help me format the hard drive and installing everything onto the Mac mini from scratch, so I did that and got the hard drive formatted and choose the option to install a new copy of OS X off the net via the disk utilities centre on the Mac mini on downloading completion the Mac mini rebooted and started up by hanging with with the startup screen so I switched it off and switched it Back on after a couple of minutes i got the apple changing into a circle with a strike thru?
I Have tried installing a OS X on a external and changing the booting device but the Mac mini doesn't respond anything done on the keyboard?
IS there here any one out there that would be able to advise how I can try and fix this myself?

Display exceptions with Report Designer

i want to create a Report with the Report Designer.
My Data Provider is a Query with exceptions.
Now the Report Designer don't show the exceptions.
Is there a possibility to show exceptions with the Report Designer?

Right, unfortunately the report designer does not support Exceptions.
I ask me, why not?
The representation of very good or negative values with different colours, would be a useful feature. Thus you must mark every single cell hand by hand in corresponding colours and must also know the exactly position of the suitable value.
Is there a workaround?
Does anybody know, if this feature will be a part of Report Designer in future?

S10-3: colored dots line at start up

Hi,
I have observed that whenever I start my netbook, just before the desktop appears (the last `black screen`) I get an interrupted colored thin line at the top of the screen (blue, yellow and white dots).
Is this a sign that I have some problems with the video card or the display? Is it normal?
Can anyone help?

No harm, indeed, the netbook works just fine, but I was just wondering whether it is not an indication of a minor problem with the graphics media accelerator or the display, or something else from this area ...
Also, I have noticed that when turned on from Sleep mode, the netbook shows no line. It only happens when I close it with shut down...

Horizontal scroll bar with Line charts

I want a scrollable bar attached to x-axis as in this example(fourth one in the following URL---http://www.connectedpixel.com/blog/scrollingcharts).I able to find these feature only with ColumnCharts .Can any one tell whether can we apply the same to LineCharts .I request you to send some docs/examples of scrollbar with Line Charts

it's all fairly straightforward ActionScript stuff. Create a new ActionScript class derived from Panel. In a suitable handler create the line chart and scroll bar (HScrollbar), position them wherever you want with the x/y/height/width properties, and add them as children (otherwise they won't show up).
I'm not sure what you're wanting to do with the scroll bar but let's suppose that at the start you show all the x-axis data (which is the default) and have the scrollbar thumb pointer at 100% (ie scrollPosition=maxScrollPosition). Then catch the scroll event. In the handler, work out the percentage across of the current position (this is a whole lot easier if you've set maxScrollPosition=100 to start with), then work out the implied change to the line chart in terms of data values. I don't know if you know in advance the data values or not, but it doesn't really matter. Suppose the horizontal axis is a LinearAxis. keep hold of the data max value along this axis for later use (say max_data_value), then do
LinearAxis(chart.horizontalAxis).maximum = max_data_value * [the percentage worked out from the scroll bar]

Color wheel showing again with mail & other applications

Please note I am a MAC user and not anything close to an "experienced" user - I can do what I need to on my MAC. Any help/suggestions appreciated.
From another post I gathered I should check my console at the exact time the "wheel" showed up and copy that line of data here - so this is what I found:

I understand your are experiencing slowness while using your Mac. The following articles may provide a solution:
OS X Yosemite: If your Mac runs slowly
If you find your Mac is running slowly, there are a number of potential causes that you can check.
An app you’re using may require more memory than your computer has easily available. To see how much memory your computer has, choose Apple menu > About This Mac, then click Memory. See the help that came with the app to see its system requirements.
To find out how to increase your computer’s memory, choose Apple menu > About This Mac, click Memory, then click Memory Upgrade Instructions in the lower-left corner. documentation that came with the app to its system requirements.
To see what processor your computer has, choose Apple menu > About This Mac, then click Overview.
To see what graphics card your computer has, choose Apple menu > About This Mac, then click Displays. The name of the graphics card in your computer is displayed in the middle of the window.
Your computer’s startup disk may not have enough free disk space. To make disk space available, move files to another disk, then delete files you no longer need on the startup disk.
Quit any apps you’re not using.
If you have problems with your disk, use Disk Utility to verify and try and fix any issues.
Use Activity Monitor to see if a particular app or activity is making a large demand on your Mac.

-Your device needs both the CR and LF. To accomplish this:
option 1: Concatenate the "end of line" string constant (this is a combination of CR and LF, located in the string pallete) to all your outgoing commands. Make sure in the "Visa configure serial port" the "Termination character enable" flag is false.
option 2: Concatenate only a CR to your command's strings. Make sure in the "Visa configure serial port" the "Termination character enable" flag is TRUE AND that the termination character is set to 10 (meaning LF) which I think is the default.

Interesting would be to configure the serial port to accept not one but two termination characters. The above links refers to the document "Developer Zone Tutorial: Termination Characters in NI-VISA.", where this is supposed to be possible. The document however is 404'ed.

Why are some of the file folders on my desktop showing up with a shaded color?

Why are some of the folders on my desktop showing up with a different folder color, a dark shad of blue, opposed to the default blue color?
I've searched and searched but all I can find are posts on how to change the color of your folder. I am concerned that maybe, I accidentally shared it or have done something I am not aware of. (Mac Mini, 2.3 i7, 1TB, 16GB RAM running OS X Yosemite 10.10.2)

I don't know how many photos you're trying to post on one page but if you put too many PCs using Internet Explorer may have problems loading the page. I prefer to keep the number down to less than 50 and have more than one page which will be indicated by the page links at the top of the thumbnails:
These smaller pages will load faster and in more browsers.

What locations are you seeing these "problems"? If the satellite photos are older or not as clear, you may see some of what you describe. Take a look at one of the major cities and see if they are also appearing as you describe. Someplace like New York, London, Paris. Those are among the cities that seem to be updated most frequently.
Incidentally, the maps are web/cloud based and not contained within the maps app on your iPad, so regardless of the version of your app, you will still get the most current map available.

Scatter chart with lines between points

In one of our Deski reports, we have a "funnel" chart. This is essentially achieved with a scatter plot graph with lines drawn between the scatter points to resemble a line chart. This allows us to draw odd lines, such as a funnels that don't really look like funnels. (Picture drawing a concentric circle for another visualization of what we are trying to accomplish). So our problem is that we need to convert this Deski Report to Webi in order to move to BusinessObjects 4.1. But we cannot seem to achieve this in Webi because the scatter plot in Webi does not draw lines between the points. Any ideas out there? Can this be done in a current BusinessObjects tool?

Stacked Column Chart with Line

Hi
I need to Create a Stacked Column Chart representing 1 set of measures with a Line representing a target.
I want to create a chart where the Sales Amount in different Sectors is represented as a stacked column and the targets are represenetd as a line.
Currently BO supports Bar charts with line.
Does anyone know if such a feature will be supported in the new release of BO XI. Also is it possible to raise a request for this feature to be included in the new release

We are also a 30 persons department (Marketing) using in the same BO charts (since 2001) quarters made of :
- first single column ( 2014 billing in a query1)
- second stacked column (2015 billing +2015 firm orders backlog, 2015 frame orders backlog in a query2)
- third single column (2016 backlog in a query3)
and a superposed budget line
the first and the third column are offset respectively to the left and right of the second column by blank and dummy single columns of data called ghost1 and ghost2. 2016 is still empty here but the principle is clear.
This principle is used liberally in 200 + different reports. Also with transparent columns and other complicated, but graphically intuitive reports.
How can we continue to use this very natural representation of our several hundred million $ business. I have not found the mixed single column, stack column and line option in BO XI 3.1 . Please re-develop one asap if necessary. SAP should please please report asap on the recovery timeline of this lost feature. The switch from Visual Basic development to Java development should not lead to regression of any feature.

Issue with Excel Web Access --Excel graph showing only gray color

I am using "Excel Web Access" Web Parts to show the excel graphs in my MOSS2007 setup. I have multiple team sites under one site-collection. Excel web access is fine for all the team sites but , its showing only gray color for just one site. I tried to upload
new excel sheet with different graphs but still it shows the same gray color.

Some pictures show up with incorrect colors

some pictures show up with incorrect colors(eg. a person with green skin), and on Yahoo mail, the background which is supposed to be blue shows up as pink, as does the place where a user avatar would be.

This can be caused by a problem with the color profile for your display monitor or color profiles embedded in images.<br />
You can disable color management to test that.<br />
You can set the pref gfx.color_management.mode to 0 on the about:config page to disable Color Management.<br />
You need to close and restart Firefox or maybe even reboot the computer to make the change effective.<br />
